Blossoming Love With A Score of 700 - Chapter 5
E/D: Spirit Song
She didn’t have time to react, still keeping her upper body leaning on the table and talking to him. Wrinkly Wang walked over, knocking her head with a book that was rolled into a scroll in his hand.
Hitting the groundhog.
“I asked you to do your homework and here you are, talking to someone? You sure can carry a conversation anywhere, can’t you?” Wrinkly Wang dropped the book in his hand on the desk and looked up at Jiang Qihuai in the opposite direction, “Did you fill it out?”
Jiang Qihuai handed over what had written.
Wrinkly Wang took it, gave it a brief look and nodded, “Okay, I’ll see if there are any problems later and I’ll hand it in for you,” Wrinkly Wang raised his head, his brows that had been wringing loosened slightly, “I was colleagues with Ms Liu of the Affiliated High School and I heard her mention you before. In the provincial mock exam of the three schools last semester, you got a perfect score in mathematics?”
Tao Zhi turned her head and looked at him blankly.
Jiang Qihuai glanced at her indifferently, “Yeah.”
“Your Sciences don’t have much of a deduction either,” Wrinkly Wang continued, “The first place student in the Affiliated High School transferred to our Experimental School. Your teacher Liu keeps saying that I picked up a great bargain and she did not want you to transfer. Alright, the form is generally okay, so you can go back to the classroom first. Just take your time to slowly adapt to your first day of school today.”
Jiang Qihuai gave a response of affirmation, before he pushed the chair away and walked out of the office, passing by the stiff groundhog.
Tao Zhi, “…”
Tao Zhi, “??”
Tao Zhi, “???”
When Wrinkly Wang turned his head, Tao Zhi hadn’t recovered from her state of shock.
The test papers that were spreaded over the windowsill swished from the breeze of the wind, the warm voice seeming to be mercilessly mocking her.
With a soft sound, Wrinkly Wang tapped her head again.
Tao Zhi hissed before she came back to her senses. She raised her head and squinted her eyes, temper slightly flaring up.
Wrinkly Wang, “What’s the matter? Are you not satisfied that I’m asking you to complete your homework instead of chit-chatting? Do you want to beat me up?”
“…No,” Tao Zhi lowered his head again and said dryly.
“That’s enough, just go back to class first,” Wrinkly Wang said while picking out two books from his table, “School starts today, so I will spare you since this is your first offense. The next time I catch you copying your homework, I’ll make you stay here till you finish them all.”
Tao Zhi hummed affirmatively. It was rather impossible for her to not copy her homework, but in her heart she knew that all she had to do was not get caught.
Wrinkly Wang, “Find some time between classes to finish writing slowly because you still have to hand them in. I’ll give you a time limit— till this weekend.”
Tao Zhi raised her head and made a long sound, “Huh—?”
Wrinkly Wang, “What’s the matter? You don’t intend to hand it in?”
“No, no, I promise I will complete them,” Tao Zhi relaxed her facial expressions and collected the papers on the windowsill, clutching the entire stack in her arms and fled back to the classroom.
The morning self-study session was almost over. She slowly returned to her seat, where a petite girl was sitting next to her, reading an English book.
Someone was seated in the final row as well. The inner seat remained empty, but the outer seat was occupied by a boy.
Tao Zhi glanced casually before she paused.
The boy also raised his head.
Tao Zhi squinted her eyes, her facial expressions expressing slight dissatisfaction, her gaze already igniting the signal of an impending battle.
