My Daughter Grew Up to “Rank S” Adventurer - Chapter 59.3
Hi, everybody. I have recently started a new novel called I’ll Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History. You can check it out HERE.
For the past few days, Qasim had been Byaku and Charlotte’s magic teacher, and Belgrief had wanted to let Charlotte, but not Byaku, play a bit more, but Charlotte herself wanted to learn magic.
She had a lot of magical power in her body, but she wasn’t very knowledgeable about magic.
During her time as a priestess of Solomon, she had relied on the power of the ring that had been given to her. As long as she had magic power and a minimum amount of chanting, she was fine. Since then, she has not used any magic.
Compared to Maria, who was terribly strict, Qasim was much more lenient. That’s probably why Charlotte wanted to be taught magic.
Qasim didn’t seem to think it was too much trouble either, and was more than willing to teach the two of them various different things.
After a quick lunch at a stall, Belgrief left Qasim in charge of the two, and he and Angeline headed for the guild.
As they walked side by side through the traffic, Angeline happily hugged Belgrief’s arm, and Belgrief gave a small chuckle.
“You look happy, Angie.”
“Yeah! Ehehe… It’s like a dream come true to be able to walk around Orphen with Daddy like this!”
With that, Angeline tightened her hug on his arm.
Ever since her return from Estogar and the start of her life with Belgrief, Angeline had been exuding a surge of joy at every turn.
Unlike returning to Belgrief’s daily life in Tornella, she was happy to have Belgrief in her daily life.
Every day until a request came in from the guild to enter the dungeon, she would pull Belgrief around the streets of Orphen, showing him the good stores and places she liked to frequent.
The number of people in the guild building had calmed down, but it was still buzzing.
The Adventurer’s Guild is normally busy only from morning to noon.
Basically, any requests that come in after noon are processed only the next day unless they are urgent in nature. Therefore it is in the next morning that they are put up.
In the morning, there is a scramble for the best jobs, and impatient clients clamor for the best prices and the best adventurers.
After that, there are mostly high-ranking adventurers or experienced mid-level adventurers who can take requests at their own pace and still make a living. In the afternoons, they are mostly sorting out requests, assessing the materials brought in, and processing the completion of requests.
They went to the reception desk and found Marguerite. She was unpacking the claws, fangs, and bones of magical beasts from her tool bag and laying them out on the counter.
Perhaps sensing the sound of his prosthetic leg hitting the stone floor, Marguerite turned around and smiled.
“Hey, Bel, Angie too.”
“Oh, Marie, are you done?”
“Yeah. They said I’m almost at D Rank. But it’s not satisfying enough for me.”
Marguerite smiled mischievously, and Angeline giggled.
“So, want to have another mock battle…?”
“Oh! Great! I’m going to beat you to a pulp today!”
“I’m not going to let Marie beat me…”
“You said it, buddy! I’m going to destroy that confidence!”
Marguerite happily poked Angeline on the shoulder.
Perhaps it was because they were the same age and almost evenly matched in ability, but for now, Angeline and Marguerite had developed some kind of friendly rivalry.
But so far, Angeline had the upper hand.
Their skill with swords was about equal, but perhaps there was a difference in experience.
However, the more times they faced each other, the more refined Marguerite’s movements seemed to become.
Belgrief smiled when he saw the two of them taunting and shouting at each other. Having a partner like this would spur their growth. And they would make good friends.
Belgrief scratched his head, thinking that two geniuses were definitely out of his league.
