The Consequences of Having a Master-Servant Relationship With a Yandere After Reincarnation - Side Story 2
Side Story 2 - A Servant’s Weakness
My master’s face looks terrible.
She’s trying to keep her smile plastered on her face, but the corner of her lips are twisted. The same pair of lips are tightly shut as she’s trying to hold back her tears from pouring out from the corner of her eyes. It’s so cute. I shoulda tried to make an excuse for this situation, but seeing her in this state made me forget about it, I just want to hug her so badly now.
Ojou-sama who greeted me at the entrance of the classroom looked at me and the person clinging to my arm in turn.
“This girl…Who is she, I wonder…?”
Tears finally spilled from Ojou-sama’s eyes. I know I shouldn’t but I feel like laughing at her.
“Are you… a friend of Ashley’s?”
“No. She’s just a pervert, I don’t even know her name.”
Ojou-sama’s complexion looked a little better when I said that loud and clear. It feels good that my words and actions are affecting her mood like this.
In a different situation, I would immediately rush to her and shower her with my love.
However, thanks to the stranger clinging in my arms, I’m in no mood for that. My excitement is pretty much zero now.
And the same person somehow could make my mood worsen.
“You’re the daughter of Viscount Aldington? My, you’re even uglier than I thought.”
Said that girl whose name I didn’t even know while clinging to my arm with a triumphant look on her face.
Ugly? Who are you talking about?
Are you calling my master ugly? The lovable idiot, my most precious, most beautiful, goddess-like master-cum-lover? You ugly b*tch.
“You’re the ugly one here, so shut up, ugly.”
“Ashley! You can’t say that to a girl!”
Ojou-sama said that to me with a scary expression on her face. Ah, right, this should be the first time I used such crude word in front of her.
But, who cares. I’m just saying the truth out loud.
“Cecille… sama, every other girl is merely a blur in front of your radiance.”
“Stop making such embarrassing remarks with a straight face! Besides, don’t you think you’re being really rude to that girl?”
She called you the same thing, you know? This ugly girl called you ugly.
The girl clinging in my arm rubbed against me without looking particularly offended. It seems like she pretended to not hear anything.
Then, likewise, Ojou-sama found out that trying to pay any attention to such a girl is a wasteless effort and immediately stopped being considerate to her. Sometimes she could become dry like this. Not sure whether she’s just lacked much sympathy for others or she is just moody.
“So, why is she clinging to you like that?”
“Well… she stopped me in the hallway earlier…”
She called my name out of nowhere before clinging to me while saying, ‘I’m going to make you mine! Be grateful to me!’ I told her I was in a hurry, but she refused to let me go. I really didn’t want to keep Ojou-sama waiting because of a dumb stranger, so, I came here with this thing on my arm.
I was only thinking to meet Ojou-sama as soon as possible and decided that I’ll get rid of this thing after I saw Ojou-sama’s face. And now, here I am.
“That’s about it, I don’t know her at all.”
“Ara…”
“I hope you can help me throw her away.”
“But, I feel like I’ll get bitten if I do that.”
Ah right, she’s glaring at Ojou-sama as if she’s going to bite her to death. I should get rid of her by myself.
“Ara, now that I’ve seen you closer, you look familiar… Aren’t you the daughter of Count Campbell?”
Ahh, right… I did hear that the daughter of Count Campbell is in the same grade as me.
I never paid any attention to the people who aren’t directly related to Ojou-sama, so I’ve never bothered to find out anything about her.
I think Rona talked about her too? Something about the neighboring class’ Count Campbell’s daughter is lovely as a doll?
…Is she really…?
Honestly, I’m not very interested in girls except for one girl and to me, all of them mostly look the same.
“Do you need my servant for something, Miss Campbell?”
Ojou-sama asked politely, to which the daughter of Count Campbell replied with a rude glare.
“Ha? You’re merely a daughter of a Viscount, don’t you dare talk to me like I’m your equal.”
I always have weapons with me. Knives and small arms that are easy to handle, I kept them in my pocket to protect Ojou-sama.
“Ashley put your knife away.”
“But, Ojou-sama…”
“Put it away.”
“…Yes.”
I hate idiots. More importantly, I hate rude idiots like her. Hopeless idiots that you couldn’t even converse normally with. Anyone who insulted my master and my master’s household like her deserves to be hurt.
“Daughter of Viscount Aldington! This is an order! Give Ashley to me, right now!”
“Stop pointing your finger at my master, it’s unpleasant to look at.”
I want to snap her fingers.
I’m in a really bad mood now, thanks to this Count’s daughter.
“No. That child is mine, you know?”
Ojou-sama smiled at the girl, yet her eyes looked like they were threatening her.
‘Right?’ It seemed like she was asking that, so I nodded vigorously in reply. I love this possessive side of her, she’s been showing it lately, it feels pleasant to see it.
“A mere Viscount’s daughter is trying to defy me, a Count’s daughter?!”
“You know you are a freshman and I am a sophomore. Do you know something called ‘seniority’? With all due respect, Miss Campbell, as my junior, I haven’t seen any semblance of manners I should have received from you.”
The Count’s daughter’s face twisted in humiliation as her body started to shiver.
It seems like this Miss Campbell didn’t know that Viscount Aldington plays a major role in our country.
The current head of the family, Cedric Aldington, is the man responsible for resolving this country’s diplomatic issues. There are only two other countries in this world, and because of this, there is a clear division in power between all countries, in addition to that, those countries aren’t exactly stable, every cities and town have their own forces and ideologies that they believed in. The Master, who involved himself with those different forces, is naturally in contact with every one of them, ranging from nobles to militias.
The Master is good at poking his opponent’s weakness that he could easily start a rebellion if he wanted to, and he could be a threat to the central government. In addition, it’s a well-known fact that his daughter is in contact with the heir of Duke Randolph, Count Wood, Baron Morton, and even the future head of the Cosgrove household, which has recently risen in power, albeit their financial power is still on the low side.
It was Master’s wish that the Aldington household should settle down on the Viscounty instead of rising higher in the rank of the nobility. He didn’t want too much power to fall into his hands and he wanted to spend more time with his daughter. In the first place, he’s never attached to his title and he feels most comfortable at his current position.
The central government is very happy to hear this since the person who received this much attention doesn’t get attached to his power, so they have a favorable impression of him.
In addition, though this is a secret, the King couldn’t carelessly go against Cecille Aldington since she is holding on to his weakness.
In other words, currently, this daughter of Viscount has more power than the count’s daughter.
This young lady is simply too naive and dumb.
She is the prideful and troublesome type of lady who thinks that everything could be obtained with power and power alone.
Speaking of troublesome, my master is no less troublesome than her, but I don’t dislike her since in her case, her troublesome part is that she is dense and stingy.
“Ashley, how long are you going to let her cling to your arm?”
“Do you want me to shake her off? Then, please order me properly, master.”
“I just have to say it… Jeez… Then, please let her go, or else I’ll get jealous.”
I’ve been feeling self-conscious lately because ever since she said that she liked me back, sometimes she seemed to understand what I was thinking.
Since this is Ojou-sama’s ‘order’, I yanked my hand away from the girl. Finally freeing myself, I took my master’s hand.
“Let’s go, I’ve already got the permission to enter the dorm. All we need to do now is to go shopping, then we can continue our plan on Ojou-sama’s room.”
“Mhm, let’s do that.”
“Hey, wait a minute! I came here personally to ask you a favor! Give me your servant quickly!”
What insolence… she’s really getting on my nerves. Like Ojou-sama previously stated, she is the junior and Ojou-sama is the senior, the seniority hierarchy still exists in this school. Even Rona who has royal blood still maintains a certain amount of respect toward Ojou-sama due to her being his senior.
Ojou-sama wrinkled her brow as she clapped her hands twice.
“Leila.”
“What is it, O, pretty woman?”
…
“Why is Morton-senpai here?”
“I’m here to mess with Hugh and Oswell.”
I see. So that’s why she came all the way to this class. She’s messing with both the prince and the Ojou-sama and could still live to tell the tale, that’s amazing. Also, since she is a womanizer, there’s a possibility that she came here to flirt with Ojou-sama as well.
“Then, please step away from Ojou-sama, Morton-senpai.”
“What’s with you, kouhai? We’re both girls, a little bit of skinship is fine.”
“You really have no shame whatsoever.”
Morton-senpai who had been embracing Ojou-sama from behind, at some point already turned her gaze toward Miss Campbell. What can I say? As expected of a womanizer.
“Well, this girl wishes to talk to Leila, I think her name is… Miss Alicia? Daughter of Count Campbell, Alicia Campbell. She is a first-year and a tsundere. She might seem thorny, but she’s actually just embarrassed, so, treat her well, okay?”
“A younger girl! I love them! Oh, I love you too, by the way, Cecille~”
That last part of her speech pissed me off.
“Yes, yes, then we’re going. See you tomorrow, Miss Morton.”
* * *
As per Ojou-sama’s request, we made stew. The two of us made the thing together while I explained the know-hows to Ojou-sama. Doing this gave me a similar feeling to when I was tending to the garden, I felt warm.
“It’s tasty… as expected of Ashley.”
“You did most of the cooking, Ojou-sama, this is mostly the fruit of your own efforts.”
The fact that this isn’t the first time she served her own cooked dish to other people made me feel annoyed, but, whatever.
After emptying her plate, Ojou-sama stood up, walked away, and came back with something in her hands. Ah, it is the thing she sneakily bought when we were out in the town, I saw her trying to buy it behind my back.
“I bought this so I can eat it after dinner, of course, I bought your portion too. You’ll eat it together with me, right? I bought it so we could eat it together. You wouldn’t refuse me, would you?”
When you’ve known someone for so long, you would come to know each other’s tastes. Therefore, it’s also natural to know each other’s favorite and least favorite foods. When Ojou-sama told me that she wanted to make stew, I understood that she did it because she knew that I liked stew.
“Macarons, huh…?”
Aside from knowing what I like, naturally, she also knows what I dislike.
I don’t mind eating pumpkins, chestnuts, or any kind of sweet fruits, but… The sugary, bad-for-your-health foods that girls would like, I dislike them. They are too sweet for me, I hate the sensations of the sugar clogging up my throat, it is unpleasant.
Did she forget that we had a big fight when she said ‘You have a pretty face like a woman, but you don’t like sweets?’ to my face? Incidentally, I retorted her by saying ‘You tried too hard to act like an adult, yet you couldn’t even eat green peppers, what a shameless person.’ Then because of that, the fight escalated to the point where Master forced both of us to eat both things properly.
“You actually won’t eat it? Even though I bought it for you.”
If I don’t eat this, her navel gonna be bent for a while[1].
“…Are you mad at me?”
“Mad? Why would I? Because a random girl told me that she liked you and flirted with you? I don’t care about that.”
So you ARE angry.
“Where are you looking at?”
“Your nose is getting bigger[2].”
“No, it isn’t
“You’re the worst. Nasty.”
“I don’t think I’ve done anything wrong… and as expected, you’re still angry aren’t you?”
Since when did someone’s nose could get bigger on their own? Does Ojou-sama have bad eyesight?
“Okay, ahh.”
“What? Not only you are trying to make me do this kind of embarrassing act, but you’re asking me to eat this unreasonably colored lump of sugar?”
If she had chosen something with a more natural color, I won’t be this bothered (I still won’t voluntarily eat it). I mean, this thing’s color is purple and blue. What is she trying to pull? Is she trying to harass me?
“You’re not going to eat it? Woah, I see Ashley trying to reject my love…”
“Don’t be unreasonable…”
There’s nothing impossible in the face of love? Well, sadly that’s not how reality works.
“Forgive me, I’m unable to eat this much sweets.”
“Then, let’s do it like this, mouth to mouth, how about it?”
“What did you mean by ‘how about it?’”
She wouldn’t do something embarrassing like this normally! I can’t believe she would actually do this… Seriously, it’s true that when someone let their anger cloud their judgments, they would do incomprehensible things. I bet she’ll go crazy in embarrassment after she calmed down a little.
Ojou-sama put a macaron in her mouth and came over to me.
This view is supposed to be a sight for the sore eyes, but the thought of me answering her and eating THAT is just too much. I felt nauseous as I imagine the moment when that lump of sugar entered my mouth.
…I can’t run away from this, can I…?
“Ugh… Ohhh…”
It’s disgusting.
“You have to swallow it properly, okay?”
I took a bite of the macaron as Ojou-sama did the same before putting it back on her plate.
“…Urp”
So sweet. It feels disgusting.
“You’ve got to taste it properly, okay?”
The rough texture of the sugar feels unpleasant. It’s awful. Nasty. Disgusting.
“…Ugh… Haa…”
“Have you swallowed everything?”
Ojou-sama’s eyes sparkled, and for once, I hated that expression of her.
I opened my mouth and stick out my tongue to let her check.
“Are you satisfied now?”
“Ashley, you look pale… are you okay?”
What is she on about now?
“Ah, but I do feel a little bit better now. So, don’t you ever cling to another girl again, okay?”
Who even did that in the first place? Is there something wrong with her eyesight?
Well, I can’t tell her to not get jealous, I’ve been in her shoes before after all.
Still, I won’t just let her have her way with me like this.
“Ojou-sama, I’m gonna make lunch for you tomorrow, do you mind?”
“My! Really? I’ll look forward to it, then.”
Ojou-sama happily chewed on the remaining macarons. You’ll get fat, Ojou-sama. I see your nutrition is imbalanced, so let’s make vegetables the main dish for lunch tomorrow.
“Ah, right, the school gardener recently gave me some of his harvests.”
“Really? What did he give you?”
“Peppers.”
This is something that I recently noticed.
“Seeing Ojou-sama’s face contorted in despair like this made me feel satisfied.”
[1] 臍を曲げる, the expression for having a bad mood.
[2] 鼻の下を伸ばす, harder to explain, basically there is this thing if a man is being kind to a woman, his nose would get longer/bigger. In this context, she is calling him a womanizer, kinda.
