The Consequences of Having a Master-Servant Relationship With a Yandere After Reincarnation - Side Story 8
A/N: Happy new year! This chapter is kinda anti-climatic.
Side Story 8 – Oswell’s Story
A servant’s workload normally depended on the master they served.
Also, depending on the master’s personality, they would struggle with different things.
Ashley Carlyle, for example, probably had constant stomachache due to his master’s personality. Well, as long as he’s happy, everything should be alright for him.
On the other hand, Gray Randolph’s servant was influenced by their master’s tendencies to draw in misfortunes. Though, nowadays, I can’t laugh at them anymore.
And while she had no servants currently, if she had one, Leila Morton’s servant would probably collapse on the day they started serving her due to stress.
Compared to them, I’m blessed with a great master.
He’s sincere, his personality is great, he’s a born winner and lady luck smiled at him. My flawless master. That was what I originally thought.
That flawless master of mine…
“What are you doing?”
“Can’t you understand by looking?”
He’s a flawless man.
There’s no way that he would be on all fours while hiding in the bushes.
“There’s no way that me, an ordinary person, would be able to understand your actions.”
“You should hide too, idiot! Or else, that woman will find you!”
“Prince Flugel, Your Highness, you look like a fool.”
“You just had too high of an opinion of me. Also, don’t snitch on me. Don’t mention my real name in the school either!”
I wonder which woman is he talking about?
The vulgar one or the devil incarnate?
Lelia Morton is a source of trauma for my master. I don’t know what kind of words Leila Morton said to him, but he was unable to eat for three days after that conversation happened.
He also started to believe that every woman is bad, and started to develop gynophobia.
On top of that, he is forced to be her caretaker. Though as expected of a member of the royal family, he was able to get himself together quickly.
The only saving grace in his current life is that Leila Morton tends to be distracted by Lufrey Wood, who she holds a grudge with. I feel sorry for him, but at the same time, I’m grateful for him for lessening our burdens.
But, the source of evil who made us carry the burden called Leila Morton would never let us off easy. She would go out of her way to bring Leila Morton to our doorstep.
“Leila Morton is in the classroom, messing around with Wood. As for Cecille, she is chatting with Rona Randolph, don’t worry”
After a deep sigh of relief, he stood up while saying, I see, and trying to look as normal as possible.
“Don’t worry about things too much. I mean, even if your inside said otherwise, your look is good enough to make people fall in love with you at first sight.”
“What I look for in a woman is humility and elegance. In other words, unlike you, my standard is high.”
I see. Leila Morton did fulfill his tastes, well aside from her personality, that’s it.
Flugel, who had always stayed in the castle, was surrounded by flawless and graceful women, that’s why his standard is high. In spite of this, that woman was able to make him fall in love with her, meaning that her mannerisms were flawless, and she was charmful.
Too bad her insides are disappointing.
“You’re way too stiff. You’re royalty, you should have scored one or two lovers already at this age.”
Though, that probably would become a royal scandal, so do that kind of thing in secrecy.
“I would never be so uncouth like that. What if I accidentally impregnate someone? No, if I were to do it, then it shouldn’t be an accident, but still, if I were to have a child, the whole affair would turn into a country-wide crisis, and then…”
This is hard.
Also, he said that he had no intention to have a second wife even when he ascended the throne, but at this rate, I wondered if he would ever get himself a wife at all.
“If it’s children you’re worried about, you can raise as many illegitimate children as you like, no? You’re the prince, you’re bloody rich.”
“You’re such a sc*m, do you know that?”
It isn’t like I’m planning on doing it. I’m just a servant, I can’t do that, you know?
I’m just worried that if I can’t make him indulge himself with women, he would eventually lean toward the other side instead.
Wait, could it be, he already went to that side?
“Did you already fetch yourself a man instead?”
“I’ll send you to jail for defamation.”
Good, he’s still okay, but if he kept coming into contact with Leila Morton, there’s a possibility that this will soon change.
A woman’s voice could be heard from behind Flugel. Hearing that, his shoulders suddenly started shaking. Seriously, how could he think of sitting on the throne if this much interaction with women made him shiver?
He turned around to see a woman, a thin, sheltered-looking student stood there with a shriveled face. I know this woman. Hell, I’ve even talked to her before.
“What’s the matter, Miss Dino?”
Camila Dino. She’s a fellow servant, I heard a rumor that she started serving her master when he saved her from a human trafficker. She is one year older than me.
“Have you seen our young masters? Master is currently in the headmaster’s office, and he asked me to call them both.”
“I’m sorry that I don’t know the whereabouts of the older brother, but I saw the younger brother in the courtyard.”
Camilla Dino, lowered her eyebrows as she smiled for a moment before hurriedly bowing. She looked cute.
“Thank you very much, Mister Arkwright, I will make sure to return this favor, now please excuse me.”
She bowed to both me and Flugel before running off in a hurry. She’s actually pretty popular among the people with specific tastes in this academy, which is understandable, she’s cute.
Anyway, it’s time for us to go back inside for lunch. I turned to Flugel.
“…are you kidding me…?”
Master made a sloppy face as he looked at Camilla Dino’s vanishing figure with a feverish gaze. Seriously, why?
“Is she your acquaintance, Oz?”
“Yes, she is.”
Weren’t you preaching about looking for humility and elegance in women not too long ago? Her humility came in from her status as a former slave, you know?
Is it because your first love was that vulgar woman, your standard lowered so much that every other decent woman seems attractive and high-class to you?
If that’s the case, it would be a problem.
While it’s necessary for him to get used to women to some extent, but if this serious guy, who had never touched a woman in his life fell for a cunning woman, both he and this country will collapse.
Camilla Dino is fine as a woman, but she is a walking time bomb. If you somehow mess up your relationship with her, the backlash would be unimaginable.
“For your information, she’s a friend of Cecille Aldington.”
That’s not a lie, she is. Also, it would be more efficient to use her name now to snap him out of his delusions than trying to make a long-winded explanation to him.
Sure enough, the moment he heard Cecille’s name, Flugel came back to his senses.
“I see… what about her personality…?”
I won’t answer that landmine of a question, it’s out in the open, we won’t know whether someone is listening to our conversation or not.
“Give me a break, prince… You’re a prince, you shouldn’t approach a woman carelessly.”
“You changed your stance on that fairly quickly, huh?”
Whose fault do you think it is?
* * *
“You couldn’t sleep well last night? You got dark circles.”
“…that’s rare, you are starting a conversation with me.”
Carlyle, who probably visited this classroom for Cecille, suddenly called me out. I’m alone, Flugel isn’t with me, while the woman this guy is looking for, Cecille, went out somewhere with Rona Randolph.
“Don’t mind me. I’m just glad to see you are doing well. Your heartbreak has already healed, I assume?”
“Do you enjoy rubbing salt on people’s wounds?”
The way he said that with a straight face annoyed me. Seriously, what’s this guy’s deal?
“No, actually, I don’t really care.”
“I see. With that attitude, I guess you don’t have many friends, huh?”
“Correct. I only have one.”
“That guy’s mentality should be unnaturally strong then.”
He seems to be mindful about his words, which is fresh, coming from him, but still, his lack of delicacy shows. As far I can see, he couldn’t even hide his true nature from me, and his communication skill is abysmal. Though, this is probably because of Cecille Aldington’s influence. Well, whatever, as long as he doesn’t mind about it, I don’t care.
“Anyway, you look very tired, what’s up?”
“It’s all thanks to your master and that amusing Baron daughter, my master has a few screws loose now. Thank you for asking by the way.”
He fell in love with women easily now. It wasn’t limited to Camilla Dino, he fell for any decent women that caught his eye.
“Ah, about your master, she was caught by that embarrassment of a Baron daughter.”
“…God d*mn it… Give me a break.”
As I was about to leave the classroom, Carlyle gave me something.
“What is this? Sweets?
“They said sugar is good when you feel tired, I hate it though.”
“Now you’re acting like a good guy to me, huh?”
“Out of pity, yes.”
Sure. Remember the time you got me kicked out of my workplace and got me dumped? Me neither.
* * *
Following Carlyle’s words, I was able to retrieve my master. Though on the way to the classroom, somehow his eyes wouldn’t stop following every woman he passed by.
The earnest and untainted master that I knew is gone.
“Hey, Hugh! Stop it!”
“What do you mean, ‘stop it’?”
“Stop eyeing every single woman you saw, please, I beg you.”
“Are you mocking me? Do you think I could be swayed by the likes of Leila Morton or Cecille Aldington?”
Sure, sure, but you would be swayed by every other woman except for those two.
Also, the way he put it, is he making fun of me falling in love with the latter? I mean, I deserved it, but c’mon.
“Let’s just wait until you graduate before trying to get yourself a girl. For now, I’m here for you, so please, just make do with me.”
Why did I say that? I meant to say I’ll support you both in your duties and love life, so please just endure it until you graduate, but instead, I went ahead and said those words.
Stop. Don’t look at me like that. I don’t lean that way either, so please stop. Please, believe in your servant more.
“So, you are leaning that way now?”
“Wha… Oi, oi, wait! You, Rona Randolph, stop!”
I was unlucky. Rona Randolph happened to pass by as he called me out with a disgusting smile.
He’s going to spread it, isn’t he?
“I… I don’t lean that way!!”
The next day, I feel like everyone’s eyes gathered on me.
My master patted me on my shoulder while saying, don’t worry, it’s just a rumor, I believe in you. For the first time, I felt an urge to kill my master.
