A Demon Lord’s Tale: Dungeons, Monster Girls, and Heartwarming Bliss - Chapter 578.3
“If you show your back, you’ll lose!” (Yuki)
I accelerated with a flap of my wings.
Then, from midair, I plummeted down towards the neck of the Gorilla Lion.
Enne’s blade struck down with speed, this time firmly severing the bone, and its head slipped off.
The head fell off, and a moment later, the torso fell to the ground.
???
“I’m home!” (Yuki)
“…I’m home.” (Enne)
“I was tired dealing with monsters. –I’m back, Riou and Sakuya.” (Yuki)
I first patted Riou’s head and then took Sakuya in my arms.
“My son, I’ve cleaned up the mess you have created by dealing with some monsters. But the monsters were too weak. At that level… so I had to deal with at least 30 of those monsters before I considered it to at least be a good deal. But anyway, Sakuya, when you grow up, you’re going to pay me back for this, okay?” (Yuki)
“Uh-uh?” (Sakuya)
“…If you need weapons, Enne will help you. So, Sakuya, build up your muscles until you can use Enne.” (Enne)
“Kakaka, that sounds like a lot of work for him to do. He must do his best just to pass the requirements his sister will ask of him.” (Lefi)
“…I thought about Riou too, but I guess it will be a little difficult for her.” (Enne)
“I doubt a heavy sword like Enne would be a good choice for Riou. Well, she’s a girl, and if Riou is going to have a weapon, Nell’s direction might be better.” (Yuki)
“…Too bad. Then, I’ll work with Nell to teach Riou how to use a sword.” (Enne)
“Ah, yeah, I’d like that.” (Nell)
While we were talking about that, Lyuu looked at my face and said to me, “Husband, I want you to take out the laundry and stuff from the item box! I’m going to wash everything at once.”
“Yes, and take out all the knick-knacks, too. Let’s put it all away at once.” (Lefi)
“Oh, right, I’m still holding the big baggage. Okay, let’s split up and clean up.” (Yuki)
And so we all started cleaning up.
For some reason, I also enjoyed this clean up.
I didn’t know how to describe it, but… I guess it was because I felt a sense of family, including the hassle of cleaning up afterward.
Family…
For some time now, I have come to feel most comfortable using that word to describe everyone in the dungeon.
I never thought that the day would come when I would be so dependent on others. Now I’m kept alive by my family, and I’m willing to live for them.
That was the only constant thought that had taken root in the center of my being.
“…Riou, Sakuya… Let’s go on a trip again after some time.” (Yuki)
“Here, Yuki, when you’re done with that one, help me with this one. We have enough luggage for 13 people, so we’d better be quick, or we won’t be able to finish it by the end of the day.” (Lefi)
“Alright, alright, I’m on it.” (Yuki)
I reached for the laundry.
