A Sweet Girl Won't Be Fooled By The Villainess - [Vol. 3] Chapter 14
[Vol. 3] Chapter 14: Damn it!
Amelia didn’t immediately move in response to the crew member’s urging. She turned her head to glance at Ifia, hesitating on whether to bring Ifia along.
However…
Compared to her not needing to eat, Ifia, being a delicate human, needed proper meals. As Ifia met Amelia’s gaze, she immediately understood the dilemma. She lifted her other hand to support her chin and blinked at Amelia.
“It’s okay, I’m not a child. I’ll go back to the room and continue lying down after finishing breakfast unless it’s necessary.”
Unless necessary, Ifia didn’t like wandering around. She preferred her own soft bed! Moreover, what danger could there be on this ship?
Seeing Ifia’s “I’m very obedient” look, Amelia raised an eyebrow and laid down a few ground rules, “No going alone to the deck to sneak a peek at sea creatures.”
“……”
Damn it!
She got noticed by Amelia. Ifia wilted like a frost-bitten eggplant all of a sudden! Whether it was because she couldn’t hide her thoughts or Amelia was overly alert, she had been preemptively detected!
She did want to go and see the giant sea creature she encountered yesterday… Ideally, it would perform some maritime acrobatics for her.
“Ifia, answer me.”
“Okay.”
Seeing Ifia’s dissatisfied expression, Amelia sighed helplessly. She then reached out and gently touched Ifia’s head, giving her a feeling of taking care of a mischievous daughter.
Past experiences had shown that as long as she didn’t keep an eye on Ifia, she would inevitably get involved in all sorts of strange incidents, requiring rescue.
Afterwards, Ifia watched as Amelia left and took a rather tasteless bite of her sandwich.
“It’s become less tasty now!”
“Hey, Ifia, were you waiting for me?”
Just as Ifia was gloomily preparing to finish breakfast quickly and return to the room, Jessica’s excited voice suddenly echoed from the hall entrance.
Following that, a gust of wind blew in, and Jessica plopped down beside Ifia.
This instantly lifted Ifia’s mood. She shared half of the food on the table with her friend, leaving only the portion Amelia had pushed over.
Without hesitation, Jessica happily dug into the food. After a night, her stomach had been growling incessantly.
Seafood barbecue is delicious, but it doesn’t really fill you up. It’s been digested a long time ago! Due to hunger, Jessica ate at an incredibly fast pace. After reluctantly filling her stomach to some extent, she had the energy to start talking to Ifia.
“Ifia, were you escorted back by Miss Barlen last night?”
While eating apple pie, Jessica had a sly smile on her face. As soon as the keyword “last night” came up, Ifia uncontrollably remembered her drunken antics, making her involuntarily tug at the corners of her mouth. She thought, except for Amelia, absolutely no one else should know!
Therefore, Ifia quickly concealed any awkwardness and answered casually, “Well, maybe I drank too much. After I got back to the room, I fell asleep right away.”
“That’s nice. I also want to sleep until dawn, but last night…”
Jessica cast an envious glance at Ifia and then pouted, complaining. This immediately piqued Ifia’s interest.
In the adventurous game they played last night, Amelia proposed the condition to Austin that she had to choose someone to share a room with. It was precisely because Austin chose Jessica that Ifia accompanied her timid friend to drink. If she hadn’t drunk, she wouldn’t have acted crazy and wouldn’t have left behind an embarrassing black history! So, Ifia was very curious about the developments between Austin and Jessica!
Facing Ifia’s curious gaze, Jessica raised her hand somewhat embarrassedly and scratched her head. She didn’t appear shy but rather frustrated as she recounted the events of last night.
“Even though I was drunk, I still kept my wits about me. After returning to the room with Austin, she actually asked me to sleep on the sofa!”
“Austin, on the other hand, comfortably lay on the bed. Who could tolerate that? Even if I’m drunk, I’m not someone who would take a disadvantage. So, I took the initiative before Austin. While she was getting ready, I seized the big bed!”
As Jessica proudly recounted her feat of single-handedly taking over the big bed, there was a triumphant look on her face. Clearly, she considered the subsequent developments a preliminary success.
“After I took the bed first, Austin had no choice but to sleep on the sofa. I lay on the bed for a while, originally in a daze and wanting to sleep. But suddenly, I realized I hadn’t freshened up.”
“I didn’t drink enough last night, so I was still able to climb out of bed and go to the bathroom to freshen up. After feeling refreshed all over, just as I was about to get back into bed, but…”
Seemingly reaching a frustrating part of the story, Jessica’s voice paused for a moment. Then she continued, “When I came out of the bathroom, I actually saw Austin sleepwalking, and she was sleepwalking naked!”
“Although Austin has a pretty good figure, I don’t really want to see a woman exposed like that.”
“So, I pretended not to see and just lay on the bed. Just as I was about to pull up the blanket to cover myself and sleep, Austin unexpectedly climbed onto the bed too!”
Even when narrating her own bizarre experiences from last night, Jessica didn’t forget to use suspenseful pauses. This left Ifia feeling helpless and amused, but she also squeezed a sweat for Jessica’s adventures from the night before.
Although Ifia hadn’t deliberately paid attention to Austin last night, it seemed she had also had quite a bit to drink… It’s just that she didn’t show it as clearly as Jessica, walking steadily and seemingly not displaying any signs of intoxication.
Initially, Ifia thought Austin had a good alcohol tolerance, but now it seemed she was just putting on a show.
“When I thought Austin was going to make a move on me, she suddenly knelt down in front of me.”
“Confessing, she said, ‘People like me will definitely go to hell’.”
“With those evil demons.”
At this point, Jessica pulled her mouth corners silently, recalling the scene from last night that was truly unexpected!
Austin had always presented herself as shrewd and capable, as if there were no problems she couldn’t solve. However, this person, unexpectedly, cried and confessed. It was a complete subversion of her usual image!
“I think Austin must have accumulated too much pressure in her usual life, so she ended up like this. I heard you shouldn’t suddenly wake up someone sleepwalking, so I just sat on the bed and watched.”
“As a result, Austin, this unpredictable character, after saying a bunch of confessions related to demons, actually rushed over and hugged me.”
“Saying she wanted to atone, asking the demon to take away her body.”
“Only at this point did I realize that Austin wasn’t sleepwalking, she was just drunk and playing around!!!”
Jessica, as she reached the climax of her story, angrily pounded the table with her hand. Then she pointed to the dark circles under her eyes, exasperatedly saying, “And then, Austin slept with me the whole night. She doesn’t sleep soundly, always tossing and turning!”
“I never want to share a bed with her again!”
Originally, Austin, in Jessica’s eyes, was an elite and super talented individual. Apart from infiltrating enemy territory due to a news report, she was also the leader of the Rachel family at a young age.
It could be said that among the younger generation of the nobility, aside from Miss Barlen, Austin was also an outstanding figure.
However, after close contact with such an elite, the halo shattered with a snap!
Now, in Jessica’s eyes, Austin is just someone who gets drunk, likes to play around, and confesses!
On the side, Ifia was also extremely shocked after hearing her friend’s ordeal, unable to imagine that Austin’s drunken antics would be like this. Compared to her own drunken state, it seemed they were two peas in a pod!
Suddenly, Ifia felt relieved. She wasn’t the only one who got drunk and shared embarrassing stories!
After finally finishing her complaints, Jessica started devouring her food like a pig. However, to quickly forget about the disastrous events of the previous night, she needed a new topic. So, after giving it some thought, she turned to Ifia and asked, “Ifia, do you know anything about Taric Kingdom?”
Although Ifia was undoubtedly aware of the relevant information about Taric Kingdom as a participant in the new route fleet, she didn’t board the ship through the auction like the other nobles. Instead, she was personally brought to the fleet by Miss Barlen, so it was normal if she didn’t know.
Subsequently, seeing Ifia shaking her head in confusion, Jessica confirmed her speculation.
In fact, it was true. Although the immersive experience storyline most likely took place in Taric Kingdom, Ifia had only seen the underground basement and the ship’s deck. Currently, she knew that Taric Kingdom was rich in gold and coffee.
“Well, let me explain it to you. Taric Kingdom is known for its abundant gold and coffee production. You should know that, right? This is also one of the important reasons why nobles actively go to Taric Kingdom, to see if the reality matches the rumors about its rich resources.”
“However, apart from the abundant resources, there’s one thing you must pay attention to!”
“The people of Taric Kingdom value strength. While they aren’t lacking in intelligence, they prefer action over using their brains! So if you have a dispute with the locals, don’t expect to persuade them with reasoning.”
Jessica finished most of her food, then lifted her juice to take small sips, emphasizing the key points for Ifia.
This puzzled Ifia, and she tilted her head, asking, “Is Taric Kingdom really so barbaric?”
Recalling the fragments of the storyline, the guards who appeared in the basement prison had attire and jewelry with exotic features, but they still seemed sophisticated and well-designed, not like something from a primitive society.
“Most of them are like that, but the nobles from Taric Kingdom are relatively mild. The Duke Barlen was able to open the route to Taric Kingdom because he agreed to a condition from Taric Kingdom!”
“They allowed the royal family and nobles of Taric Kingdom to study and further their education in the Sith Empire.”
At this point, Jessica looked at Ifia, noticing her frown, and quickly reassured her, “However, we are just going there for sightseeing. There will be a guide with us throughout the journey, so nothing should go wrong.”
“Moreover, with Miss Barlen by your side, you have nothing to worry about.”
When Jessica started talking about Miss Barlen’s bravery and was about to share the exciting battle stories from her time in the knight order, the ship suddenly shook.
Glasses on the table fell, and the hall echoed with the sound of breaking glass. Unlike yesterday’s stop, the ship’s speed was now increasing.
Is the sea monster back?
Jessica, puzzled, looked toward the entrance of the hall. Just as she was curious, a crew member rushed into the hall. His face showed panic and fear, and his body trembled uncontrollably. He shouted to the nobles in the hall,
“Pirates are coming!”
