[Vol. 3] Chapter 62: Taric Kingdom is Really Dangerous

Ifia felt incredibly lucky. Apart from the first encounter with the Dark Elves, where the white halo repelled their deadly assault, the second brutal attack was thwarted by the arrival of Amelia!

Despite being surrounded by so many Dark Elves, she miraculously emerged unscathed. It was like falling into a crocodile pit with a parachute and miraculously escaping unharmed!

However, more shocking to Ifia than her own stroke of luck was Amelia’s combat prowess. She managed to slay two Dark Elves with a single sword stroke.

Although Ifia had only recently discovered that this world was anything but ordinary, encountering several types of unique creatures in quick succession, it became evident to her that humans were likely the weakest link.

They couldn’t match up in a fight, not at all!

Despite her earlier hopes of Amelia descending from the sky and displaying extraordinary power, that was merely a hypothetical wish. Ifia knew deep down that, in reality, Amelia might not be able to win. After all, no matter how formidable Amelia was, she was still human.

However, the recent turn of events dealt Ifia a surprise blow. Not only could Amelia win, but she could effortlessly take the lives of the Dark Elves!

This…

This is just too cool!!!

(>_<)

Without delving into deeper thoughts, Ifia gazed at Amelia with pure admiration. She observed the silver high ponytail Amelia had tied for the day’s convenience, swaying beautifully with each sword swing.

Amelia’s purple eyes radiated anger, shimmering under the sunlight, making it impossible to resist falling under their captivating spell. This was the fiery rage burning for Ifia!

Hehehe.

As Ifia lifted her hands to support her cheeks, unable to contain her adoration, Amelia’s actions were ruthless. She swiftly dealt with the remaining three Dark Elves. However, the Dark Elves displayed tenacious vitality. Even though their bodies were split in two, they didn’t completely perish.

The expression on the Dark Elves’ faces was ferocious, and their tiny red eyes, the size of soybeans, were full of malice. With skinny and withered fingers, they pointed at Amelia, screaming frantically, “Evil… Great Lord… Man, you… for… humans… kill…”

Amelia simply chuckled, showing no interest in engaging with such feeble beings.

Opening the invisible Hell Domain, within the dense black magical energy, countless lost souls emitted silent and agonizing screams, ceaselessly tearing at the Dark Elves’ spirits. In just an instant, the Dark Elves completely lost their vitality, turning into lifeless bodies.

Amelia raised her sword and immediately flicked off the tainted blood. She swiftly sheathed the sword, restoring its snowy-white sharpness, before briskly walking towards Ifia. With a lift of her hand, she embraced Ifia, gently patting her back in a soothing manner.

“Sorry, Ifia, I arrived late.”

Ifia in her arms was petite and fragile, like a delicate item that might break at a touch. Amelia felt a bit remorseful, concerned that Ifia might be frightened due to the Dark Elves.

If they were still in their original world, Amelia’s abilities would be even more potent, allowing her to better protect Ifia. However, in this world, she was weakened and subject to various limitations.

Indeed, this world should be destroyed!

Yet, Ifia, whom Amelia worried about, seemed to have no connection with the term “startled.” Instead, she felt delighted, considering her Amelia to be incredibly powerful.

Unrivaled!

Just returning from the daydream of being the damsel in distress saved by a hero, Ifia discreetly composed herself. She controlled the corners of her mouth, which were on the verge of breaking into a wide smile, making an effort to regain her usual demeanor.

Not wanting Amelia to continue worrying, Ifia replied directly, “Amelia, I’m fine. Those monsters didn’t harm me at all. But why did you rush back suddenly?”

“Taric Palace ignited a special signal fire. Officials accompanying us saw the green smoke and immediately exclaimed that the palace was in trouble.”

In reality, even before they saw the smoke, Amelia and her group had already arrived in the Dark Forest.

Compared to humans with dull sensing abilities, Amelia keenly detected demonic auras conveying certain information. Intercepting a few messages, she immediately heard that Dark Elves were massacring in the palace.

This made Amelia’s expression turn grim, recalling the scene where Ifia waved to her with a sweet smile before their parting.

Ifia was still in the palace!

So, without informing the others, Amelia swiftly used magic to teleport back.

Subsequently, she activated the radiant blessing of Saint Tiffany, creating a white halo.

Luckily, Ifia was unharmed. It seemed that in the future, the arrogant demon would have to continue serving as a bodyguard to ensure Ifia’s safety.

“I see. Amelia, Taric Kingdom is indeed very dangerous!” Even though Amelia didn’t elaborate further, Ifia understood. Amelia had rushed back quickly, undoubtedly concerned about her safety.

This made Ifia playfully raise her hand, tightly wrapping it around Amelia’s waist. If she had known it would be this dangerous, she wouldn’t have come!

On this journey, they had already encountered several life-threatening situations. “We’ll be able to return in a few more days. This incident at the palace, I will hold Taric Kingdom accountable, and they will provide the appropriate compensation.”

“Compensation?”

“Probably in the form of gold.”

“Amelia, you know, Taric Kingdom is truly a dangerous yet beautiful place!” Upon hearing the word “gold,” Ifia immediately turned into a small enthusiast for wealth, swiftly changing her words. She then sincerely exclaimed, appearing cheerful, leaving Amelia somewhat helpless.

Amused, Amelia gently patted the naive head of Ifia. It was just gold, the wealth accumulated by the Barlen family was enough to rival a nation.

Initially, she had allowed Ifia to use it freely, but the little one hadn’t shown such excitement back then, rather sincerely refusing.

Now, witnessing Ifia’s joy, Amelia promptly increased the compensation amount prepared for pursuing accountability by several times. If the Taric Royal Family refused, she was ready to use her abilities to manipulate them like puppets.

While Amelia was silently contemplating these thoughts, Ifia seemed to suddenly recall something important. She didn’t linger in Amelia’s embrace and instead solemnly stood up, gazing directly at Amelia.

Soon, her cute face turned pouty, and her black eyes were filled with fiery indignation.

She directly started complaining, “Amelia, on my way back, I encountered a strange woman who doesn’t seem like a normal human at all. She had sharp teeth and red eyes, almost sucked the life out of me!”

As Ifia spoke, her face conveyed a clear message, ‘Help me seek revenge.’

Hmph!

Revenge is a dish best served cold.
