Extra Chapter 10: Thank You for Being by My Side
After filling their stomachs and getting ready, it was time to have fun!
Ifia had long wished for all her family to go on an outing together, and finally, that wish was fulfilled today.
Amelia planned to take them all to Glorious Mountain. It was a mountain located in the northern part of the Elf Forest.
Initially, Amelia wanted to take them flying with Azhdaha, the three-headed dragon who had joined Amelia after the seal of the previous world was released. But Ifia immediately refused.
The most beautiful part of an outing is enjoying the journey’s atmosphere, not quickly reaching the destination.
Ifia was the person who always holds the final say in the family. Amelia had no choice but to comply with Ifia’s wishes, so the five of them set off using a horse-drawn carriage with Amelia personally driving it. Eventually, they reached their first stop, the Elf Forest.
This was Ifia’s second time visiting an Elf Forest, the first being the Elf Forest in the Taric Kingdom of the previous world.
The Elf Forest here was different from the previous one. Here, the leaves from a distance appeared like they were changing colors of the rainbow, but when seen up close, they looked like ordinary green leaves. Ifia looked at this and immediately glanced at Amelia as if asking for an explanation.
Understanding Ifia’s expression, Amelia simply explained, “In the middle of this Elf Forest, there is a tree called the World Tree. Just think of it as a tree that continuously emits magic. It gives its energy to all the trees in the Elf Forest.”
“Since we are here, we will buy some unique elf products. Gabriel will definitely like them,” continued Amelia.
“Huh?”
Gabriel suddenly reacted because her name was mentioned out of the blue.
“Are you looking forward to it, little Gabriel?” asked Amelia.
“Who’s looking forward to it!”
Although Gabriel said that, everyone could see that she was actually curious.
It didn’t take long for them to visit a special shop that sold various unique elf products located in the middle of the forest.
“Welcome.”
Upon arriving at the shop, an elf attendant greeted them. This was Ifia’s second time seeing elves besides the ones in the Taric Kingdom. The elves here were very beautiful, just like the descriptions in fantasy novels.
Due to Ifia’s high curiosity, she unintentionally kept staring at the elf attendant. She didn’t realize she had been staring for quite a while until her eyes were covered by a hand. Recognizing the familiar sweet scent, Ifia wasn’t worried.
She asked softly and curiously, “Amelia, what’s wrong?”
As she spoke, Ifia lifted her hand to reach Amelia’s arm, trying to pull away the hand blocking her sight. Unfortunately, her efforts were in vain. Amelia remained unmoved like a statue.
Soon, Amelia leaned in and whispered in Ifia’s ear, “Ifia, I don’t like it when you look at other people that long. It makes me jealous.”
This remark left Ifia speechless.
“Amelia, I was just curious. This is the first time I’ve seen elves in your world. Besides, no one is more beautiful than you.”
Why does her partner get jealous easily?
But she’s very cute.
Hehehe.
?(?? ? ? )??
Ifia then stopped looking at the elf and instead sat with her three children. Meanwhile, Amelia seemed to be buying something from the shop. After she finished, Amelia came over to them.
“This is for you, Gabriel. I know you like flowers,” said Amelia to Gabriel.
“This flower is called a Windwheel Flower. It looks like a pinwheel, and when the wind blows, the flower spins. As for the seeds, I’ve already bought them, and they will be delivered to the palace later.”
“Well… I’ll accept it since you’ve already bought it. Don’t get the wrong idea. Hmph.”
“Thank you,” said Gabriel in a very soft voice, with a small smile appearing on her face.
If it were someone else, they might not have heard Gabriel’s words. But Amelia, being the Demon God, couldn’t possibly miss them.
Hearing this, Amelia smiled foolishly, losing her usual composure. She felt that her relationship with her daughter had taken a step closer. It seemed it wouldn’t be long before she could pamper her like she pampered Ifia.
On the other hand, Ifia looked at her daughter in wonder, puzzled by why her child was so tsundere and where she inherited this trait. If Amelia could hear Ifia’s thoughts at that moment, she would immediately say that Gabriel inherited it from her. Gabriel was even more tsundere than Ifia.
To Ifia, her daughter Gabriel was very unique. She never expected she would give birth to an angel. When she asked Amelia about it, Amelia said it was because of her soul. What did that mean? What was special about her soul? To this day, Ifia still didn’t understand.
The process of Gabriel’s birth was not like ordinary childbirth. A cluster of light emerged from Ifia’s abdomen, then the lights solidified, and finally, Gabriel was born. All this time, Gabriel had been in her womb in the form of light. No wonder Ifia’s stomach was flat like a normal person.
On the other hand, Cheryl and Daryl didn’t want to be outdone by their demon mother. They also planned to buy something and give it to their little sister. But when they arrived at the shop, the shop attendant’s words made them even more upset with their demon mother.
“Sorry, everything here has just been bought by the Great Sovereign.”
“……”
?Cheryl: Daryl, demon mother is so cunning, she must have planned this beforehand.?
?Daryl: I agree, but this journey is still long, we have many more chances to get back at her.?
After that, Ifia and her small family continued their journey to the summit in their horse-drawn carriage. What puzzled Ifia was that she initially thought they would walk to the summit, but they were using horses to climb the mountain.
What kind of horses are these, how are they so strong?!
All the creatures in Amelia’s world never ceased to amaze her.
Once they reached the summit, Ifia immediately laid out a cloth for their picnic lunch. The food had been prepared by Ifia beforehand. Their purpose in visiting Glorious Mountain was to see the aurora.
Ifia had never seen an aurora before.
In her previous life, she had only seen pictures of them on the internet. She was eagerly anticipating this moment, but Amelia said they would have to wait at least until sunset for the aurora to start appearing. They would need to wait for about three more hours.
To pass the time, they all walked around the summit of Glorious Mountain.
This mountain was very unique. Usually, the summit of a mountain feels very cold, but on this mountain, the temperature was warm.
There were many things to see on this mountain.
There was a sea of jasmine flowers, a spring that spouted colorful water, many cute animals, and most importantly, there were unicorns.
It had been a long time since Ifia had seen a unicorn, and finally, she could see them again.
However, the unicorns only approached Ifia and Gabriel.
When Ifia asked Amelia about this, she said that they came to her and Gabriel because their souls were pure. So this was similar to when the unicorns on Holy Mountain in the Sith Empire approached her.
Time passed quickly, and soon the sun was about to set, and the anticipated aurora would appear shortly.
“Sister, Daryl and I want to show you something.”
Suddenly, Cheryl invited Gabriel to go somewhere.
“Me?”
“Yes, trust us, you’ll like it,” said Daryl.
“Gabriel, just trust them. If they’re lying, I’ll punish them,” Ifia assured Gabriel with a smile.
“Yes, sister, trust us. We won’t do anything weird,” said Cheryl.
“Alright.”
Then Gabriel, Cheryl, and Daryl went off to somewhere. Ifia watched her children from a distance, unable to hide the various emotions in her eyes.
She previously never imagined that she would experience having a life partner, raising children, playing with them, delighting in their laughter, and witnessing their growth.
“Ifia, what’s on your mind?”
Amelia’s affectionate and tender voice came from behind Ifia. Upon hearing this, Ifia immediately turned to face Amelia.
“I was just thinking about beautiful things.” Ifia replied softly.
“Beautiful things?”
“Do you want to know, Amelia?”
Ifia suddenly placed her hand on Amelia’s neck, then brought her head closer and kissed her.
There was no need for words, the kiss explained everything.
“Amelia, I love you. Thank you for being by my side.”
“Ifia, I love you too.”
Not long after, Gabriel came and invited Ifia and Amelia to see the aurora.
“Mom, look, the aurora has started to appear. Cheryl, Daryl, and I have found the best spot to see it. Let’s go watch it together.”
“Alright, we’ll be right there, sweetheart.”
“Let’s go together, Amelia.”
As Ifia was about to leave, Amelia suddenly grabbed her hand, making Ifia stop and look back at Amelia. Then Amelia pulled Ifia back into her embrace.
“That kiss, I still want it.” Amelia said softly.
“!!!”
With a soft smile playing on her lips, Amelia reached out and gently tilted Ifia’s chin upward. The air crackled with unspoken emotions between them.
Then, as if drawn by an invisible force, Amelia leaned closer. A gentle breath, warm like a summer wind, danced between their faces. Finally, their lips met in a kiss that was both tender and filled with passion.
They lingered in the moment, savoring each other’s flavors until their desires were fully satisfied.
After what seemed like an eternity, both of them were finally satisfied. They both reluctantly parted their lips, with a sweet taste still lingering in their mouths.
In the aftermath of their intimate exchange, they remained close and could still feel the warmth of each other’s breath, binding them in an unbreakable bond of love.
“Thank you for being by my side too, Ifia.”
“Mmm, I’m so happy today, Amelia.”
“I’m happy too, there’s so much more I want to experience with you, Ifia.”
“Of course. I’ll always look forward to that.”
“Come on, Amelia, let’s not keep our children waiting.”
As they walked hand in hand, their fingers entwined like their souls, they understood that with each step together, their love grew deeper and more steadfast. Just being together, they knew they could face anything.
Anyone could see their unbreakable bond radiated with an aura of eternal devotion, illuminating their path with the promise of a love that would conquer all challenges.
