AIWON Mall Isekai Store, Grand Opening Today! - Chapter 127
RL realy taced me off,
Episode 10-29
“Alright, I’m off to the port town for a bit!”
“Yes, please take care.”
“…Lots!”
“Got it, young miss!”
With one of his front claws, the iguana tipped his small hat before taking off.
It wasn’t the iguana himself, Quano-san of the dragonkin, who was flying.
The creature that spread its wings and took off was a wyvern, with faint red and blue streaks on its body. Quano-san was riding on the wyvern’s back.
“It looked big on the ground, but from the sky, the wyvern looks pretty slim. No wonder I can’t ride it.”
“…Do you want to ride?”
“Nah, it’s still daytime, so let’s not. If we’re seen, it’ll cause a commotion.”
Whether she was feeling competitive or thought I was interested in wyvern flight, Barbera started fidgeting as if she was about to transform into dragon mode. I quickly stopped her.
“I mean, heading to the port town in broad daylight… So wyverns really don’t cause a fuss even if they’re seen, huh.”
I muttered while watching the wyvern grow smaller and smaller.
It’s been 27 days since I became the manager of the Aion Mall Otherworldly Store.
The transportation of seafood from the port town to the Aion Mall Otherworldly Store is now handled by renting a wyvern. The rental fee? Just some dishes offered to Barbera’s parents. Cheap.
Quano-san the iguana had already left to procure seafood from the port town.
It seems he’s in charge of arranging the seafood and its transport as the boss of the port town. I’ll be purchasing it for the Aion Mall Otherworldly Store.
With this, we’ve secured fresh seafood, following the arrangement for farm-fresh vegetables. Though, I’m still a bit worried about the visibility of a wyvern during daytime transportation.
“Well, if it weren’t okay, Quano-san wouldn’t be able to return from the port town… It’s fine, it’s fine. He even moved by wyvern between Aion Mall Otherworldly Store, the nearby town, and the port town last time, so it should be fine, really.”
I reassured myself.
The other day when we encountered him at the port town, he had landed the wyvern on a nearby reef and ran across the water. Seems it’s still impossible to land a wyvern directly in town. Of course, there’s a city wall to keep monsters from invading.
“Alright. Barbera, let’s take a break until evening.”
“…Is that alright?”
“Oho, you’re surprisingly considerate for a human!”
“Hehe, let’s spend some time together as a family, Barbera-chan.”
There wasn’t much Barbera could do here on Twin Dragon Island, which is far from both human settlements and Aion Mall Otherworldly Store.
I’m the manager, so I have a lot on my mind. I planned to do some thinking with the notepad and pen I had stashed in my Item Pouch.
“Don’t mind me, go ahead and enjoy some time together as a family.”
“Time together? Does that mean I, the Water Dragon Empress, should not join?”
“No, that’s not what I meant. What’s up with this translation ring? That’s not what I meant, please relax, all three of you.”
I took a step back as Barbera’s mom glared at me. As expected from someone who tames the legendary Crimson Dragon king, her presence was overwhelming.
“Barbera, since it’s a rare occasion, how about admiring the sparkling treasures in my cave?”
“…I want to swim!”
“Hehe, darling, Barbera-chan says she wants to play in the water. If you prefer, you could spend time alone in your scorching cave, you know?”
“Wha—no! I shall swim as well! Alright, Barbera, let’s see who can catch the bigger fish!”
Barbera pulled her parents by the hands and led them to the water’s edge.
I watched the heartwarming scene, and then Barbera started fidgeting and suddenly took off her dress.
“You’re taking it off to swim? Don’t tell me…”
“Here I go!”
“Oh my, I’ll have to teach her how to transform while keeping her clothes on. Quooooon!“
“Bah, once little Barbera grows up, she’ll learn naturally. Gwoooooon!“
“Yep, she’s transforming into a dragon, just as I thought! Wow, the three of them together are quite the sight! Twin Dragon Island? More like Triple Dragon Island now!”
A crimson dragon, a deep blue dragon, and a smaller red dragon dashed through the bay. They splashed water around and dove into the sea.
“Oh, so there’s a gap? A hole? Connecting to the open sea beneath the cliff over there. Interesting.”
I muttered to myself, but no one answered.
Well, we do have a talking iguana here, though.
……..
…
“Was I asleep…? I guess I must be more tired than I thought.”
I found myself in a clearing in the forest, a favorite spot of Barbera’s. Apparently, I had dozed off while thinking about the future of the Aion Mall Otherworldly Store. It must have been because of the lack of sleep from all the late-night flights recently.
“Maybe after the next ‘Dragon Sale,’ I should take turns taking a break.”
I stood up, leaving the tree stump I’d been leaning against. As I stretched, I heard my body crack and pop.
“Ah, you’re up, Manager.”
“Oh, Quano-san. Did I keep you waiting?”
“Nah, I just got back. Loaded this guy up with a bunch of seafood.”
“Thank you. Hmm, after talking to Anna-san, I’m thinking maybe I should lend you a high-capacity Item Pouch in the future, Quano-san.”
“Well, if that’s the case, I’ll have to tell the port folk to step up their fishing game. But hey, Manager, are you really okay trusting me this much?”
“I trust you, Quano-san. I don’t see you running off with it.”
“Ha! Damn right. After what the young miss did for me, I’d sooner die and rot in the sun than betray her—or my whole clan, for that matter.”
“I don’t understand the dragonkin view of life and death… You guys are scary.”
“Ah, look there, Manager. The young miss and her parents are back.”
As I tried to wrap my head around the dragonkin’s strange values, I heard sounds from beyond the forest—the thud of a landing and the sound of trees breaking.
“It’s not even evening yet. They could’ve stayed out a bit longer… Wait, what?”
I wasn’t supposed to fly on Barbera’s back until after the sun had set. While it was possible, it would cause a commotion. I figured they’d enjoy more family time, but—
I froze.
Barbera, leading the group, had returned in her usual human form, looking about ten years old. Even though she’d left in her dragon form, she had transformed back, and she was even wearing clothes. Good job, Anna-san, for teaching her that.
However, Barbera’s father and mother were still in their dragon forms. Even though this was their island home, they were crashing through the forest, knocking over trees without a care.
But more importantly…
“How’s this! Have you ever seen such a massive sea serpent? Catching prey of this size is child’s play for me!”
“It’s not the size, darling, it’s the taste that matters. Look, Naoya, I brought you a delicious-looking narwhal.”
Both dragons had giant aquatic monsters clamped in their jaws.
“How are they even talking like that? Fantasy species are something else… Oh, I get it now—they didn’t transform back because it’d be harder to carry the prey. Makes sense, makes sense.”
I muttered to myself, trying to avoid facing reality.
Barbera ran over, stopping in front of me and looking up. Her tail swayed, and the flame at the tip burned brightly.
“…Naoya, I want you to cook this.”
“Yeah, I figured.”
“I worked hard to catch it! Make sure to prepare something delicious, human!”
“Oh dear, that sea serpent might not be the best for cooking. Naoya, how about you prepare this one instead? It’s Barbera-chan’s favorite.”
The two dragons casually tossed their prey—giant sea monsters—onto the clearing. Both were massive.
“Do I even have enough seasoning for this? Will I even be able to go home today?”
“Don’t worry about it, Manager! Me and the whole clan are ready to help out!”
“…I’ll help too!”
It’s now the 27th day since I became the manager of the Aion Mall Otherworldly Store.
Even though I was supposed to be wrapping up the day, one last challenge appeared. Thank you, Barbera, for offering to help. I’ll leave the heavy lifting to you.
Quano-san’s help is appreciated, but I wonder if an iguana can really do much. And by help, I don’t mean using those legs, right?
…Well, let’s give it our best today. 27 consecutive workdays—typical for Ion employees. We’ll get through this.

Report Notes:
Once again, I didn’t get home until late tonight.
However, it paid off as we’ve secured both the procurement and delivery routes for seafood.
Starting tomorrow, we will be able to provide a stable supply of fresh fish.
We will begin with a test sale, and if it goes well, we plan to officially launch the seafood section at the upcoming Dragon Sale, which is in three days.
I’ve adjusted the order for supplies accordingly, so please ensure everything is ready on time.
Let’s hope both the order and the shipment arrive without delay!
