Chapter 70

Edited by CutieBinkie

“That’s right…”

“I also like dramas, and I watch them more abroad.”

“Actually, I look at it as an exercise.”

“Exercise?”

Ruan Yan told Zhong Zhanjing about her plan to act in a drama. Zhong Zhanjing was surprised after hearing this: “Ruan Yan, you are too good, so you used to be a drama actor.”

“En, but it’s not from a professional class.”

“But how do you act like this now?”

Ruan Yan said that her eyes are slowly regaining their eyesight.

Zhong Zhanjing: “But it’s a little difficult for you, right?”

“It might be a bit uncomfortable at first, but it’s just fine to adapt. I am happy now. As you said before, if you find something you love, every day will not be so boring.”

“What about Meng Yan, he also supports you?”

“He… really doesn’t support it.”

“It seems that I guessed right, and he shouldn’t support it either.”

“Ok?”

Zhong Zhan quietly let out her voice, “On the one hand, he’s worried about your safety, you are also working hard, on the other hand… I shouldn’t talk to you about it either.”

Ruan Yan wondered, “What’s the other side?”

Zhong Zhanjing said, “I think this seems a bit inappropriate for me.”

“It’s okay, you say it.”

“Your current identity is the wife of the President of Fan Moni, and your words and deeds outside also represent the Zhou family. Some eyes will be staring at you…”

Ruan Yan quickly understood what Zhong Zhanjing meant.

If she becomes even hotter in the future, if something goes wrong, she will lose the face of Zhou Mengyan. Zhou Mengyan also said before that her reputation outside is related to his reputation.

Ruan Yan felt bitter in her heart.

The reason for his disagreement should be part of the fear that he would be embarrassed outside.

Seeing Ruan Yan’s expression, an emotion quickly flashed under Zhong Zhanjing’s eyes, and she quickly calmed Ruan Yan down, “Actually, this is just my guess. Don’t take it seriously.”

“… En, it’s okay.”

“Since you want to act, do it well, I support you.”

“Alright.”

Ruan Yan didn’t mention Zhong Zhanjing’s words to anyone, but a fighting spirit surged in her heart. She wanted to prove herself in front of Zhou Mengyan that she could really act in a drama.

She was eagerly looking forward to Ni Zhuang’s news at home, and she didn’t know if there was any chance. After three days, Ni Zhuang called her and said that there was a role with a limited number of roles that suits her.

It was the drama troupe where a graduated student of Ni Zhuang belonged to. The drama troupe wrote by himself. This troupe had a certain reputation in Lincheng and mainly produced original scripts.  Recently they just planned to arrange a script, Ni Zhuang helped Ruan Yan ask, there was a small supporting role that was suitable for Ruan Yan.

Ruan Yan agreed immediately, and was recommended to join their WeChat group.

The group first welcomed her, and then the director informed that all crew members would gather for a meeting tomorrow morning to discuss the script and specific arrangements.

After everyone received the reply, the deputy director Cui Zimo sent a message to the director:

[The person who just joined the group, is the blind girl recommended by Teacher Ni?  ?

Bu Jia replied: [En.  ?

Cui Zimo frowned: [Calling a blind girl to act, is not professional yet, is our troupe a grocery store, just stuff people in? ?

Bu Jia: [Miss Ni likes her very much. She performed a few dramas in our school before her eyes were blinded. She was quite famous, but she just has a small role anyway, so it didn’t matter.  ?

Cui Zimo thought to himself, this person is fine if she doesn’t cause trouble.

Ruan Yan woke up very early because of excitement the next morning.

After washing and putting on makeup, she put on a lavender sweater with a short woolen skirt underneath, which looked very energetic.

After breakfast, she and Zhou Mengyan went to the hallway to change shoes almost at the same time.

The man turned his head and looked at Ruan Yan. The girl’s cheeks above the scarf were white and translucent, and her red lips were lightly drawn up, “Going to the crew?”

“Yeah.” She nodded happily, “I will have a meeting today.”

The man didn’t say anything, he first walked out of the hallway, out of the courtyard, and he saw Ye Qing who was waiting.

“Zhou Zong.”

He said quietly: “Report the situation every day.”

“Ok.”

When Ruan Yan took Coco out of the house, Zhou Mengyan had already left in the car. Ruan Yan got into the car and let out a sigh of relief. Then he smiled at Ye Qing and said, “Sister Ye Qing, thank you for your hard work.”

“You are too polite, madam, Mr Zhou said that I am now officially your personal assistant. I will accompany you to everything concerning the drama.”

“Alright.”

An hour later, the car drove downstairs to the building where the “Bright Moon” troupe was located.

Because Teacher Ni had told her, Bu Jia just called her and they would send someone to pick her up. Ruan Yan walked into the building, and a girl with a ball head came up, “Are you Ruan Yan?”

“Yes I am.”

“Hello, I am the director’s assistant, come with me.”

Ruan Yan followed her, and the assistant looked at the guide dog she was holding, and the people who accompanied her, and simply cared about the condition of her eyes, but did not say anything else.

She rode the elevator to the second floor, which was the usual meeting room and rehearsal hall. The meeting room was still being prepared, so Ruan Yan went to the rehearsal hall to wait.

She walked in, and there were several people standing in front of the stage inside, talking. As Ye Qing described, she was in front of a theater of the same scale as usual, but only a few rows of auditoriums.

Ruan Yan’s vagueness can also see the outline.

She walked forward slowly along the side of the auditorium. She was paying attention to Coco that was sniffing everywhere. A girl approached in front of her, looking down at her mobile phone, her steps suddenly accelerated, and she hit Ruan Yan’s shoulder in her hand.  The coffee spilled out.

Ruan Yan thought that she was not looking at the road, and quickly apologized: “I’m sorry…”

Cui Zimo walked into the rehearsal hall and just passed them. Hearing Ruan Yan apologizing and coffee spilled on the ground, he glanced at them and said, “Hurry up and dispose of the coffee on the ground.”

The girl nodded: “Good Brother Cui…”

Cui Zimo walked forward, and the boy following him said, “Hey, that seems to be the girl recommended by Teacher Ni?”

Upon hearing this, Cui Zimo frowned, and muttered in a low voice: “Sure enough, she’s here to cause trouble.”

After the boy left, the girl holding the coffee said to Ruan Yan: “I should apologize. I didn’t look at the road just now. Are you okay? Did the coffee spill?”

“No.”

The girl looked down at Coco, “You come to rehearse and bring a dog?”

“It’s my guide dog.”

The girl suddenly said, “Oh, I remember you, you are… Ruan Yan who joined the group last night, right?”

“Correct.”

The girl introduced herself as Hang Fu, and she was also one of the actors, “The brother Cui just now is our deputy director.” She lowered her voice, “Speaking to you in advance, he’s very strict and super fierce.”

Ruan Yan nodded, she just heard her tone.

The two chatted for a while. Someone came to inform everyone that they were going to the meeting room. Ruan Yan was sitting in a corner because he was a small character.

As the director, Bu Jia sits in the first place, with Cui Zimo and the screenwriter on the left and the screenwriter. There are also props and styling teams, almost all of them assembled.

After the meeting, everyone took turns to introduce themselves. When Ruan Yan arrived, she stood up and said with a smile: “Hello everyone, my name is Ruan Yan. I am a student of F senior year. I used to be in Siyu Drama Club. I am very happy to participate in this performance.”

Everyone’s eyes fell on her, thinking that she was so soft and cute, someone curiously asked, “Ruan Yan, your eyes are…”

She explained it.

Everyone was also very surprised, because it was the first time someone who was blind came to play a drama, “Is it convenient for you to act like this? How do you look at the lines?”

Ruan Yan said softly, “I will memorize it in advance.”

Cui Zimo looked at her, “It’s not okay to perform on stage by memorizing the lines, because you were recommended by Teacher Ni, so you did not go through an interview, but if you are not capable enough, I will also ask you to leave.”

Although Cui Zimo was an assistant director, he was also one of the screenwriters. He attached great importance to this drama and did not want the quality of the script to be affected because of some people.
