“Sea Blue Express headquarters?” Shi Yu repeated in surprise.

No wonder she was astonished; she could guess that Xie Yuyan and his companions had other motives for staying here, but she could not guess what they actually wanted to do.

Her probing just now was based on her observation that Xie Yuyan and his companions were ‘together in appearance but distant at heart’.

“Do you want to go with me?” Xie Yuyan asked indifferently, as if inviting someone to visit a scenic spot.

Shi Yu glanced at the three people in the distance fighting the giant spider, causing the sky to collapse and the earth to crack, destroying countless buildings, “Can the two of us make it?”

She had just used sweet words to persuade someone to escape, but when it was actually time to leave, she hesitated.

“We can’t make it,” Xie Yuyan honestly replied.

Shi Yu: “…”

“But there is a place we can go.” He said and took the lead towards a building next to the mall.

Shi Yu, relying on him for escape, immediately followed.

The giant spider came from this direction, its sharp bristles cutting the streets into a mess, leaving many large holes on the ground.

Xie Yuyan walked forward without any hesitation, and when they reached behind a building, he stopped, turned around, and grabbed Shi Yu’s wrist.

The boy’s hand was cold, providing a comfortable touch on this slightly warm summer night.

But before she could enjoy this comfort any longer, Xie Yuyan suddenly started running, pulling her along. It was then that Shi Yu noticed the virtual screen in front of his right eye popping up again.

After the virtual screen appeared, Shi Yu noticed a red light scanning over her and Xie Yuyan. She was curious about the purpose of this red light when suddenly there was a loud bang not far away, and a building collapsed, forcing Shi Yu to refocus her wandering thoughts.

Xie Yuyan ran fast, but Shi Yu could feel a certain lightness in his steps.

Clearly, compared to the bodyguards fighting the monster spider, this handsome young man was completely devoid of any combat ability.

When they reached a large hole, Shi Yu was about to ask what they were doing there, Xie Yuyan said, “Down.”

After saying that, he went down first, not afraid of spiders coming out from inside.

Shi Yu instinctively looked at the virtual screen in front of his eyes again, feeling it was an amazing gadget.

Meanwhile, a middle-aged man fighting the giant spider suddenly changed his expression after taking a direct hit from the spider, crashing into a large building.

In his mecha’s heat detection radar, Xie Yuyan and Shi Yu suddenly disappeared!

Without any hesitation, the middle-aged man immediately connected to the communication and said, “Kyle, Ain, the lieutenant is missing! Hold off this monster, I need to see what happened.”

Kyle and Ain were shocked, with Kyle immediately asking, “The lieutenant was just here, how did he suddenly disappear? Was it that girl?”

The middle-aged man didn’t reply, but his mecha withdrew from the battle.

Seeing this, Kyle and Ain, knowing they wouldn’t get an answer, clenched their teeth and continued to hold off the giant spider.

Lester and two others, fighting smaller spiders, also sensed something was wrong. But with an endless stream of spiders, they couldn’t break free.

–

“What is this?” Shi Yu gasped in surprise as she looked at the wide underground passage.

Xie Yuyan glanced sideways, “The underground of Sea Blue Star is equipped with magnetic energy roads.”

All cargo transport uses these underground magnetic energy roads.

Shi “Salted Fish” Yu immediately showed a naïve expression, “Magnetic energy roads…what are those?”

As soon as she asked, she felt the young man holding her wrist tighten his grip slightly, probably annoyed by her ignorance.

Xie Yuyan didn’t explain but simply pulled her to the platform side and rented two hoverboards.

Shi Yu quickly said, “I know this, hoverboards!”

In the interstellar era, hoverboards are one of the most popular means of short-distance transportation.

Xie Yuyan glanced at her, stepped on the hoverboard, and Shi Yu followed suit, trying to get a feel for it. But she accidentally stepped on the start switch, tilted, and almost fell face-first.

Once again, the handsome young man caught her.

“You can’t use this?” Xie Yuyan frowned, looking at Shi Yu as if she was a primitive person who had run out from some corner.

Shi Yu laughed mockingly, “I’m poor, uneducated, but smart!” I can learn quickly.

She patted her chest and tried again to step on the hoverboard’s switch.

This time, she really fell flat on her face.

Xie Yuyan followed her momentum as she fell forward, stepping on the hoverboard and pulling her wrist to watch her fall.

Heartless.

Shi Yu, rubbing her sore shoulder, declared she could definitely do it again.

Xie Yuyan, however, tightened his grip on her wrist and said, “Come up.”

Shi Yu paused for a second, followed his gaze, and understanding his meaning, chuckled sheepishly, “That’s so embarrassing…”

Despite saying she was embarrassed, she honestly stood behind Xie Yuyan, completely unaware of being a burden.

It was only upon getting closer that Shi Yu noticed a faint, floral scent on Xie Yuyan, unlike any she had smelled before.

“Hold tight.”

Shi Yu absentmindedly responded, about to raise her hand when she realized Xie Yuyan was still holding her wrist.

Feeling the hoverboard start to move, Shi Yu quickly steadied herself, grasping the boy’s wrist with her other hand.

Obviously, that hand was a bit stiff.

Soon, the stiffness faded, and Shi Yu, looking forward from the side, saw Xie Yuyan accelerating on the hoverboard while operating his smart brain, his fingers moving quickly.

In no time, Shi Yu noticed the underground tunnel changing, with the machinery behind them altering after they passed a crossroad, erasing the path they came from.

After several crossroads, Shi Yu looked around in awe.

The handsome boy… could he be controlling the entire central system of the underground tunnel?

Shi Yu realized belatedly, finding the hoverboard’s speed so fast that she couldn’t see the tunnel clearly.

Yet, there was no sensation of wind blowing past her.

Shi Yu looked around with an inexperienced gaze, puzzled why there was no wind as they moved so quickly on the hoverboard, which then began to slow down.

In just a few minutes, after hearing “come up,” Shi Yu heard “get down” next.

She hurriedly complied, jumping off the hoverboard.

They arrived at an extremely spacious platform, where everything bore the logo of Sea Blue Express.

The robots responsible for delivering packages were stationary, as if frozen.

Had they easily reached the headquarters of Sea Blue Express?

Shi Yu thought dizzily, only to hear Xie Yuyan say, “Go up, but it’s not very safe up there. Take this.”

The boy handed her a few red strip-like crystals, energy bars, the power source for energy guns, somewhat similar to magazines.

Shi Yu’s eyes lit up as she took them, but she quickly realized the “not very safe” part might refer to the monsters that had suddenly invaded the planet Sea Blue.

She turned the hand holding the energy bars and grabbed the boy’s sleeve, “Just the two of us?”

Is it too late to regret now?

The handsome boy nodded.

Shi Yu blurted out, “I’m just a noob!”

“That’s not the point.”

Shi Yu: “…”

Xie Yuyan seemed unconcerned with her thoughts, walking past her towards the elevator.
