I Was Reincarnated As The Older Brother Of A Villainess Destined to Die, So I Want To Change The Future By Raising My Younger Sister With My Own Hands. I Am The Strongest In The World, But My Little Sister Must Be The Cutest In The World - Volume 5 Chapter 2.1

The night had descended upon the royal capital – or rather, the meticulously replicated alternate world of “Baure de Tesoro.” Two figures were swiftly moving through the city.
At first glance, both of them appeared to be ordinary human males. However, when viewed from my elevated perspective, they looked entirely different. It had long been exposed that they were elves who had undergone elaborate disguises.
Just a moment ago, all the elves infiltrated within the royal capital had been transported to the “Baure de Tesoro” alternate world. Thanks to this, there was no longer any worry about them contacting the outside or escaping through unexpected means.
Considering the main objective, the mission was already accomplished at this point. The only thing left was to extract information.
But I had a secondary objective. It was to experience the tactics of the spirit mage.
You might question whether such a thing was necessary at this point, but firsthand experience was crucial in everything.
Knowing what kind of tactics a spirit mage would employ could lead to devising strategies for future encounters. By incorporating those strategies into training, others could gain pseudo-experience. In other words, it could enhance the safety of Karlon and the others.
I used “Appraisal” to identify the spirit mages and promptly dealt with them. By now, my subordinates would be conducting interrogations in a separate isolated space.
The two individuals who were spirit mages seemed to be extremely agitated. Perhaps it was because they were trained intelligence agents; their expressions didn’t reveal much, but it was clear they were puzzled at first sight.
It was understandable. From their perspective, all the people in the town had suddenly disappeared. Furthermore, their allies had gone silent, and communication with the outside world had been cut off. It was clear to them that they were under some kind of attack.
Moreover, they had their last resort… sealed.
The self-destruct spell embedded in their hearts was apparently the intelligence agents’ ace in the hole. Like other intelligence agents, their basic tactic was to self-destruct if captured by the enemy.
Well, from my perspective, dismantling the spell was a trivial matter.
“Fools,” I muttered.
The two running through the town weren’t just wandering aimlessly. In addition to getting a grasp of the surrounding geography, they were placing magical traps imbued with their mana all around, almost like marking their territory.
The details were unclear, but it was undoubtedly an elaborate magical setup. Just to be safe, I decided to take a closer look at the spell. Hmm, it seemed to have a two-stage structure.
They must have assumed they were ensnared by a barrier-type magic. At the first stage, they activated a wide-area magic-dispelling Dispel. If that wasn’t effective, they seemed prepared to use the second stage’s massive explosion to blow away the entire area.
I increased the strength of “Baure de Tesoro” a bit more, just in case. This world wouldn’t break unless it faced something as extreme as a simulated battle with my master Akatsuki, but it never hurt to be prepared.
After monitoring for a while, the elves’ behavior suddenly changed. Instead of continuing to run around the town, they began heading towards the outskirts of the city. They were likely trying to distance themselves from the explosion’s range. It would be counterproductive to be caught in it.
If their preparations were complete on the other side, there was no need to wait and watch. It was finally time for me to take action.
The gate leading out of the royal capital opened onto a spacious square, making it a suitable space for combat. As they approached that square, I descended onto it.
“??Hmph.??
