I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship, so I Became a Space Mercenary - Chapter 430.2
It was necessary to follow a proper routine everyday even if one was mercenary. At least that was what I thought.
My routine goes like this. First, I take a shower when I wake up in the morning. This was often done with someone I spent the night with last night. It was a fun time.
Then I have breakfast and head to the training room to work out. This was also often done with someone else, but sometimes alone. After that, I took a shower again to wash off my sweat, and then checked around the ship. This was partly to check for anything out of the ordinary, but also to keep my legs and back from weakening as I walked around the spacious interior of the Black Lotus. That was part of the training, I suppose.
It was also important for me to greet the crew members I met and to communicate with them moderately. I also paid attention to whether they looked pale or had a gloomy expression on their face.
But, well, I’ve been thinking lately that it was probably best to rely on an expert in this regard.
“Yes, you seem to be a little sleep-deprived, but you are in good health. Did you have fun last night?”
“Yes, I did. But isn’t this what is called s?e?x?u?a?l? harassment?”
“It’s a question from a medical point of view, so it can’t be considered s?e?x?u?a?l? harassment.”
Dr. Shoko smirked at me. I highly doubt that the question was really asked from a medical point of view, but I guess it was nothing to be embarrassed about.
“If you’re saying that your fatigue is caused by the daily sharing a bed, I would have given you supplements accordingly, but looking at your blood condition and other information, it appears that there is no problem.”
“Our Robot Chief is quite excellent.”
“Really. I’m glad to see that you’re getting enough nutrition to not need those things.”
Our high-performance automatic cooker, the Tetsujin 5th, automatically determines the amount of exercise and health of the crew members and serves appropriate meals. They say it picks up information from the ship’s various sensors to make decisions, but the accuracy was extraordinary. It was convenient, so I didn’t mind.
“By the way, what the heck is Kugi doing? Or rather, what the heck are you doing to Kugi?”
I turned my gaze to see Kugi sitting there wearing some kind of strange headgear. The fox ears on top of her head were standing on end, and her three fox tails were wagging, so it wasn’t as if she were doing anything she didn’t want to do.
“Oh, My Lord. This is part of the doctor’s research. I’m cooperating with her.”
“The people of Holy Vuelzarus Empire rarely go out of the country, and even if they do, they seldom provide their genetic information to anyone. I’m asking Kugi-kun to help me because there were many interesting things about them. You know, it was said that psionic abilities would be difficult to use if you did not have the innate ability to use them, right? Fortunately, on this ship, there would be myself, Mimi, Tina and Wiska, who have no psionic abilities at all, and Hiro, Kugi and Elma, who do have such abilities. We are of different races, with or without psionic abilities, but we can interbreed with each other… In other words, despite the differences, we are still very close in terms of genetic information…”
Dr. Shoko started talking very fast. I’ve heard of people who become like this when talking about their field of expertise. She continued to talk, but I couldn’t understand half of what she was saying.
“You can say no if you don’t want to do this, okay Kugi?”
“Yes, my Lord. But what the doctor is doing seems like a lot of fun.”
“That’s true… alright, all that I have left to do is to go check Mei’s place, and then I’ll be done with my rounds, and I’d like to do some training after.”
Kugi was currently being trained as Krishna’s sub-pilot, but at the same time, she was also helping Dr. Shoko in the development of my psionic abilities.
“Yes, I understand. I will see you later in my room.”
“Good to know. Okay, Dr. Shoko. Then I shall continue my rounds.”
“Oh, and visit my room as well, later, okay? See you later.”
“Alright, alright. Don’t be too patient.”
I waved to them and left the infirmary. Now, to continue with the routine.
