I woke up to find I have a child - Chapter 102
With a mysterious smile on her face, Han Feixu whispered a few words into Ye Mingxin’s ears. The tips of Ye Mingxin’s ears promptly turned red and she pursed her lips silently before finally nodding.
The smile on Han Feixu’s face deepened, “I’ll call Yin Jiahe right away.”
Yin Jiahe had returned from her hometown two days ago and was currently looking for a new agent. However, given that her last agent was the powerful President Yu, no one dared to take her on yet.
When Han Feixu called, she didn’t mention anything about Yu Tingxue. It seemed like just a casual catching up and after hanging up, Yin Jiahe couldn’t help but frown and wonder what Han Feixu was planning.
Little did she know, Han Feixu made the call to assess her mental state, in order to figure out the right medicine to prescribe before delivering the fatal blow.
Two days later, Han Feixu showed up at her door.
Upon opening the door, Han Feixu greeted her with a slight smile, then walked in uninvited. She didn’t stand on ceremony and headed straight to the sofa, before pulling out a disposable paper cup from under the coffee table. After adjusting the temperature of the boiling kettle, she grabbed a black tea bag from the top of the table and started brewing herself some tea. As she held onto the cotton string of the tea bag she looked up to see Yin Jiahe still standing by the door and raised an eyebrow, “Come, sit. Do you want me to make you a cup of tea too?”
Yin Jiahe looked at her as if she were an alien, “Han Feixu, did I allow you to come in?”
“I know you wanted me to come in,” Han Feixu replied cheerfully, “Come sit. I won’t stay long and I don’t have much time.”
Yin Jiahe crossed her arms and took a couple of steps toward her, her expression displeased, “If you’re here to persuade me to make up with Yu Tingxue, then you might as well leave.”
Han Feixu scoffed, “Persuade you to make up? Why? You and I are just ordinary friends, and I have even less of a friend’s relationship with Yu Tingxue. I only see her occasionally because of Ye Mingxin and only have to entertain her as a guest a few times at most.”
Holding her teacup, with her legs elegantly crossed, she blew on her hot tea and said leisurely, “Don’t worry, I won’t try to persuade you to do anything. I’ve never been particularly fond of Yu Tingxue. She’s just a spoiled brat, utterly clueless about anything to do with the word “caring” and always acts solely based on her impulses. Lucky for her, she’s introverted. If she were extroverted, she’d surely have offended everyone around her by now. To this day, I still can’t understand how someone like her could have friends…”
Han Feixu didn’t mince words when it came to Yu Tingxue. Yin Jiahe listened in silence but found her words harsh for some reason. She frowned and walked over, wanting to retort, but remembering her own position, she ended up saying nothing.
Han Feixu then changed the topic, “For you to have been with her for five years, it must not have been easy. I’m afraid you probably were thinking of leaving her or how to take revenge on her every day. Hah, well you’ve succeeded if that was your goal.”
Yin Jiahe’s head snapped to her, “What do you mean?”
Han Feixu put down her drink and looked at her calmly, “Don’t you know that leaving her is the cruelest form of revenge to her?”
The two looked at each other silently. In the end, it was Yin Jiahe who looked away first. She said lightly,
“No one is so important that the other can’t live without them. Even after they are gone, everyone will still live well.”
Han Feixu hesitated before saying, “Except for Yu Tingxue.”
“The rules of this world may be universal, but it doesn’t suit everyone. Take a look at Ye Mingxin. She may love me very much, but if something were to happen to me, she would still be able to live without me. Sure, she may be depressed for a long time, but eventually, she’ll force herself to cheer up. She’d collect herself in order to keep living for our daughter while keeping me in her thoughts. She’d live until the time comes and her soul departs. I would do the same in her shoes. However, Yu Tingxue is not the same as us. Ye Mingxin and I have other concerns in this world besides each other such as our children, our family, or even our career. These worries divert our energy, but Yu Tingxue only cares about you.”
Yin Jiahe looked at her without saying a word.
Han Feixu had a smile on her lips. When she spoke, her voice was beautiful and soothing, a voice one can easily get addicted to. However, the words she said were a bit scary.
“Think about it. This is Yu Tingxue we’re talking about. If we place the previous scenario onto you and her, I can guarantee you that if something were to happen to you, in just three days you’d find a joint tomb has been bought for you two.”
Yin Jiahe’s face stiffened as if she really imagined the made-up scenario Han Feixu just said. She opened her mouth, “I…”
Han Feixu nodded lightly, “Don’t worry, you are still alive and healthy now so Yu Tingxue wouldn’t do such stupid things. After all, she lives solely for you. She knows that if something were to happen to her, you would not be able to live a good life. So she will hide herself in her home, pitifully warped up in her head, unable to sleep and unable to eat. Every day she’d miss you and only think about what you’re doing.”
Yin Jiahe: “….”
Han Feixu’s previous words made her feel agitated, but now she fell silent. Wasn’t she still trying to persuade her in the end? It was just another method of doing so, perhaps reverse psychology?
Yin Jiahe remained silent for a long time before saying, “I’ve already said it, it’s useless to try and persuade me. Instead of wasting time on me, you might as well persuade Yu Tingxue to move on from her heartbreak as soon as possible.”
“And I’ve already said that I don’t like Yu Tingxue,” Han Feixu earnestly stated, “I’m telling you all this to help you. She’s heartbroken, and you’re not? As if. We can all see that you really like her. To be pushed to the point of having to leave despite such affection, one can only imagine what you’ve been through.”
“She didn’t force me to do anything,” she couldn’t help but defend Yu Tingxue, “it’s just that her personality is different from most people…”
Han Feixu looked at her, “Like a canary kept in a cage, I’m guessing you couldn’t stand this feeling the most.”
Yin Jiahe didn’t respond, and her silence was a form of agreement.
Han Feixu sighed, “Although she truly loves her canary, willing to give everything to it, even her life, it’s her obsession and domineering nature that made her forget that canaries have their own thoughts too. If she had continued down this path without repentance it would naturally lead to a dead end.”
Yin Jiahe turned her head away, and Han Feixu played with her long hair as she leaned against the sofa and propped her head with her hand, “I’ve wanted to ask you a question for a long time, but back when you two were still together, I didn’t dare to because I thought it might affect your relationship.”
Yin Jiahe turned her head back, “What question?”
“You might think your status is just a bought lover, but to me, you’re practically Yu Tingxue’s master. Whatever you want, she gives it to you and whatever you tell her to do, she does it immediately. Why didn’t you take advantage of this situation?”
Yin Jiahe looked dumbfounded.
Han Feixu continued to probe, “She might be a bit domineering in emotional matters, but in other aspects, she’s completely led around by the nose by you. You have her completely under your control. In such a situation, if you even asked her to hand over the Yu family to you and asked her to become your bought lover instead, she wouldn’t say a single ‘no’, would she?”
Yin Jiahe was still in a daze, “You mean…”
Seeing that she understood, Han Feixu stood up with a smile, “If anyone asks, I didn’t say anything. I have to go now, I have an ad shoot in the afternoon, bye~”
Han Feixu left, but Yin Jiahe didn’t move as she thoughtfully stared at the door. After a while, she slightly lowered her head and closed her eyes in frustration.
