I woke up to find I have a child - Chapter 110
“Wtf, you don’t know Ye Mingxin? How did you even get into this school? Did you hire someone to take the exam for you?”
“Of course not! I’ve been studying in England all this time and haven’t been following the entertainment industry back home much. Besides, I’m in the directing program, not acting. There’s no need for me to know every celebrity.”
“You might not need to know every celebrity, but Ye Mingxin is a must-know! If you don’t know her, you’re seriously missing out. Look at how beautiful she is!!”
“How beautiful can she be….oh my god, I think I’m in love.”
Following this conversation, a round of laughter filled Han Feixu’s ears.
She had taken some time off to attend a class, only to hear other students praising Ye Mingxin to the heavens. She sat through the rest of class expressionlessly, and by the time she arrived on set, she still wore that blank expression.
Ye Mingxin was chatting with someone when Han Feixu arrived. The smile that usually made her heart flutter now is even more blinding than usual.
Han Feixu silently moved to one side and started flipping through the script, pretending to memorize her lines.
Noticing her return, Ye Mingxin quickly wrapped up her conversation and approached Han Feixu, asking familiarly, “How was school? Were your lectures any good?”
Han Feixu lifted her eyelids to give Ye Mingxin a brief glance before looking away.
Ye Mingxin: “….”
Dugu Yuehua noticed the tension and moved toward Ye Mingxin with concern as he watched the two part, “Is there a conflict between you and Little Han?”
“No.”
“Did you offend her?”
“No.”
“So she just dislikes you for no reason?”
Ye Mingxin helplessly replied, “It’s not that either. Aren’t you supposed to be very busy right now? Why are you asking me about this?”
Dugu Yuehua’s expression turned serious, “What do you mean? You two are the main leads. If you’re not getting along, the whole crew will suffer. Whatever you did to upset her, you should apologize. After all, you’re the older one here, and she’s just come of age.”
Ye Mingxin pressed her lips together slightly, “Understood.”
Dugu Yuehua patted her on the shoulder reassuringly. Besides her excellent acting skills, Ye Mingxin had one great quality: she didn’t put on any airs. Although she may seem aloof, one shouldn’t take offense as she treated everyone like that.
Ye Mingxin had originally wanted to touch up her makeup, but the hand holding her foundation brush was motionless even after Dugu Yuehua left. From the corner of her eye, she saw Han Feixu entering her dressing room. Seizing the moment with no one paying attention to them, Ye Mingxin quietly followed.
Han Feixu was changing, and had already taken her top off. She revealed only a thin inner layer underneath, and she wasn’t wearing a bra. As she was about to pull on her costume a hand reached above her and effortlessly lifted the garment over her head.
Startled, Han Feixu spun around to find Ye Mingxin there. Her initial shock and anger quickly dissipated, replaced by a cool indifference. “I’m changing. What are you doing here?”
Holding the Republic of China era blouse in her hand, Ye Mingxin wrapped it around her hand and leaned closer, placing her hand on the wall beside Han Feixu. They were roughly the same height, so the kabedon effect was reduced by half, but the close distance between them quadrupled the intimate feeling.
Ye Mingxin stood very close to Han Feixu, their waists touching and she even had one leg entangled with Han Feixu’s, their calves touching. At such a close distance, Ye Mingxin’s breath fell directly on Han Feixu’s face as she spoke in a quiet voice. However, in this cramped and airtight space, the words came out clear and rang in her heart.
“Tell me why you’re upset, otherwise you won’t be changing clothes today.”
Han Feixu glared at her, but against Ye Mingxin, she couldn’t muster much defiance. She thought she looked menacing, but to Ye Mingxin, she only looked more enchanting. Those big, watery eyes were like a kitten’s paws, gently tickling her heart nonstop.
“Aren’t you being unreasonable?”
“I’ve never been a reasonable person.”
As she spoke, Ye Mingxin closed the slight gap between them even further. Then, suddenly, Han Feixu felt something soft against her mouth. Han Feixu opened her mouth to protest, but Ye Mingxin seized the opportunity to deepen the kiss instead. After a moment, Ye Mingxin reluctantly pulled back slightly, her eyes gleaming with amusement as she observed Han Feixu’s now-flushed lips, then leaned in again to gently lick them.
Han Feixu’s hands were on Ye Mingxin’s shoulders and she quickly pushed Ye Mingxin away when she noticed her leaning in again. After pushing twice, Ye Mingxin straightened up and then said with a straight face, “I was trying to lick the water stains off your lips so your makeup artist won’t see it.”
…This old lady isn’t going to fall for your evil lies.
Han Feixu snatched her blouse back, still looking somewhat upset, but her mood was significantly better than before. She tried to change, but Ye Mingxin’s arms were around her waist. Han Feixu’s waist was exceptionally thin, and Ye Mingxin had plenty of reach left even after wrapping both her arms fully around her waist.
She hugged Han Feixu closely to her, refusing to let her change, and pressed their bodies even more intimately together. Han Feixu couldn’t take it anymore and decided to end her one-sided cold war that didn’t even last half an hour.
“…You have too many fans.”
Ye Mingxin didn’t understand at first, and Han Feixu, with a blush spreading across her cheeks, added, “There are…too many people who like you.”
This time, Ye Mingxin finally understood.
She paused for a moment, then rested her head in the crook of Han Feixu’s neck, tightening her embrace as she let out a low chuckle, the sound entering Han Feixu’s ears.
Confused, Han Feixu pushed at her again, “What are you laughing at? Are you happy to see me upset?”
“Yes.”
Han Feixu, hearing this, raised her hands to shove Ye Mingxing again, but before she could touch her, she heard Ye Mingxin continue, “I’m extremely happy to see you upset because you want me all to yourself.”
After saying this, Ye Mingxin lifted her head slightly as she placed a kiss on Han Feixu’s ear, “Silly girl, what do they have to do with me? From the beginning to end, from the moment I was born to now, I have only liked one person. And isn’t that one person you?”
Now even Han Feixu’s ears were pink. The more Ye Mingxin looked, the more she liked what she saw, and she leaned in to capture Han Feixu’s lips once more. Han Feixu, startled by the sudden move, tried to evade, pushing Ye Mingxin away with weak protests, “D-Don’t kiss me…”
To Ye Mingxin, however, this seemed more like an invitation than a refusal.
After some time in the dressing room, Dugu Yuehua, wandering around the set, realized that both his leading actresses had vanished without a trace. Confused, he searched everywhere until his gaze settled on a familiar figure.
Han Feixu had changed into her costume and was now fussing with her hair, even though she was wearing a wig and it was already as neat as it could be.
Dugu Yuehua tilted his head, feeling a sense of déjà vu.
This scene seemed all too familiar, like something straight out of the “after messing around” scenes in TV dramas and movies…
About five minutes later, Ye Mingxin emerged from the dressing room, appearing as pure and ethereal as ever, with the same blank expression she always used. As she started to walk away, a cold voice stopped her from behind a nearby door.
“Are you sure she’s your mei-mei?”
Ye Mingxin froze, closing the door behind her only to find Dugu Yuehua appearing from the other side. He looked her up and down and remarked, “Then you are quite the sinful person.”
Ye Mingxin: “….”
T/N:
At the end there Dugu Yuehua is being sarcastic and saying that Ye Mingxin had committed incest because in the previous chapter Ye Mingxin had implied that Han Feixu was a distant relative of hers.
