I’ll Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History - Chapter 481
481
…I came back to my room.
It had been a long time since I had used transfer magic. …I feel a little drunk.
“This magic is really amazing, isn’t it?”
“It’s very hard, because if the image is broken even a little bit, you’ll be sent to a completely different place.”
“I guess magic is hard too…Duke and Alicia both do it so easily…I know you two are strange…”
He was complimenting me, right?
No, that was not it, right now I would like to know a lot more about Julie-sama than that.
…Well, but I also want to know what happened to Mel and Curtis-sama, and I was also slightly curious about Finn-sama’s love life!
Finn-sama’s love affair could be an afterthought within an afterthought….
Let’s forget about Ravaal Kingdom for now. …but still. …My head was about to explode.
“Ah~!”
I let out a gasp from my stomach with all my might.
Gilles looked at me with a startled expression at my sudden outburst, his eyes wide open.
“What do I do…, Alicia is making strange noises, did you finally break down. I knew you were working too hard, but…”
“I’m not broken!”
I turned to Gilles, who twitched at the sound of my voice and muttered, “I’m shocked”.
This world was supposed to be a simpler, more carefree, Otome game world…. I couldn’t be so carefree now that this was my reality, but I still wanted to live a more carefree life.
“…Yes, that’s right, I don’t have to think so deeply about it.”
“What’s the matter…, now you’re self-resolving?”
“What will be will be. I’ll be fine, once I stop thinking about everything!”
I said firmly, and Gilles patted me on the shoulder, “Alicia,” he said softly.
“Why don’t you worry about it a little longer?”
I never thought Gilles would encourage me to worry…
“No, a Villainess is never bothered!”
“Oh, no! There you go again!”
“I can’t get an answer if I keep wondering what I should do…”
“If you stop thinking, you’ll become useless.”
“I’m always thinking!”
“Then why do you say you don’t think deeply?”
“If you think deeply, your thoughts become complicated. You should think more shallowly and simply.”
Unusually, Gilles and I were arguing.
It usually ends with Gilles being taken aback, but this time, he is quite argumentative back.
I wonder if he thought I had become lazy after seeing him for a long time…
“It’s just someone else’s problem. …Whatever happens to Harris and Marry in the future is up to them. I don’t care if the Auges Trading Company goes under, and it’s not my place to take revenge for Julie-sama’s framing of Uncle Will and the three wise men of the Duelkis Kingdom. I was not directly harmed by her. I don’t want to destroy the mastermind behind the King’s back, though I am curious about who she is. I don’t think I can do anything to make Mel and Curtis-sama closer. …I have the same feelings as everyone else, I’m really just curious about what their love life is like. I’m not a hero of justice.”
I spoke, staring at the business card Gordon had given me.
…I was not a God. I could help you, but it was up to me to make the decisions and to act on them.
“I didn’t know what justice looked like in the world, but to me Alicia is a hero.”
Gilles said quietly.
“…That’s an honor.”
My face broke into a smile at his words.
“Confession, you can make the other person an accomplice. That’s why I’m rooting for Mel. …I mean, I’m not cheering for love, but I’m cheering for a confession.”
“…What do you mean?”
“You can engrave the fact that Mel liked him in her heart. Once you tell her that these feelings were real, she can’t pretend that they didn’t happen. Love is only possible when there is a partner. You don’t want it to end up being just for oneself, right?”
Besides, one never knows when one might die, and it may not be a sudden and debilitating illness like Uncle Will’s, but a sudden death.
No one was ever guaranteed a life tomorrow. So I think it was important to tell her while she was still thinking about it.
Gilles opened his mouth after a while.
“Alicia, who has no deviation from love, is saying something decent.”
“Hey! That’s rude!”
“I’m sure Liz Cather was the same way. She was so cool after she confessed her feelings for him, I kind of hate her, but not that much.”
“I don’t know what you mean, but I think I know what you mean.”
“Don’t contradict my contradiction with a contradiction.”
Gilles laughs lightly.
I honestly think Liz-san was awesome. She knew there was no hope for her, but she just loved one person for so long.
I bet she still had feelings for Duke-sama even now.
