I’ll Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History - Chapter 499
499
“Alicia, where are we going?”
Gilles looked at me quizzically in the carriage.
I remembered Auges Gordon’s presence during breakfast and involuntarily ran out of the house.
Chewing on the Muffin Rosetta had brought, I handed Gilles the business card he had given me the other day.
“Auges Trading Company…?”
“Yes. I’m meeting Mr. Gordon now.”
“Without an appointment?”
“I’m not going to be turned away at the door as Alicia Williams, you know?”
In times like this, I would use the power of my house to the fullest.
I have to take advantage of what I have. I couldn’t just say, “I’m not going to use my family’s name”, and be done with it. I currently needed to get information from them in the fastest way possible.
“Surely, there is no way they can drive away the Williams family. …From what you have mentioned, the mistress of the former King is definitely a bad person, right?”
“…Maybe not necessarily.”
“Eh.”
Gilles looked surprised at my words, but did not pursue the matter further.
Speculating, we made our way to Auges Trading Company.

“Alicia is such a ball of wind, isn’t she?”
Layla slowly poured the tea into her mouth and slowly placed the teacup on the desk.
Rosetta and the other attendants and butlers around her couldn’t help but admire her dignity.
“Well, that’s the good thing about Alicia.”
Henry smiled lightly.
“I don’t think she’s ever going to be a lady of composure.”
“But she’s a nice lady with some grace.”
“Oh, it seems like you have been praising Alicia a lot, Henry.”
Layla smiled at Henry and he smiled back at her as well.
“I’m sure Mother appreciates Alicia as much as I do.”
“She’s…, a rather special one.”
Arnold nodded at Layla’s somewhat meaningful words.
“…Could it be that Alicia has something to do with Auges Trading Company’s reputation?”
Suddenly, Albert interrupted.
“Yes, I think so. …I think the reason Auges Trading Company’s reputation was damaged was because of Gordon’s son’s blunder, wasn’t it? …I heard that a nobleman’s daughter was involved in it.”
Layla speaks with some amusement.
Henry huffed and thought of Alicia. Of course, the rest of his brothers and Arnold would have Alicia in their brains as well.
“I heard that she lectured him and his no-good son.”
Layla laughed and continued the story.
“I think Gordon disowned his son. I guess it was a good thing he did, since he seemed to be in a lot of trouble. I hope he learned his lesson. The world is not so forgiving.”
“…Mother is pretty scary, isn’t she? Where do you get your information from?”
Alan whispered to Henry.
“I didn’t know much about Auges Trading Company or the rumors in town.”
Alan agreed with Henry, and Layla’s mouth twitched up at the sight of them.
“Men and women have different responsibilities.”
Arnold just nodded silently at her words.
