I'm Not the Young Lady's Dream Girl - [Vol. 2] Chapter 18
[Vol. 2] Chapter 18: Miss’s Gift
Yinyue stood on the rooftop, gazing at the moon in the sky.
She extended her right hand, and the moonlight around her gathered into her hand, continuously flickering with brilliance.
“The moonlight tonight is truly beautiful,” Yinyue remarked.
This reminded her of the first time she met the young lady. The moonlight tonight was very similar to that day.
“Time flies, doesn’t it?” Yinyue mused.
Had it really been so long since she first met the young lady? It felt like it was just yesterday.
Yinyue brushed her hair aside, letting the evening breeze playfully ruffle her silver hair. She closed her eyes, thoroughly enjoying the tranquility of the moment.
But compared to being alone, she still preferred having someone by her side. As her eyes fluttered open, she spoke softly.
“Miss, since you’re here, please come out.”
Yinyue spotted Yuluo, who was secretly hiding behind the door.
“I didn’t expect Sister Yueyue to find me. I wanted to admire a bit more,” Yuluo stepped out, her expression somewhat reluctant.
“There will be plenty of opportunities in the future,” Yinyue retracted her hand, and the surrounding light elements dispersed.
“Well then, my dear Miss, please take a seat,” Yinyue gracefully pulled out a chair and invited Yuluo to sit.
“Mm,” Yuluo moved to sit on the chair, and Yinyue followed suit.
“Miss, would you like something to drink?” Yinyue asked.
“Let me think… then, could you please make me a cup of coffee, Sister Yueyue?” Yuluo thought for a moment before replying.
“Actually, I don’t recommend Miss having coffee at this hour.”
Yinyue expressed concern that her young lady might have trouble sleeping tonight if she drank too much coffee.
If Yuluo could hear Yinyue’s thought, she would probably say it’s even better not to sleep, so she could admire Sister Yueyue’s beauty more.
“In that case, I’ll just have a cup of warm water,” Yuluo saw the situation and had to order something else.
“Alright, I understand.”
Yinyue had already prepared the kettle in advance, and quickly made warm water for Yuluo.
“Here you go, Miss,” Yinyue handed the cup of warm water to Yuluo.
“Okay, thank you, Sister Yueyue,” Yuluo took the cup.
“Oh right, I also prepared some desserts for you, Miss. Please feel free to try them, but don’t indulge too much,” Yinyue said as she lifted the lid off the plate, revealing the desserts she had prepared for Yuluo.
“The taste is really good. Sister Yueyue’s craftsmanship is amazing. Whoever can marry Sister Yueyue will be very lucky.”
“Is that so…”
It’s impossible to even consider such a thing. She is just a coward who’s too afraid to confess her lies to the one she likes and chooses to run away instead.
“On another note, Miss called me to the rooftop tonight. Is there something important?” Yinyue asked, the young lady wouldn’t have called her up for no reason.
“Yes, there is something. I wanted to ask Sister Yueyue about it,” Yuluo said after wiping her mouth.
“Then, Miss, feel free to ask. As long as it’s something I know, I’ll tell you truthfully,” Yinyue said to Yuluo.
Upon hearing this, Yuluo suddenly had many embarrassing questions in her mind. Like, what color is Sister Yueyue wearing now? No, she must stay focused. This time she came to ask about serious matters, not to be frivolous.
“Miss, what’s wrong? Do you feel the wind is cold tonight?” Yinyue looked at Yuluo, who was trembling slightly, thinking her young lady might be feeling cold.
“It’s nothing,” Yuluo adjusted her mindset and quickly replied.
“That’s good,” Yinyue breathed a sigh of relief, seeing that her young lady seemed fine.
“By the way, I want to know how I met Sister Yueyue,” Yuluo voiced her question.
Yinyue stroked her chin, thoughtful. She didn’t expect her young lady to ask this question.
“Well, this is a long story,” Yinyue said to Yuluo.
“It’s okay, I’ll listen carefully,” Yuluo expressed her patience.
Yinyue looked up at the full moon and smiled faintly. Thus, the silver-haired girl began to narrate the events of that night to the black-haired girl sitting before her.
“So, that’s how I met Sister Yueyue? Like a knight saving a princess in a fairy tale,” Yuluo clasped her hands together, closed her eyes, seemingly imagining the scene in her mind.
“Yes, but I still couldn’t protect you well, and you temporarily lost your memory because of it,” Yinyue said, feeling somewhat guilty about her amnesia.
“It’s okay, I’m glad it was me who lost my memory,” Yuluo said, taking Yinyue’s hand.
“But I feel like if it were me at that time, it would have been better…”
Before Yinyue could finish, Yuluo pulled her to the center of the rooftop.
“Okay, let’s not talk about that. Sister Yueyue, can you dance with me?” Yuluo said.
Yinyue didn’t say anything, so Yuluo took it as tacit approval.
The two girls began to dance under the full moon.
After dancing, Yinyue’s mood improved a lot, though she was still puzzled about why she danced the female part.
“Actually, aside from this issue, I called Sister Yueyue here for something else,” Yuluo said again.
Something else? Yinyue didn’t expect her young lady had other things to discuss when she called her over.
“So what is it?” Yinyue asked.
Yuluo reached out and activated the spatial ability ring on her finger. A burst of blue light flashed, and Yuluo took something out from inside.
“This is…”
Yinyue blinked, repeatedly confirming if her eyes were playing tricks on her. This gift was too embarrassing, wasn’t it?
Yuluo took out a pillow from the ring, a pillow with the same height as Yinyue and even featuring lewd illustrations of Yinyue.
“S-sorry, Sister Yueyue, I grabbed the wrong thing.”
Yuluo immediately took the pillow back, feeling incredibly embarrassed. After putting away the pillow that almost embarrassed her to death, Yuluo took out something else from the ring.
“Is this a ball gown?” What Yuluo took out was a dress primarily in pure white with blue trimmings.
“This is a ball gown I hand-sewed over the past few days. I hope Sister Yueyue won’t dislike it,” Yuluo handed the dress to Yinyue.
“A dress prepared for me by Miss, how could I dislike it? I love it! I will definitely treasure it!” Yinyue accepted the dress and said with a smile.
“Can Sister Yueyue try it on for me now?” Yuluo made a small request.
“Now?”
Yinyue didn’t expect her young lady to be so eager for her to wear it right away.
“Is that not okay?”
Yuluo seemed a bit disappointed. She was looking forward to seeing how Sister Yueyue looked in the dress she made.
“Of course, I’ll go back to my room and change. Miss can wait here,” Yinyue said.
Since her young lady said so, how could she disappoint her? Besides, it was her first time wearing a ball gown.
Yinyue returned to the room with the dress, while Yuluo sat on the chair, waiting quietly. After a while, a silver-haired girl wearing a gorgeous dress appeared on the rooftop.
“I-is it… good?”
Yinyue, who was wearing a dress for the first time, felt extremely embarrassed. Why did this dress have to be backless?
Even if Miss had amnesia, did she still like to see her wear such clothes? Was this a special hobby of Miss?
“……It’s very beautiful!”
Upon seeing Yinyue in the dress, Yuluo was momentarily struck silent. Yuluo’s eyes seemed to be drawn solely to Yinyue, completely captivated by Yinyue’s enchanting presence.
Yuluo originally intended to sew a wedding dress for Yinyue, but the progress would be too fast, and she and Sister Yueyue were not ready yet. There are many problems that must be resolved first. Therefore, Yuluo chose to sew a ball gown first.
Of course, Sister Yueyue looked very cute and stunning in the dress, especially with that shy expression, which made Yuluo couldn’t help but want to tease her a bit.
