[Vol. 2] Chapter 29: Grand Reopening

With Yinya and her group’s return, the once quiet room began to buzz with excitement as the girls enjoyed the small cakes brought by Yinya.

After finishing breakfast, the girls didn’t rush to leave. Instead, they sat around together, as if having a meeting.

“Now that breakfast is over, Miss Yinya, you can tell us,” Yinyue said.

“I can see you’re eager, alright then, I’ll speak,” Yinya said, setting down her tea.

Yinya began explaining the cause and effect of the situation, and the girls listened silently. Only after Yinya finished her last sentence did they speak up.

“Is that so? No wonder you did what you did,” Yinyue said, somewhat surprised but still within reason.

Human experiments? Capturing from orphanages? A hint of murderous intent flashed in Yinyue’s eyes.

“Aww, my poor Bailian, let me hug you,” Lily hugged Bailian.

From the moment she saw Bailian, Lily felt sorry for her. She didn’t expect Bailian to be even more pitiful than she had imagined.

“When did she become yours?” Xia Qiuxue remarked from the side.

“I don’t care, from today onwards, Bailian is my little sister,” Lily said, pouting, indicating she didn’t need Qiuxue’s input.

“Miss Yinya, you should’ve said earlier. We would’ve helped you too,” Xueluo spoke up, not only to assist Yinya but also to help those orphans.

“Then I’ll thank everyone here,” Yinya appeared solemn on the surface, but inwardly, she was quite pleased to have a group of girls willing to help her.

“How do we find them then?”

Xia Qiuxue raised the question, and upon hearing it, everyone pondered for a moment. It was indeed a problem.

Yinya knew Bailian’s real name, but she decided to use the name Lily had given her.

Yinya had learned that after she left, Bailian had experienced violent episodes. To prevent triggering her memory with her original name, Yinya opted for the temporary alias.

Bailian shook her head, indicating she didn’t know. Everyone’s expressions fell slightly because if Bailian didn’t know, it would be very troublesome to locate that organization.

“What do we do now then?” Xueluo asked.

“Well, there’s actually another way, to let them come to us,” Yinyue proposed her idea.

“You mean…” Xueluo seemed to understand what Yinyue was getting at.

Yinyue nodded, indicating that was indeed the idea. It was currently the most effective method, but it also came with high risks.

“This method is feasible, but the problem is, she also need to agree. If she don’t want to, we can’t force her,” Xueluo analyzed what Yinyue wanted to say.

At this moment, Bailian raised her right hand, and everyone looked over. They saw Bailian nodding, seemingly indicating that she could do it.

“You silly little fool, do you know how dangerous this is?” Lily tapped Bailian’s head.

This child was always so clueless. Even though she knew it would be dangerous, she still chose to go. Lily found it hard to understand.

“Alright, Lily, since she’s willing to help, that’s the end of it. I’ll protect her.”

Yinya saw Lily’s concern for Bailian. Clearly, before she left, she seemed to despise her, but now she had started to care for her. It was truly an unexpected development.

“So it’s settled then. We’ll start executing the plan tomorrow. Does anyone have any objections?” Yinya asked the girls present.

“It seems not. Then everyone can rest for a while. Later, I’ll have my assistant prepare the plan,” she added.

In the abandoned area of ??the Huihuang City, a group of masked individuals suddenly arrived.

“This mask is so hot. Can’t we take it off for a while?” a girl’s voice rang out.

“Not yet. Let’s wait a little longer,” the leader of the masked group said.

“Ugh, I can’t take it anymore. Nana, can you carry me?” Wei’er said to Nana beside her.

“No, Sister Wei’er, you should walk on your own,” Nana directly refused Wei’er’s request.

“Ugh, Nana, you’re so heartless,” Wei’er said.

“Sister Wei’er, you haven’t forgotten about what happened before, have you?”

“Well…”

With that said, Wei’er recalled what happened a year ago. Although, it wasn’t our fault. It’s just that Nana was too cute, irresistible, and inviting for some teasing.

Wei’er started whistling, trying to ease the awkward atmosphere, but it seemed to make it even more awkward.

“When do we start looking for the Miss and the others?” Unable to continue the previous conversation, Wei’er changed the topic.

“We don’t need to rush. For now, we need to find a place to stay,” came a voice from ahead, and the leader was none other than Xiao Chun.

“We’re not going to stay here, are we?”

Wei’er looked around at the abandoned houses. What if there were flying cockroaches? The thought gave her shivers. She grabbed Nana’s hand tightly.

“Of course not. It’s just that so many people suddenly appearing in Huihuang City might attract unnecessary attention,” Xiao Chun didn’t want her companions to stay overnight in such a place. She had already thought of a place for them to stay overnight.

“Then where are we staying?” Wei’er asked.

“Do you remember Miss’s clothing store?” Xiao Chun said.

Wei’er only just remembered that the young lady had them open a clothing store in Huihuang City. They could use that as a base to search for the young lady and the others.

“In that case, let’s quicken our pace. I can’t wait to take a break,” Wei’er felt much better knowing they wouldn’t be staying in such a spooky place.

“Wei’er, you’ve only been walking for a short while, and you’re already tired. Looks like your stamina needs improvement,” Chixia remarked.

Beside her, Long felt a bit slighted.

“Who said I can’t handle it?” Wei’er patted her chest, indicating she was tough.

“Chixia’s right. At this rate, how can you make Nana happy?” Xiao Chun chimed in, joining the fun.

“Sisters, don’t tease me!” Nana’s face flushed red.

After a while, the three girls stood at the entrance of the clothing store.

Long took Wei’er and Nana to the store first since they were more familiar with the place. Wei’er rummaged through her bag.

“Yes, I finally found it!”

Wei’er took out the key from her bag and opened the door.

Now, Wei’er’s Clothing Store was reopening once again.
