[Vol. 2] Chapter 30: Return Once Again

On the streets of the Huihuang City, two ordinary-looking girls were holding hands, seemingly out for a stroll.

“Miss, we’re here for reconnaissance, not for leisure,” Yinyue said to the young lady playing around beside her.

“Aww, can’t we?”

Yuluo began to pout slightly, leaving Yinyue unsure of what to do.

She was torn between letting the young lady follow along or refusing her. If she let the young lady follow her, she feared there would be danger. If she did not let her young lady follow her, she feared the young lady would be upset.

Yinyue had originally intended to scout the situation and prepare for tomorrow, but unexpectedly, the young lady had tagged along, turning the serious reconnaissance mission into a date. Now, the two of them were disguised with cat masks, altering both their appearances and voices.

“Sigh… Alright, but let’s still be cautious, okay?” Yielding to Yuluo’s pouting, Yinyue relented.

After all, how could she resist the cuteness of the current young lady? If it were the young lady with her original memories, Yinyue wondered how she would choose. She admitted she didn’t have the power to refuse. If she dared, she’d likely be tossed onto the bed in no time.

“Yeah, Sister Yueyue is the best to me.” Grinning happily upon Yinyue’s agreement, Yuluo chirped.

Yinyue sighed. She realized she still couldn’t reject the young lady’s requests. Of course, for any improper requests, Yinyue would still choose to refuse.

Had they already arrived here without noticing? Yinyue glanced around, this was where she and the young lady had first strolled together in the Huihuang City.

She remembered that there was a really nice clothing store here. Since they’re already here, they might as well take a look and help the young lady pick out some nice clothes.

Yinyue called Yuluo over, and after discussing it, the two of them decided to go check out that clothing store.

After a few moments of walking, they reached their destination.

“Is this the clothing store Sister Yueyue mentioned? It looks like there’s nobody there,” Yuluo remarked, looking at the deserted storefront.

It seemed quite different from what she had imagined. It was eerily quiet, and through the glass, they couldn’t even see any staff.

Yinyue was puzzled too. This store’s clothing quality was supposed to be quite good, and although its location was a bit out of the way, it shouldn’t be this deserted, right?

Although unsure why, Yinyue decided to investigate. Yuluo followed closely behind as they entered.

“Hello, is anyone here?” Yinyue called out.

Strange, nobody’s here? Then why is the door open and the lights on? Could it be a thief? Yinyue shielded Yuluo behind her, becoming vigilant.

Suddenly, there was some noise nearby. Yinyue approached to investigate and reached a door, realizing the sound was coming from inside. She pressed her ear against the door and heard voices from within.

“Be obedient and let me see,” a girl’s voice came from inside, sounding rather sinister, as if she was about to do something illicit.

“Don’t—”

Another girl’s voice rang out, causing Yinyue to pause. From the voices earlier, it was evident that both individuals inside were girls, and they seemed to be engaged in that kind of activity.

“Hmph, the more you struggle, the more I’ll… Ouch!”

Before the girl could finish her sentence, it seemed like she was attacked by the other girl.

“You big dummy!”

Yinyue heard the sound of their heads hitting the door. At that moment, the door was forced open by the impact. Yinyue locked eyes with the girl standing inside, her face filled with question marks. What on earth was going on?

“Who are you, and why were you eavesdropping outside the door?” the shorter girl asked.

Meanwhile, the girl on the ground, holding her head, managed to get up from the floor and only then realized the situation.

“Huh!!! Who are you, and why are you here?” the shorter girl inside covered her face, showing quite a slow reaction.

“I’m here to buy clothes,” Yinyue said, feeling a bit embarrassed as she rubbed the back of her neck.

Upon hearing this, the two girls began to discuss.

“Nana, what should we do now?” This person was indeed Wei’er. As soon as they entered, she used her abilities to change her appearance and voice.

“… Let’s play it by ear. If she’s really here to buy clothes, we just need to provide service.”

Nana wasn’t sure about the true intentions of the girl in front of her, so she suggested playing it by ear, confirming her purpose before making a decision.

“I see, got it,” Wei’er was about to look up, but she was pulled back.

“Sister Wei’er, I haven’t finished speaking,” Nana continued.

“In case she has ulterior motives, we’ll cooperate with Sister Long to deal with her.”

Wei’er nodded, indicating that with her around, there wouldn’t be a problem. Nana wanted to say, as long as you don’t cause trouble, it’s a relief.

“Sorry for keeping you waiting, ladies. Is there anything you need assistance with?” After discussing with Wei’er, Nana smiled at Yinyue and asked if she needed any help.

“I don’t currently require any assistance, thank you,” Yinyue replied.

“Understood. So… about earlier…” Nana clearly wanted Yinyue to forget about what had just happened.

“What are you talking about? I don’t understand. I didn’t see anything just now,” Yinyue was very tactful, pretending to forget what had just happened.

“That’s for the best,” Nana said.

“Sister Yueyue, there you are! I knew you’d be here,” Yuluo suddenly appeared.

“Miss, didn’t I ask you to wait outside?” Yinyue said.

“I just can’t leave Sister Yueyue alone.”

“Sister Yueyue?”

Nana was very familiar with this term, after all, it was the title the young lady used to address Yinyue. However, Nana was only briefly surprised because it wasn’t uncommon for someone to use such a term. But… that girl seemed to also call her “Miss”.

This was somewhat clever, but the voices and appearances of the two girls were worlds apart from those of the young lady. Yet, Nana could still sense a faint familiarity from them. What on earth was going on? Could it be because of recent lack of sleep?

“By the way, could you help her pick out a few outfits?” Yinyue said to the two in front of her.

“Of course, no problem. Leave it to us!” Wei’er chirped up confidently, puffing out her chest as if she were very sure of herself.

“Yes, leave it to us.”

Before the dressing room, shortly after, Nana and Wei’er arrived with many gorgeous clothes. They neatly arranged the clothes for Yinyue and Yuluo to choose from.

“Thank you both very much,” Yinyue expressed her gratitude to the two.

“You’re welcome. By the way, could you tell us your names?”

After Nana got Yuluo’s measurements from Yinyue, she became even more curious about the two, because this girl’s measurements were exactly the same as the young lady’s.
