I'm Not the Young Lady's Dream Girl - [Vol. 2] Chapter 52
[Vol. 2] Chapter 52: It Might Break
The intense pain made the predator go berserk.
It hadn’t felt such pain in many years, especially due to the divine power lingering on the sword, which the predator found extremely repulsive.
The predator began to thrash its body, but Yinyue and Yeming clung tightly to the sword, making it impossible for the predator to shake them off in a short time.
“What’s with this thing going crazy all of a sudden?”
Bai Xiaotao struggled to move, noting how the once invincible predator now resembled a mad little dog.
Losing patience, the predator summoned lightning to strike its own back. Even though this would injure it, the pain from the sword was far worse.
When the rumbling stopped, the predator turned its head to check its back. The lightning had shattered some of its scales, but Yinyue, Yeming, and that annoying sword had all disappeared.
“You idiot, Sister Yueyue! Do you know how dangerous that was, taking Yeming up there with you?” Yuluo scolded, flicking Yinyue on the forehead.
“Miss, I’m sorry…”
Yinyue apologized, holding her forehead with a pair of eyes that looked pitiful and made Yuluo couldn’t bear to scold her.
“That’s…unfair!! Forget it. I’ll deal with you later. For now, let’s focus on the big guy in front of us.”
Yuluo couldn’t stand seeing Sister Yueyue’s pitiful face, but this time she had gone too far.
Once they got back, she needed to properly teach her Sister Yueyue a lesson to ensure she understood the consequences of her reckless actions. As for how to discipline her, Yuluo would have to think carefully about it later at night.
On the other side, Yinya swung her giant hammer at the predator again, but this time the predator countered with its tail, sending her flying and crashing hard into the ground.
The predator fixed its gaze on Yuluo and her group. Compared to the other two S-class ability users, Yuluo clearly troubled it more, though it was unclear why.
Seeing the predator’s attention shift to them, Yinyue quickly picked up her sword, preparing for battle.
The predator was evidently wary of the sword in Yinyue’s hand and didn’t intend to engage them in close combat, even if it would damage its pride.
The predator summoned lightning to strike at Yuluo and her companions, but the bolts only landed around them, never directly hitting them.
The predator then opened its massive mouth, ready to obliterate them with a beam attack. However, Yuluo used her spatial ability to transport them onto the predator’s head before it could fire.
Without needing any further instruction, Yinyue drove her sword into the predator’s head. The predator’s eyes widened, and it let out a roar.
It summoned fog beasts to attack them, but Yuluo and Yeming intercepted these beasts. Yinyue gripped her sword tightly, slashing repeatedly at the predator’s head, causing more and more wounds.
The predator, unable to tolerate these pests on its head any longer, flapped its wings and took to the air. Yinyue realized this was bad—the predator likely intended to leave and wreak havoc in the city to shake them off.
While she could inflict pain on the predator, it wasn’t enough to be lethal, only enough to make it go berserk.
Seeing the predator attempting to leave, Bai Xiaotao sprang into action. A massive sword appeared, slicing through the air towards the predator.
Similarly, Yinya stood up from the rubble and hurled her giant hammer at the predator. The combined forces struck the predator, temporarily slowing it down but failing to stop it from leaving.
“Miss, what should we do now?” Yinyue asked Yuluo.
“Don’t worry, we have reinforcements,” Yuluo replied.
“Reinforcements?” Yinyue was puzzled.
The Ability Users Association had already abandoned them; where could reinforcements come from?
At that moment, the predator stopped, not because it chose to, but because it had collided with an invisible wall. Clearly, someone had used spatial abilities to seal off the area.
“What’s going on?” Yinyue was confused.
Why did the predator suddenly stop? What had happened?
Then, Yuluo’s shadow began to shift, and a girl in a black uniform appeared.
“Long time no see, Miss, and Lady Yinyue,” Long greeted them with a bow.
“So you’re the reinforcements the Miss mentioned,” Yinyue remarked.
She had almost forgotten that Yuluo had the Shadow Guards as an asset. With their help, the upcoming battle should be much easier.
“Yes,” Long responded.
“Where’s Xiao Chun?” Yuluo asked Long.
“She’s down there. It’s urgent, so let me take you down first.”
As she spoke, darkness enveloped them, and when they reopened their eyes, Long had transported everyone from the predator’s back to the ground.
“Miss, I missed you so much…”
Wei’er began to say, but was interrupted as Yinyue grabbed her by the neck. Wei’er realized she was in trouble.
“Isn’t this Wei’er? It’s been such a long time,” Yinyue said with a smile.
Although Yinyue’s smile was beautiful, for some reason, Wei’er found it terrifying, as if Yinyue might devour her alive.
“Instructor Yinyue, it’s been so… so long. How have you been?” Wei’er’s voice trembled, like a child caught doing something wrong.
Nana covered her face, thinking that Yinyue must have found out about that incident.
It was Wei’er’s gossiping that had spread the news to everyone. Now, Nana could only mourn for Wei’er for three seconds.
“My health is fine, but my mood has been soured recently by a certain gossip-loving person,” Yinyue said with a smile.
“Is… is that so? That… that person is really bad, huh?”
Wei’er stammered, fearing that Yinyue had already discovered the incident. Damn, there must be a traitor among them who told sister Yinyue.
“Yes, Wei’er, don’t you think so? What kind of punishment do you think I should give that person?” Yinyue whispered in Wei’er’s ear, like a devil’s whisper, making Wei’er shudder involuntarily.
“I…” Wei’er was too frightened to speak.
“Alright, Sister Yueyue, don’t scare Wei’er too much,” Yuluo intervened.
“Since Miss says so, I will comply,” Yinyue said, releasing Wei’er.
“Hmph…lucky you.” Yinyue continued.
“Phew, that scared me to death,” Wei’er said, clutching her chest as her heart gradually calmed down.
How was Miss able to tame sister Yinyue? But the most important thing was that she got away.
Yay! She had narrowly escaped punishment.
“But, while you escape death, you won’t escape punishment. I’ll have you write a full set of test papers,” Yinyue said with a smile.
Hearing this, Wei’er’s mood plummeted like a roller coaster. She felt like she might break down after finishing the entire set of test papers.
