“I heard he was here?”

Theodore, who had been out, came into the room, looked at me and raised his eyebrows.

“That pendant … what happened?”

“He gave it to me as a gift. He said it was a charm to ward off evil and cure illnesses.”

“A good-luck charm? Well, isn’t that just an excuse.”

“What?”

“He just wants you to wear a gemstone the same color as his eyes.”

“…Theodore…do you really dislike him that much?”

I tilt my head to my younger brother, who has a clearly displeased look on his face.

“It’s sister who doesn’t like that guy.”

”But…but…I don’t hate him now…”

“How could you forget? You hated him so much.”

“I don’t know why I didn’t like him…”

Patrick-sama is very worried about me. I don’t understand why I didn’t like him.

Why did Alexia hate him?

Why do I not remember anything about Alexia?

Why…what about him?

I sat on the edge of the bed, and Theodore took my hand.

“Anyway, you mustn’t let him get to you.”

“Why do you hate him so much?”

Did it have something to do with the fact that I disliked him?

Or is there another reason?

“Because he’s going to take my sister away from me.”

He looked at me with a serious look in his eyes.

“Why is sister’s marriage determined by the king’s order? Why can’t she stay in this house with me?”

“Theodore…?”

The look in his eyes was…feverish.

It’s as if….

”Besides, if you get your memory back, you’ll hate that guy again, won’t you?

”Well…that’s…”

I wonder if I’ll hate Patrick when my memory comes back.

“That’s why you shouldn’t be close to that guy.”

“…but…I have to marry Rick…”

“Rick?”

There was a sharp light in Teodoro’s eyes.

“What is that…why are you calling him that? —Could it be…did he told you to call him that.”

“…yeah…”

“And he called you Xia?”

“…… yes…”

“Heh.”

Theodore’s face came so close to me that our noses were almost touching.

“How did you two get so close?

“Theodore… you’re too close…”

“Theo, it’s Theo.” he said, his hand tightening.

“Theo,” he said. “If you call him that, you can call me Theo. And don’t use that polite language.”

“Theo, Theo… it hurts…”

I frowned my face unintentionally because of the pain of the tight grip.

“I’m sorry… it’s because sister is getting along with him.”

He then loosened his grip, but then he pulled my hand toward him and pressed his lips against the back of it.

I could feel the heat of Theodore’s touch.

“No, sister. Don’t get close to him.”

Theodoro said, parting his lips.

“With your condition like this, you don’t have to force yourself to marry him.”

“…but…it is the king’s order…”

“I won’t let you marry. You will stay in this house forever, sister.”

Theodore said this with a strong gaze that seemed to shoot through me.
