Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear - Chapter 749
Bear-san, doing Origami
After leaving the castle, we took a horse-drawn carriage.
After touring the castle town in the carriage, we returned to Sakura’s house.
“Oh, you’re back!” (Kagali)
Kagali-san greeted us with a cup of tea as we returned to our room.
“Kagali-sama, we’re back!” (Sakura)
“Kagali-sama, are you alone?” (Shinobu)
Kagali-san was the only one in the room.
“Suzuran is so depressing that I kicked her out. She doesn’t need to take care of me all the time. However, she took away my liquor. This is elderly abuse!” (Kagali)
So that was why she was drinking tea.
“It’s not good for your health to drink alcohol in the daytime, so Suzuran must have done it out of concern.”
“So, how was the castle tour?” (Kagali)
Kagali-san looked at Noa and the others.
“It was fun.” (Noa)
“The view from the top was beautiful.” (Misa)
“Well, I’m glad you enjoyed the trip.” (Kagali)
She looked at them as if she were an older woman looking warmly at children.
But since she looked younger than Noa and the others, it felt strange.
Shuri said with a smile, “Also, we met the princess. She was beautiful.”
“Princess? You mean Honoka?” (Kagali)
“Yes. And then Shinobu and Juubei had a match against Yuna-sama.” (Sakura)
“What exactly did you guys do in the castle?” (Kagali)
“It’s not my fault. He wanted to fight Yuna himself, so he used me as an excuse.” (Shinobu)
Oh, I knew it.
He was saying plausible things to Shinobu, but ultimately, it was Juubei-san who really wanted to fight me.
“So you fought Shinobu and Juubei.” (Kagali)
“Well, sort of.” (Yuna)
“I don’t care about your match with Shinobu, but I would have liked to have seen your match with Juubei.” (Kagali)
“It’s terrible that you don’t even care about my match.” (Shinobu)
“If you feel bothered by that, strengthen your skills.” (Kagali)
“Ugh.” (Shinobu)
Kagali-san seemed interested in my match with Juubei-san, so I told her all about it.
“Heh, that one hates to lose, so when he lost to you, he must have been smiling outside, but was crying inside.” (Kagali)
Kagali-san chuckled.
“Isn’t that normal?” (Yuna)
Everyone wanted to win.
No one would be happy to lose.
“Usually, yes. But sometimes it’s not. When you fight someone who is much stronger than you, you feel many emotions: resignation, respect, awe, and you usually don’t want to try again.” (Kagali)
Please stop talking about people as if they were monsters.
“That’s right. I don’t want to fight a giant serpent ever again.” (Shinobu)
“Will you stop equating me with the giant serpent?” (Yuna)
“Yuna is stronger than that.” (Kagali)
There were sounds of laughter roaring all around.
Then, while talking about the castle, Noa and the others started to relax.
“I like this tatami, after all.” (Noa)
“Yes, it feels good.” (Shuri)
Noa and Shuri lounged around on the tatami.
“Noa, that’s not very modest of you. Shuri, don’t don’t emulate the same thing.” (Yuna)
I warned Noa and Shuri as they rolled around on the tatami.
“I’m sorry.” (Noa)
“Ugh, I’m sorry.” (Shuri)
“If you want to do it, do it when we are at Kagali-san’s house first.” (Yuna)
That house was big enough that no one would see us.
They could roll around as much as they wanted.
Besides, I could understand why she would want to lounge around on the tatami mats.
“I don’t mind.” (Sakura)
Sakura said, but Noa was a noble lady.
I did not want Cliff to be angry with her later.
“Noa, you should take a cue from Misa and behave a little more ladylike.” (Yuna)
“That’s terrible. I am Misa’s role model, her big sister.” (Noa)
“Fufufu, sister Noa is the big sister I admire.” (Misa)
“You may admire her, but you should not emulate her bad behavior.” (Yuna)
“Yes.” (Misa)
“Misa, please don’t reply like that.” (Noa)
Laughter escaped from those around us.
“But I’m glad you like tatami mats.” (Sakura)
“I want one for my house, too.” (Noa)
“Then, shall we buy some tatami mats for you guys?” (Yuna)
“Is that okay?” (Noa)
“Yuna Onee-sama, I want one too.” (Misa)
“Me too!” (Shuri)
Misa’s and even Shuri’s followed Noa’s words.
“Shuri, we can’t put it in our room because we don’t have enough space for it.” (Fina)
“Ugh.” (Shuri)
Indeed, Noa and Misa’s room was huge.
I didn’t know exactly how big it was. Anyway, the room was huge.
Even if we put 6 tatami mats in their room, there would still be plenty of space.
On the other hand, Fina and Shuri’s room was small, so there was no room for them to place tatami mats.
If they ended up putting tatami mats on the whole floor, then placement of beds, wardrobes, desks, and many other things would be complicated.
“Shuri. I have tatami mats in my house, so you can come over whenever you want.” (Yuna)
“Really? Yuna, you promised me.” (Shuri)
We had planned to go out to shop for tatami mats, but Shinobu said she would arrange them for us.
“I will go out to make arrangements” Shinobu said and left.
“You are all leaving tomorrow, right? I will miss you.” (Sakura)
Sakura said somberly.
We were scheduled to leave the Land of Wa tomorrow.
“Yuna-san, where are you going next?” (Sakura)
“That’s right. I’m thinking of going to the elven village, what do you guys think about joining us?” (Yuna)
I asked, and Sakura and Kagali-san’s faces turned into a surprise.
“Are you sure?” (Sakura)
“Yup, but I don’t intend to stay that long there, you know.” (Yuna)
“No, I don’t mind, I want to see Ruimin-san.” (Sakura)
Sakura raised her voice.
“Yes, that’s right. It’s not bad to see that guy’s face after a long time.” (Kagali)
Kagali-san looked a little happy to see Mumroot-san.
“Yuna-san, who is Ruimin-san?” (Noa)
Noa and the others did not know about Ruimin, as I did not mention Ruimin when we were with Princess Honoka.
“She’s one of the heroes who saved this country.” (Yuna)
I did not lie.
If Ruimin had not been there, the serpent’s resurrection would have been hastened, and we would have been in serious trouble.
“Ruimin-san had nothing to do with this country, but she risked her life to save it.” (Yuna)
“Did Ruimin-san also fight against the giant serpent?” (Noa)
“Fighting is not the only way to be a hero. It is also important to support those who are fighting.” (Yuna)
So did Sakura.
Sakura and Ruimin poured magic power into strengthening the seal and suppressed the giant serpent so that Kagali-san and I could fight it.
“So she assisted Yuna-san in the fight.” (Noa)
“Wait, so we are going to a place where there are great people such as her!” (Noa)
Noa and Misa look impressed.
“I’ve met her.” (Shuri)
“Shuri, really?” (Noa)
“Yes, she’s a beautiful girl.” (Shuri)
That’s right, Shuri did meet Ruimin before.
“We played together in that lake.” (Shuri)
“The Hero, I mean the girl, what is she like?” (Noa)
“She’s an elf, so she must be beautiful.” (Misa)
Ruimin was becoming more and more glorified.
Interesting.
“Yuna Onee-chan.” (Fina)
As I listened to Noa and the others’ conversation, Fina grabbed my arm and shook it.
“Are you sure you don’t want to stop them? Ruimin-san, will be troubled.” (Fina)
“It’s not like she’s lying.” (Yuna)
“Yes, but…” (Fina)
Ruimin was a beautiful girl, there was no doubt about it.
She was a strong-hearted girl who kept the magic power flowing to reinforce the seal of the giant serpent in the midst of battle, despite all the danger and predicament, allowed for us to defeat the giant serpent.
It was definitely also thanks to Ruimin that we were able to defeat the giant serpent.
Well, but usually Ruimin was just a cute girl who was fumbling around.

When Shinobu came back, and after we finished dinner, she started doing something on the table with Shuri.
“Shuri, what are you doing?” (Kagali)
“Shinobu-nee-san is wonderful. She can make all kinds of things out of paper.” (Shuri)
“I’m embarrassed to be praised so much.” (Shinobu)
I looked in front of Shinobu and saw colorful papers, birds and flowers made of paper.
“Oh, origami.” (Yuna)
“Yuna, you know about origami?” (Shinobu)
“Yes, it involves making all kinds of things out of paper.” (Yuna)
The most famous one was the crane.
Unfortunately, I did not know much about origami.
I did not grow up in an environment where I could play with origami. I was also not a child who was interested in it. The only experience I had with it was making folded cranes in my kindergarten days.
So, I could only make cranes.
I took a sheet of paper and folded it.
And then the crane was made.
It had been about 10 years since I had folded a crane, but I remembered it.
“A bird?” (Shuri)
Shuri asked as she looked at the crane I had folded.
It looked like a bird, with spread wings and a long neck.
“Yes technically.” (Yuna)
Since I did not know if there were cranes in this world, I just admitted that it was a bird.
“Yuna-san, what are you doing?” (Noa)
“I was folding origami.” (Yuna)
Noa and the others peeked in.
“Is this a bird?” (Noa)
I was glad that Noa recognized it as a bird, too.
“Is that a flower or butterfly in front of Shinobu-san?” (Noa)
“Surprisingly, you make girlish things.” (Yuna)
“You are rude. I am a girl.” (Shinobu)
Shinobu’s words brought laughter.
“Origami brings back memories, doesn’t it?” (Sakura)
“Did you used to do that too, Sakura?” (Noa)
“Yes, I used to do it with my mother.” (Sakura)
“Ah… I’m sorry.” (Noa)
“Don’t worry about it.” (Sakura)
Sakura took a sheet of yellow paper and started to fold it.
She dexterously folded the paper and made a three-dimensional flower out of it.
“That’s wonderful.” (Noa)
“I didn’t know you could make a flower out of paper.” (Misa)
“Sakura, I want to make one!” (Fina)
“Me too.” (Shuri)
Noa praised her, while Fina and Shuri said they wanted to make one as well.
“Hmmm, that’s fine. Let’s make it together.” (Sakura)
People gathered around Sakura.
“Why did everyone gather around Sakura-sama? Even though I made it first…” (Shinobu)
“Don’t say that, Shinobu. Let’s do it together.” (Sakura)
“Even against Sakura-sama I won’t be defeated.” (Shinobu)
From then on, until bedtime, various origami were made.
There was a fox, but no bear, which was a little disappointing.
Kagali-san, who was watching us make the origami, had a victorious look on her face.
“I am sorry. I’ve never made a bear before.” (Shinobu)
“Well, you don’t usually make bears out of origami, do you?” (Yuna)
“Some people did make foxes, though, because of our legends.” (Shinobu)
“I will make a bear out of origami before Yuna-sama comes next.” (Sakura)
“You don’t have to make one.” (Yuna)
“No, I’m sure there must be someone who knows how to make a bear. Even if there isn’t, I will make it for you.” (Sakura)
Sakura remarked emphatically.
Well, I’ll just have to wait and see.
