Then Margarette came rushing in.

“Oh, what’s going on, everyone’s here.”

Margarette chuckled as she placed the basket in front of Yuuri. It was piled high with winter medicinal herbs and berries.

“I’ve been collecting materials! Give me a good evaluation!”

“You know, Marie-chan, I’ve told you many times that this is a counter for high rankers only, so please go over there to the reception…”

“Eh, it’s fine, I don’t mind.”

“No. If you want to use this place, you’ll have to work hard to get promoted.”

“Dang, it can’t help it.”

Margarette’s mouth twitched.

Belgrief peered into the basket and stroked his beard admiringly.

“You’re doing good, Marie.”

“Hehe, aren’t I? It’s just too easy and unsatisfactory for me.”

“Maybe so. But you must not learn to cut corners until you learn how to loosen up well, okay?”

“I know, I know. I’m doing it seriously!”

Margarette puffed out her cheeks pouting.

After registering as an adventurer, Margarette immediately received a number of requests, from killing low-level magical beasts to gathering materials and exploring dungeons.

She herself wanted to skip over the tedious process and take on stronger monsters and more difficult tasks, but Belgrief wouldn’t let her do that.

It was his belief that if you don’t learn the basics of adventuring step by step, it will lead to arrogance, and you will surely get tripped up somewhere along the way.

Having been in a crisis once before due to pride, Margarette grudgingly took on the introductory tasks, but it seemed to be getting more fun for her these days.

She seemed to have discovered that everything can be done with a certain amount of fun, as long as you are willing to discover something by yourself.

“Then, I’m going to go over there to have it assessed.”

“Yeah, you go ahead.”

Margarette walked to the lower Rank adventurer’s reception area with her basket, while Belgrief turned to Yuuri.

“I’d like to continue my research from yesterday, if you don’t mind.”

“Yes, that’s fine. Please do.”

” Then I have some more research to do, so…”

“Yeah, I’ll be waiting for you with Arnie and Millie, and Byaku!”

Charlotte replied cheerfully, while Byaku remained quiet and visibly annoyed.

Belgrief walked into the counter and started looking through the materials in the back. It was situated just right in a blind spot from the front, so there was no need to worry about attracting attention.

What he was looking at were the documents of old requests.

Belgrief’s eyes narrowed as he looked over and over again, and then he moved on to another document.

It seemed to have started to snow outside, fluffy snow clinging to the heads and clothes of the people coming in, melting here and there. The cold wind blew in, and with the snow mixed in with the wind,  forming water droplets everywhere.

After examining some materials, Belgrief did some physical stretching as there was still no progress.

He’s not bad at this kind of work, but it’s been a while since he’s done it, so it’s kind of tiring.
