My Daughter Grew Up to “Rank S” Adventurer - Chapter 60.3
Hi, everybody. I have recently started a new novel called I’ll Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History. You can read it HERE.
“Who’s coming today…?”
“Hmm, Ed-san, Rio-san… And then there’s Daddy, Qasim, and Byaku.”
“Boys’ club… That sounds like fun.”
“Except for Byaku, it’s all uncles, though.”
Belgrief said and chuckled.
“But are you sure it’s all right for us to come?”
“Yeah. Daddy needs to stretch his wings too once in a while…”
“Haha, alright.”
Belgrief stroked his beard.
He was planning to attend a drinking party that Edgar had invited him prior to this evening. It has been a while since he was asked to join the party, but he finally made arrangements and will be attending the Eastern cuisine restaurant, with Edgar as the host. They would meet there after the sun went down.
Belgrief had invited Angeline to join him, but Angeline, in an unusual move, had declined. Belgrief thought it would be more comfortable if it was just the boys drinking together.
Although he felt both happy and sad about his daughter’s growth, he decided to take advantage of Angeline’s kindness.
In return, the girls were planning to have a girls’ night out at Anessa and Miriam’s house today. They’re planning to buy food and drinks and have a sleepover if they get too drunk.
It’s good to be young, Belgrief thought, smiling to himself.
Angeline stood up quickly. She put on her cloak, wrapped her scarf around her, and prepared to head out.
“Don’t drink too much, Daddy…”
“Yeah, I’ll be careful. You shouldn’t drink too much, either.”
“I know.”
Angeline chuckled and walked out of the room in a good mood.
Belgrief looked out the window. The temperature was dropping again, and the sleet seemed to be turning to snow.
It was cloudy, but he could tell by the sunlight that the sun was setting. However, it was still bright and there was still some time before nightfall.
Picking up the spindle, he twisted the string and started spinning again.
The spindle spun and made a small buzzing sound, and occasionally the wick hit the floor before spinning.

There are several sections in the training grounds, including a field for mock battles and several small wooden rooms. Some of them are used for studying, while others are used by magicians for meditation and formula building.
In one of these rooms, the magicians were gathered: Qasim, Miriam, Byaku, and Charlotte.
Byaku and Charlotte stood side by side, Qasim folded his arms in front of them, and Miriam was leaning against the wall, her wand leaning against her side.
“The form of your feet. Make sure you’re aware of the shape, okay?”
Qasim instructed him, and Byaku furrowed his brow as he closed his eyes.
The wooden floor was cool to the touch as he stood barefoot. He could feel that he was standing, but the position of his fingertips, heels, and feet on the floor and how they were supporting his body felt oddly vague.
There was silence for a while, and then Charlotte took a deep breath. She was standing next to Byaku, barefoot as well.
“Haah… I’m so tired from just standing here…”
Qasim chuckled teasingly.
“Well, don’t be in such a hurry. You’re getting better and better, and it’s important to keep doing this.”
Miriam said with an amused look on her face.
“I’ve never seen this way of practicing before. That’s interesting.”
“Isn’t it? Magic is the art of interfering with the outside world using one’s own magical power. A formula or magic circle is just a simplified version of that process. What we’re doing now is the basics of the basics. First, it’s important to recognize your own form correctly. That way, you can keep the magic power in your body in good shape. The chanting and the theory behind the techniques can come after that.”
“That’s very intuitive. The youthful old lady wanted me to memorize the chanting and technique theory first, then practice for actual combat. Meditation was only done a little in between.”
