“Is everything ready?”
“Yeah.”
“Everything is ready.”
“Quickly, quickly.”
Each of the three Spalpkins in front of Pumpkin replied to his words in a tone of voice that reflected their individual personalities.
“Yes, yes, yes. I hope the stay-at-home group is okay, too.”
[[[Leave it to us?]]]
“Safety is first!”
“Count on me?”
Except for the three Spalpkin who just answered, he asked the other Spalpkins, to which they responded reassuringly.
Yeah, I think things are going to be alright.
“Good. Then, Gorky, Reigi, and Kakeru. All three of you hold on to my body.”
[[[Aye.]]]
“Let’s go, then. Hyulololooo!”
[[[???????]]]
Pumpkin levitated to the top of the trees and took off in a rapid flight toward Maunpir Village as soon as he was certain that the three of them were firmly grasping onto his body.
Although the three individuals holding him by the side were screaming more or less, Pumpkin didn’t pay attention to them.
This time, speed is the priority.
“Too fast?!”
Kakeru is strangely excited… Well, I suppose it can’t be helped that he enjoys sprinting.
It might be time to explain why I’m heading to Maunpir Village with the Spalpkins in my arms.
It may be fair to say that the reason for the trip was, of course, to explain and introduce the various aspects of the Spalpkins.
The time required to train the Spalpkins to even maintain a minimal level of competency meant that it took more than a month following their birth. He thought it would make a better impression if the children were reasonably polite in their first contact with other species, or if they followed his instructions to a tee.
“Here we are!”
“That was fast?!”
“Kyuu…”
“Ngh.”
After a short flight, all of them arrived at Maunpir Village smoothly, and the three of them who were being held by his side got off him and landed on the ground.
From what Pumpkin sighted in the sky, it looked like the residents of Maunpir Village were busy removing weeds and exterminating pests right now.
As for Pumpkin’s field, it was much easier now that Spalpkin, who was fond of gardening, was able to lend a helping hand.
“Well then, all three of you, let’s head to Tangosack’s house first.”
[[[Aye?!]]]
After that, they proceeded to Tangosack’s house.
————–
“Hey!”
“Oh, you have arrived.”
Tangosack, who was plucking weeds in the field, heard Pumpkin’s call.
“Who are those by your side?”
“Right. They are my son and daughter in a sense. Come on, give your greetings.”
He asked them to come forward and introduce themselves.
“I am Reigi.”
“Gorky.”
“Kakeru.”
Saying this, the three of them greeted Tangosack.
Specifically, Reigi gave a formal bow, Gorky nodded, and Kakeru raised one hand while answering cheerfully.
By this point, it should be self-explanatory, but in case it isn’t, let me describe the personalities and abilities of the three of them.
The first one, Reigi, was as polite as her name implied. Pumpkin didn’t remember teaching her anything, but she used honorific language like a normal person, so it may be that Lean has made some adjustments in the form of giving her some knowledge. Ability-wise, she was the most average.
After that came Gorky. This one was more potent than a conventional Spalpkin, and he had a quiet demeanor, which was rare among Spalpkins. He would, however, casually join in and have fun when there was a commotion or anything.
And last but not least, there was Kakeru. Contrary to Gorky, Kakeru exhibited excellent leg strength and was the most childish of all the Spalpkin, as can be seen from the noise he has been making. Nevertheless, when it came down to it, he was the one who took the job seriously.
“I am Tangosack. Even so, I never dreamed that at my age I would have a grandchild, let alone a son, less than a year after he was born.”
“I didn’t picture myself having children so soon either.”
Tangosack’s joke, which was made with a look of amazement on his face, was answered back with a straight face, even though Pumpkin knew in his heart that he was kidding.
The truth was that he had wished to have a child or an apprentice in some way, but Pumpkin didn’t imagine he’d be able to have them within a year of his reincarnation into another world, and he didn’t reckon he’d be able to.
“But, well, I’m not going to abandon them now that they’re born, and I’m ultimately going to be a hands-off parent, though I will train them as a part of my parental responsibility to the extent that they can be independent.”
“Right. As a parent, that much is only natural.”
Whatever form they may take, there is no doubt that they are my children. I have no intention of discarding them in the middle of their lives.
I don’t know when they become adults, though.
“Speaking of which, how is Uriko?”
“She’s growing up fast.”
After Tangosack agreed with his educational policy, Pumpkin asked about Uriko, who was apparently being raised in peace and tranquility.
So he turned to Tangosack’s house and…
“I’m a little surprised at the growth of her magic power.”
“Ah, yeah, that’s for sure.”
“Amazing…”
“Coming to this point, how scary?”
“She’s really a Human?”
A colorless, transparent magic power ascended like steam from Tangosack’s home.
No matter how Pumpkin looked at it, that was Uriko’s magic power.
Hey, or should I say, Kakeru, why are you questioning that? Compared to a normal human being, you merely possess a slightly greater amount of magic power than her. When it comes to Uriko and you, I care more about Uriko.
“Ah, Pumpkin?”
“Oh, this is not good. Should I teach her magic manipulation techniques, even if it’s just for fun anyway?”
“Please do. The people in the village know the situation, so it’s okay, but I don’t want my daughter to be the focus of some strange person’s attention.”
But since the priority right now is Uriko, I’ll let Kakeru’s comments slide.
What is crucial right now is to teach Uriko how to manipulate magic.
Well, there are limits to what I can teach Uriko since she is a baby. But still… yeah.

T/N:
I don’t know the genders of Reigi, Gorky, and Kakeru. I am only assuming it based on their names and words
