“Things have gotten awfully lively here…”

“Right.”

“Bububububu. (It’s a pleasure to meet you.)”

“Yes, it’s nice to meet you too.”

Several days later, when the leader’s hive has been completed, Pumpkin called Mizuki and a face-to-face meeting was arranged.

And as a result of the meeting… well, Pumpkin felt that Mizuki accepted the situation with no problems or delays.

Even though Mizuki can’t lend a helping hand to the entire race, she would be willing to offer assistance to the leader individually, and the leader was also open to giving Mizuki nectar from time to time.

Well, maintaining a rapport is the best thing there is, right? That’s all there is to it in the end.

Furthermore, Mizuki can understand the leader’s words and was conversing with her. It appeared that Mizuki, a spirit, had a flawless understanding of the Hunting Bee’s language. Mizuki was after all an incarnation of nature.

It would appear that the leader, too, became more intelligent than a normal Hunting Bee after becoming a queen bee, and can understand their language naturally.

Incidentally, the next generation of worker bees was born one after another in the leader’s hive, and those worker bees that the leader brought with her have been expanding the hive and producing honey in cooperation with Pumpkin’s race, the Spalpkin.

It was a peace of mind to find that a stable cooperative relationship had been established early on.

“But then again, it is more of a village than a base at this scale”

“Bunbububu. (I thought it looked like a village when I saw it from the sky, too.)”

“Ah, I knew it looked that way.”

Following Mizuki’s and the leader’s words, Pumpkin took a look at his surroundings.

What came into view was the building where he lived and a few structures where Spalpkin and the others were dwelling. Moreover, there was a large hive made of beeswax from Hunting Bee, a small-scale field, and a reservoir. And the Spalpkins and Hunting Bees which inhabited there.

This is a village, no matter how I look at it.

“Then I’ll have to think of a name for the village or something…”

“Well, that’s true…”

“Bububububu, bubunbubu. (Indeed, a name for clarity is a necessity.)”

Regardless, this conversation was currently taking place by the side of the reservoir, like idle gossip.

Specifically, Pumpkin was laying down his roots on the ground, the leader was resting on a perch he had prepared, and Mizuki was sprawled out on her elbows on top of the reservoir.

It may look undignified, but this style was the most comforting for them.

In addition, the leader cannot see Mizuki, but she can hear her voice and can perceive a distinctive scent from the place where the spirit was. Pumpkin was unaware of the distinctions between the two species, but it was an incredibly fascinating phenomenon.

Well, I shall leave aside the Hunting Bee’s method of perception.

“Alright. Let me suggest an idea.”

“Right. It wouldn’t hurt to make a decision early.”

“Bubububu. (I believe that would be fine.)”

It was decided that the village should be given a name at the earliest convenience.

“Kabocha Village.”

“Rejected. That’s too lame.”

“Bu, bububun. (Then what about something like Pump Honey Village?)”

“Isn’t that too cute?”

“Then, let’s go with Accumulate Village.”

“Bunbu… (That sounds like an additional lake…)”

[[Ugh…]]

But for now, the first idea was dismissed by the other two individuals.

“Yeah. In that case… why don’t we think about the name based on the origin of the village?”

“Even if you said that, the origin is only that Pumpkin built the village, and that’s the end of the story.”

“Bunbubu, bububububu? (Why is it called ‘Lean Forest’ in the first place?)”

“Oh, I should explain it to you first.”

So, while watching Mizuki explaining to the leader about Lean Forest, Pumpkin thought of a name for the village.

Kabocha Village was denied for now, so… Pumpkin Village, Kabocha Village, Fairy Village, Yellow Flower Village, yeah, none of them sound right…

[Samsara Egg.]

“Hmm?”

“What’s wrong?”

“Bububu? (What’s the matter?)”

“Well, I just heard the name ‘Samsara Egg’ coming from somewhere…”

At this point, a voice suddenly reverberated in Pumpkin’s head like a divine revelation.

“‘Samsara Egg’… what does that even mean?”

“Mmm. From my pre-reincarnation memories, ‘egg’[i] would mean ‘egg’… but I don’t know what ‘Samsara’ means.”

“Bubu, bunbububu. (But the word has a nice touch to it.)”

Mizuki racked her brain at his words, and the leader nevertheless complimented him for his excellent taste for the word.

But neither of them seem to have an opposing view, I guess.

…I mean, I just realized that this is a revelation from Lean-sama… and this is the forest where Lean-sama is hidden…

And when Pumpkin mentioned this to them…

“Oh, that reminds me… you heard their voice several times before, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Lean-sama could hear us.”

“Bububububu. (I can only comply with what the most prestigious one has told us.)”

“Lean-sama. I wonder if it’s safe for you to convey your voice even over here…”

Despite the fact that they both agreed with him, everyone—including Pumpkin—could not help but exhibit a subtle expression.

I mean, is it safe to call out to me at a time like this in ordinary times, let alone in a dream where the distance between us seems relatively close?

It made Pumpkin feel uneasy in many ways.

“Well, for now, is the name of the village ‘Samsara Egg’ okay?”

“Yes, that’s fine.”

“Bububububu. (I agree.)”

Nonetheless, the name of the village has been decided as “Samsara Egg” as the agenda for the time being. I’ll look into the meaning of “Samsara” at some point, though.

Well, I wonder what will happen to the Samsara Egg Village from now on.

T/N:

[i] The first egg is written in katakana and the other one is in kanji. As for samsara, it is written in katakana as well while ?? is the common word for it instead of using katakana so Pumpkin didn’t know the meaning
