Strict Wife Of The ’70s Manages The Household - Chapter 573
Lin Lan, who was usually calm, optimistic, full of wisdom and comfortable with life actually had such a fragile side to her heart.
He didn’t know whether his inference was correct. Anyway, it just felt like that. He didn’t seem to have managed in giving his woman a complete sense of security.
He still remembered that the old lady made things difficult for her when he first came back. She was screaming about wanting a divorce, but she must have been even more afraid about a divorce than the Eldest Sister-in-law currently was.
It’s obvious that she had changed.
That was the first time he took a serious look at her and he found something in her eyes. She became positive, cheerful, optimistic and motivated. Her entire being became full of wisdom.
It was fascinating and it made him want to know more.
Because she was drunk, he was a little impatient when he went to handle the conflicts afterwards. His mind was filled with questions about having a boyfriend and her question that asked if he truly loved her. In the end, he invited Han Yongfang to his home directly to calm down the old lady who still wanted to make a fuss.
He didn’t want to waste another minute outside and was in a hurry to get home. He knew that his heart would be settled once he saw her.
Now that he was lying on the kang next to her, nothing else mattered except his desire to take a closer look at her.
The dim light enveloped her figure and her beautiful face was reflected in great detail— a look that he was familiar with.
Tonight was the first time that he looked at her seriously. He even wanted to see everything about her, not merely just her face, gaze and body.
If this was a gun, no matter how complicated it was, he would be sure to take it apart and have a look from the inside.
But this was a soft woman. Her hair was soft, her eyes were soft, her lips were soft, her body was soft— everything was soft, even her bones seemed convincing as well.
Then again, she was also another strong woman with straight shoulders and a strong backbone. She was a strong character and a seemingly hard heart that was fearless and was not afraid of anything.
If she and her Eldest Sister-in-law swapped positions today, they would probably break the table and ask for a divorce.
Divorce.
He never thought about it.
Once you get married and have children, it would last a lifetime. This was how his parents have been accustomed to and there was naturally no exception for him as well.
His comrades also say that marriage is when a man and a woman get together for life. The woman gives birth to the man’s children and the man earns money to support the family so that the family could live a good life.
No one had ever mentioned that marriages were done out of love.
But, she asked him if he was worthy of her love and if he loved her.
If she hadn’t asked, he would never have considered such a cringe-worthy question in his life. Such words were something that a person like him would never use no matter what.
Though, it was true that he didn’t know what the meaning of love was.
He only knew that the nature of a soldier was loyalty.
Be loyal to the country, loyal to the party, loyal to the people and loyal to the family.
Be faithful to his wife.
He wanted to be good to her all of his life and sleep with her and her alone. He wanted to work hard to make money to support the family, making sure that she and her children lived comfortably. He also wanted her smile to become sweeter by every passing day.
