Strict Wife Of The ’70s Manages The Household - Chapter 604
Eldest Sister-in-law Han naturally wouldn’t blame her daughter. After all, she was sometimes full of complaints and couldn’t help but be jealous of Lin Lan as well.
She told her daughter that her Third Aunt was not that kind of person, “Your Third Aunt is very generous. As long as you don’t deliberately have bad intentions, she will not pester us about our past wrongdoings.”
She also understood that Lin Lan had become a different person since her final attempt at drinking pesticides and became more and more powerful. If anyone was bullying her children or crossed the line with her, she still dared to use axes and knives. But when it came to minor issues, it never fazed her as she dealt with them wearing a smile.
So if Eldest Sister-in-law Han were to complain, feel jealous or say something out of spite, Lin Lan wouldn’t take it seriously. Besides, now that the family was separated, most of the things that were piling up in her heart were gone. Although she was still angry with her man, she would not take it out on others.
However, after she came back from her parents’ home, she still found time to talk to Lin Lan and wanted to apologise to her. By doing so, her heart would open up and it wouldn’t always be embarrassing to meet Lin Lan as if she still owed her something.
Who knew that Lin Lan would understand as soon as she said the opening lines and immediately diverted her words to prevent her from continuing.
If she didn’t say anything about it, Lin Lan would pretend she didn’t know about it. That way, Eldest Sister-in-law Han wouldn’t have to be embarrassed.
She felt that people’s hearts would be revealed over time. Things that were both good or bad could not be expressed in words at the moment. People would only be sincere if treated with sincerity, so in the long run, such feelings were bound to show.
There might not be any positive feelings when they were under the same roof all day long. After separation, it made sense that their relationship would get better. Maybe this was the need to keep distance between people. Especially in a family, there could only be one woman who can take charge of the family since two female tigresses were incompatible.
Lin Lan’s attitude swept away the turmoil in Eldest Sister-in-law Han’s heart. She wanted to have a good relationship with her henceforth, so she often sent Gumi to give or borrow something. As they moved around like this, their relationship became warmer.
Lin Lan naturally helped them a lot. After all, their family had just been separated and everything was in short supply. They could benefit from borrowing tools from each other.
Gumi, “Third Aunt, this is the shrimp paste my maternal grandmother’s family gave me. It’s very salty, so you should eat it with rice.”
Lin Lan smiled and said, “Salty but nutritious— indeed it is a calcium supplement.”
Gumi didn’t understand her words, so she smiled, talked to Maisui again and went inside to look at the sewing machine.
Since the sewing machine was brought back, Maisui didn’t even bother to eat sometimes and just stayed with the machine to figure it out.
She was also studious. Although her legs were not long enough, she did not hesitate to play around with the contraption.
“Sister, look, I can already step on it,” Maisui held the instruction manual in one hand and turned the sewing machine wheel with the other.
Gumi looked very curious, “Can this really be made into clothes?”
