Since Han Qinghua came back, he would come to Han Qingsong almost every day to invite him to come over and talk amongst the 4 brothers. Han Qingsong went along the first two times because he had to discuss Han Jinyu’s dowry matters as well. After the discussion was finished, he didn’t attend this ‘brotherly gathering’ every time despite the invitation. At most, he would merely have a conversation with Han Qinghua in the yard before sending him off.
Now that Han Jinyu was engaged and Han Qinghua had returned to the farm, Lin Lan was relieved.
Although Han Qinghua seemed normal now, Lin Lan couldn’t trust him so easily out of intuition. Perhaps it was her being over-suspicious, but she just didn’t harbour any good feelings about Old Lady Han’s family, so she didn’t want to get herself involved with them more than necessary.
After all, Han Qinghua had beaten Sanwang before and he even tried to steal the money and items in her house. How did making him write an IOU and sending him to a labour reformation camp not ignite a passionate hatred towards her instead? Even if he changed, wouldn’t he have some form of resentment in his heart? She didn’t hesitate to speculate that Han Qinghua still had some malice in him. After all, she was responsible for both her and her children’s safety.
