Strict Wife Of The ’70s Manages The Household - Chapter 804
Lin Lan served the children vegetable meatballs and some syrup soup. She handed Dawang a bowl of hawthorn apple syrup soup and asked with a smile, “How did you do on the test?”
Dawang glanced at her with a face that showed no indication of his emotions, so it was hard to tell whether he passed or failed.
Lin Lan’s heart skipped a beat. Oh no, there was something wrong with her eldest son’s expression. Why did he look so sad and aggrieved?
Did he fail?
She restrained her smile, “It’s okay; it doesn’t matter if you didn’t do well on the test. Anyway, studying is not meant for dealing with tests. You just need to learn what you should learn. In the future, being able to write and calculate is better than anything else, so let’s just kill the chicken as planned.”
Dawang handed her the test papers as he usually did, but Lin Lan felt that his expression was slightly sad.
She took the test papers and thought that if it was not 50, he probably should have at least gotten a little more than 40 points. Though, she felt that Dawang had mastered the material pretty well so he should have gotten 60 points. It didn’t really make sense that he wasn’t able to get 50 points.
She unfolded the test paper and saw the real scores. She cried out in praise, “Brother Dawang, you’re amazing! You are a role model for your siblings and you made your parents proud! Mm, not bad, mom and dad are very proud of you!”
She praised him generously.
Sanwang, “Eldest Brother is blushing.”
Sure enough, a suspicious hue of red appeared on Dawang’s pale-coloured face.
Maisui smiled and said, “Eldest Brother, congratulations, you can go up to the 4th Grade level now!”
Erwang, “Eldest Brother, your hard work for more than a month has finally paid off. You don’t have to do maths questions in your dreams anymore, haha,” Dawang was so nervous doing so many questions this month that he started talking in his sleep and often scolded a random question harshly.
He would say something like, “Why is it so difficult?! Is everyone sick? Can’t the question be simpler?”
Haha.
No one else knew about it besides Erwang, who discreetly told Maisui and Lin Lan. They didn’t dare to let Sanwang know about it, otherwise the entire village would get wind of the news in no time.
Sanwang clapped his hands, “Ahhh, I can finally chew some pig’s trotters without worry.”
Because Dawang had been busy with his studies recently, Sanwang had to keep his voice down at home and be careful when he slept. He couldn’t chew freely all along because when he did, his Eldest Brother would give him a kick and send him flying.
Once, Dawang was kicked awake by Sanwang but the latter had accused his Eldest Brother of not sleeping properly, not knowing that he was the one who provoked the older one first while he was sleeping.
When he accused Dawang of it, the eldest brother showed him his shoulder, which still had the younger’s teeth marks on it.
Sanwang then became obedient, laughed it off and touched the mark, “Eldest Brother, you are really strong! Just like our father,” He quickly tried to butter him up instead.
Xiaowang also looked at the test papers within Lin Lan’s hand, “Big brother is so smart, I can’t answer any of these.”
