Even the brigade cadres wouldn’t care and she guessed that by now, the things in the house would have been emptied. In two days, she and her children would have no food to eat. Then, she would have to find a way to remarry or commit herself to Liu Wenhu, that bastard.

She did not want to stay any longer. Seeing that the brigade cadres came forward to support her, she thought that others would not dare to bully the family again. Hence, she started to head back home.
She turned her head and saw Caihua in the crowd. She was surprised by the fact that she and Yanyan were always inseparable, but the girl definitely wasn’t here a while ago.
Lin Lan heard that the two girls now attended school. Yanyan probably took a day off today from her lessons to take care of her father whereas Caihua went alone and only came back not long ago.
Seeing Lin Lan looking at her, Caihua gave her a thumbs up.
Lin Lan did not think much about it. Seeing that it was late, her own children had probably gone home from school and would probably be worried if they could not see her.
Who knew that after taking two steps, Dacang, who was behind her, gnashed his teeth and scolded Lin Lan, “You stinky woman that meddles with other’s business so much, you’d better be careful. Otherwise, there will come a day where you die unknowingly!”
He lowered his voice so that others could not hear it clearly, but Lin Lan, who had good hearing, heard it all.
She turned around and was about to scold the child back, but she heard a ‘pop’ sound. She didn’t see anything but Dacang screaming. The boy covered his mouth and howled before a trail of blood oozed out from between his fingers.
At this time, Dawang had walked in from the crowd, went up and gave Dacang a kick in the chest. That one blow made Dacang fall to the ground, pained to the point where he was unable to even yell out.
Dawang stepped on Dacang’s chest with one foot, making him immobile, and said coldly, “Come on, why don’t you tell me how you’re going to die?!”
