The man in question would not dare to be so negligent in offending four brothers from his bride’s family, let alone the fact that one of them was the Director of the Public Security Bureau. Something must be wrong.
Coincidentally, Haotian, Dawang and the other children also came over. Since their aunt was getting married, the group of nephews and nieces also came to see her off.
Han Jinyu was anxious in the room, but upon seeing them, she got angry again and scolded, “For someone that only looks forward and never leaves a glance behind(1), why are you all here? Do you think that I’m not annoyed enough?”

Just after she said this, Dawang turned around and led his brothers and sisters away. He was heading there merely out of courtesy. If he didn’t come, people would criticise his parents for being ignorant and not letting their children see their aunt off. He never really intended to see her off at all and yet, she was here taunting them.
Seeing that Dawang and the others were leaving, Han Jinyu got angry again, “I can’t even say one thing and you all turned your backs? Do the lot of you even see me as an aunt? There aren’t any kids that are as disrespectful as you guys in your generation!”
No one helped her rant her frustrations except Old Lady Han. Eldest Sister-in-law Han even asked Haotian and Gumi to leave in order to avoid having to deal with their youngest aunt’s tantrum.
The adults were here solely because of their responsibility towards the family regardless of her unsightly appearance or her being a laughingstock.
Han Jinyu cried and continued to worry at home. An hour later, two men and two women finally came by. When Han Jinyu saw the groom’s entourage coming, she turned around and rushed into the house to hide herself, shouting that she was not going to marry anyone anymore.
Naturally, no one paid attention to her while the Han brothers entertained the groom’s people.
One of the two men was gentle and polite whereas the other was big and strong. Amongst the two women, one resembled a lady from the city with how she kind-naturedly kept a smile on her face. The other was strong and had a tan complexion, looking like a country woman.
They pushed a bicycle and carried two food boxes.
The gifts that Han Jinyu’s in-laws claim to have included bicycles, radios, and watches naturally did not need to be sent to the Han family. Because she would need to ride a bicycle the entire way, Liu Haozhe’s watch was given straight to Han Jinyu for her to wear upon their marriage ceremony whereas the radio was placed in the new room.
Hence, they brought two loads of food to treat the bride and her family members to at her parents’ home. It was not bad of an action, considering that most families didn’t have this prepared.
Eldest Brother Han looked around before asking, “Where is the groom?”
The gentleman wiped his sweat and said apologetically, “Sigh…about this, things got pretty unlucky. Haozhe was riding a bicycle on the road before he tripped over a stone. His foot got stuck under the stone and he sprained it badly, which is why could not come over. We left someone behind to take him to the hospital, but he pushed the bicycle to us for our bride to ride upon returning.”
