He was sure that Lin Lan would say bad things about him to Han Qingsong. He regretted the incident very much and secretly cursed himself for being stupid. He shouldn’t have gone to test her when he saw she was alone at home, but he really couldn’t help it at that time. He was angry when he thought of his family being ruined by her and yet she had the guts to live such a comfortable life?

There were no outsiders at that time. He really had a flash of impulse, but his logical sense and reasonings prevailed.  He knew that he couldn’t do anything while she was home, but whether or not she resented him before he wouldn’t know. However, he was more than aware that her impression of him had hit rock bottom as of now.

He also thought that he was lucky and smart enough to pull a trick when his Eldest Brother headed over coincidentally. He would be able to vouch for him and also paint a portrait of Lin Lan being too troublesome.

He originally wanted to go home and rant to his parents, but his Eldest Brother told him not to say anything. In order not to make his Eldest Brother hate him, he could only keep this to himself.

He was eating absent-mindedly when Han Qingsong came in from outside.

Han Qinghua immediately put down his chopsticks and smiled, “Third Brother, you’re here.”

Han Qingsong glanced at him, “What’s happened to you?”

Han Qinghua touched his face and hesitated, “No, my sister-in-law…what did she say to you?”

Han Qingsong had always been expressionless but he also didn’t say anything as a response. He just looked at Han Qinghua wordlessly.

Han Qinghua became even more suspicious when he saw his Third Brother behave like this, so he hurriedly smiled and said, “Third Brother, my sister-in-law was a little too nervous. I apologised again and again, but she… sigh, she just can’t tolerate me. She even tried to stab me with an awl.”

When Old Lady Han heard this, she got anxious and slammed the table before cursing, “What is she doing? Why did she try to stab you with an awl? Old Three, what’s going on?”

Han Qingsong ignored the old lady, but turned his head to look at Han Qinghua. His expression was cold and his eyes stern, “Fourth Brother, you remember what I told you before right?”

Han Qinghua smiled flatteringly, “Third Brother, with how many things you said to me, which ones are you talking about?” He didn’t take his words seriously and showed his face to Han Qingsong, “Third Brother, look, my sister-in-law is so cruel, she slapped me…ah—”

He exclaimed when he saw Han Qingsong making a move to punch him. The youngest got so scared that he quickly hid behind the old lady.

“Third Brother, listen to me, I didn’t do anything. I just went to deliver wedding cakes and sugar snack pieces! It was my Third Sister-in-law who stabbed me with an awl! I apologised to her and she said she forgave me, so why…why did she turn against me and complain again?” He felt very wronged.
