Sanwang, “Your grandfather is old now, but children with bald heads are smart,” He pulled out an idiom he learned, “Do you know what’s sharp as a tack? Only the smartest people have a sharp head, which means we don’t have hair!”
Haonan didn’t go to school and didn’t like to read, so naturally he didn’t know the idiom of being as sharp as a tack. Regardless, Sanwang made it sound convincing, so the child envied him.

The two little girls sat in front of the stove, as pretty and clean as flower buds. One was bright and the other gentle, both particularly attractive under the firelight.

In order to entertain the two little guests, Lin Lan made a few new dishes.
The small squid was very delicious. Once could add some leeks to stir-fry it or add it into soup directly. In addition, frying hairtail fish with some green onions and eggs would be impressive enough to serve on a family table with a few other dishes.
Folks from the countryside didn’t understand seafood, especially for children. It seemed that to them, only stewed meat and chicken were considered good meals. Though, to be fair, they have never eaten anything like this. In a sense, they couldn’t miss what they never had.
Lin Lan’s children were practically raised to eat, so they all felt their appetites whet when they smelled the delicious taste.
Especially the squid soup, which had both the fresh and sweet taste of seafood and the fragrance of leeks. The white soup was filled with green leeks, which was a perfect match.
Because two little guests came, the seats for dinner were adjusted again. Maisui and Qiaoqiao were together, Xiaowang and Haonan were with Sanwang, Dawang sat with Han Qingsong whereas Lin Lan sat near Erwang.
Lin Lan looked at the father and son across from her, one big and one small who looked very similar. Then, she looked at the two girls who looked like twins at the three cute boys arranged from tiny to tinier. Finally, she glanced at the gentle and handsome Housekeeper beside her.Being in a particularly good mood, she decided that it would be good to have a few more bites of pancakes today.
Erwang first served Lin Lan a bowl of soup.
Lin Lan smiled and said, “Serve Qiaoqiao a bowl too.”
Erwang took a bowl to help serve Qiaoqiao and said girl took it with both hands and said softly, “Maisui, can we share a bowl? “At this time, most families have many people but small tables. Since there were mostly not enough bowls at home, the one-bowl-per-person rule doesn’t really exist. At first, Lin Lan was not used to it, but later she followed the local customs and didn’t care about it either. After all, they were family.
