The Earth-san Has Leveled Up! - Volume 2 Chapter 11.1
Resuming Exploration
Meiko woke up at 4:00 a.m. and looked for the familiar sound of a newspaper delivery motorcycle in the still-dawn twilight.
In Meiko’s area, the newspaper delivery comes around 4:00 a.m. every day, and when she heard it, she feels happy that she could still sleep. However, since she had been running in the morning for training recently, it was hard to say that she was [not] yet ready.
However, when she saw the pretty sleeping face of the blonde beauty emitting a good smell in front of her, she remembered that this was not the place for such things.
She searched for the book about adventure from her sleepy brain and beep [continue].
Meiko tried to get up, but then notices something was wrong with her body.
I can’t move! I’m restrained!
“Meiko-san, that’s not a flounder, it’s a tuna…”
“Nuhuh! Even a fillet won’t be mistaken!”
Sasara was holding Meiko, who was sleeping on her side, in her arms from her back.
Sasara was doing something to Meiko in her dream.
The story of the flounder and the flatfish must have been confusing her in here dreams.
Meiko held down on her laughter as she thought about her friend’s strange dream, and then she was flailing around trying to wake Sasara up.
Sasara woke up to Meiko’s body twisting and turning like a tuna or a flounder.
“Huh? The tuna has turned into Meiko-san.”
“You don’t seem to be awake yet…! Wake up! Everyone, wake up!”
Ruru in front of her reacted to Meiko’s call, and opens her blurry eyes.
But then, with a weak “fueeee,” she hugs Meiko and falls back to sleep.
This was like a special service from the two, a morning sandwich.
“What a pair of sleepy little kids!”
Meiko finally woke them up.
Sasara shrugged and responded.
“That’s not true. I was so tired last night that I slept too deeply. You know?”
“I know!”
I did understand.
“I had a pleasant dream.”
Ruru was still going at her pace.
I had to ask.
“What kind of dream?”
“I dreamt that the three of us were on an adventure. Mm-hmm.”
“Then I guess I have no choice but to let you off for now.”
Ruru said with a smile, her eyes glazed over.
She did mention that we were having an adventure, even in her dream. Meiko was happy to know about it, and that was a pleasant dream, and laughed about it.
Completely drained of her frustrations, Meiko pulled back her pouting mode.
“Well, Sasara, Ruru, let’s keep up the good work today!”
“Yes, sir! Let’s do our best!”
“Nyau! I’ll do my best!”
Meiko nodded her head at the two as they got into the spirit of the day, and then turned to Sasara.
“That’s right, Sasara, are your legs okay?”
Sasara perked up at the question.
It wasn’t that badly injured, but yesterday it was jittery and sore to the point that it bothered her a little. However, it had been fine until this morning, when she woke up and forgot about it until now.
She rolled up the hem of her jersey and found that there was not even a scar there, just a little trace of blood.
“I see, the [automatic recovery small] worked, didn’t it?”
“It seems so.”
“Good for you, Sharla!”
It was probably a wound that would have healed eventually, but it was better to know that it healed quickly.
For Meiko and the others, it was their first injury in the dungeon, and although it was not a serious wound, it was a rather serious incident.
Meiko and Ruru were relieved to have it all sorted out.
Breakfast was Calorie Friend plain [25/25] and rabbit meat.
Since even a mere candy could make a dramatic difference, synthetic enhancement to CaloFriend should definitely have an outstanding performance. But, if they kept on consuming it without exercising, they might end up in serious trouble. But if they exercise a lot, it would be a very encouraging ally.
The three of us would munch on the CaloFriend with a side dish of rabbit meat while sipping our drinks.
Sasara asked Ruru what kind of adventure she was dreaming about, and she began to give a blank faced explanation that was not quite interesting, as was often the case with people’s dream stories.
Still, Sasara found it interesting and listened intently.
Meiko wanted to ask about flounder and tuna. But Sasara probably forgot that she even had a dream.
And so, the search began early in the morning.
The lanterns had already gone out, and there was a bit of fog instead.
I wanted to stay at the inn for a little longer because of the fog, but the time limit was running out, so I had no choice but to leave.
I had about 30 minutes left, which I left as a contingency plan in case we had to evacuate. This would give us the option of rushing to the inn.
Today’s exploration will take us beyond the Japanese Doll.
We had already explored most of the first level area and decided that there was no return gate there.
