Chapter 183 Gigantic Giant

TL: Kyous

Stars were dotting the sky, the moon was shimmering and it was another great weather.

Currently, it was midnight and three military supply trucks were driving on the road at a steady speed. Two military jeeps were guarding the convoy at the front and back respectively. Apart from them, the road was emptied.

Seven hundred soldiers occupying the base had withdrawn with the armored personnel carriers while the remaining one hundred were stationed at the base for the night. Once morning arrived, they would deal with the base as directed by the command center.

But there was nothing of value left in the cave. After Leo pocketed the valuable things with two boxes, the rest were loaded onto the three military supply trucks moving on the road.

One person was seated on the passenger seat of the three trucks and they were beaming with joy. If they could safely get the three valuable-filled trucks to their headquarters, it would be a great merit. Including the eight soldiers in the jeeps, everyone was over the moon.

Anyone would be smiling if they could seize billions of dollars worth of supplies without having to fight.

However, what they didn’t notice was that a palm-sized figurine was lying on one of the trucks’ rooftops. With his legs crossed, he was leisurely resting.

Since it was almost time, Leo sat up and sized up the surroundings, realizing it was a road in the middle of nowhere where it was a good place to rob.

Arching his lips, he leaped into the air. As he hovered in the air, he examined the distance between the five vehicles. As he had a concrete estimation, he began carrying out his robbery plan.

He surged his Mechanical Force and activated Viper Mark VI’s enlarging function.

The next moment, a twenty-meter-tall giant figure clad in black armor suddenly appeared before the convoy. The giant slightly lifted his legs and gently stomped on the supply truck at the front. The asphalt road immediately sank as the supply truck was overturned because of inertia.

The abrupt change stunned everyone in the vehicles.

‘Where am I?’

‘Who am I?’

‘Have I stepped into a giant’s land?!’

These were the subconscious thoughts of every soldier present.

“Enemy attack!” One of the soldiers snapped out of it and yelled at the walkie-talkie.

All of the soldiers were well-trained and gradually recovered. A signaller immediately requested backup from the headquarters.

Meanwhile, the other four vehicles instantly stopped as the soldiers exited the vehicles with weapons in their hands, preparing to engage. Based on the U.S. soldiers’ logic, regardless of what the identity of the monster was and whether or not they could defeat it, firing a volley of bullets first was a must.

At that point, the guns in their hands were their most reliable support.

While the six soldiers on the three trucks managed to get off the trucks, the eight soldiers on the jeeps weren’t that lucky. Just as they opened the car doors, two thick and long white silky objects were rushing over, sealing the two jeeps together with the soldiers. These white silky objects were the Mutated Spider Silks shot by the gigantified Viper Mark VI.

But from the perspective of those eight soldiers, they weren’t any spiderwebs at all! They should be hemp ropes instead!

On top of that, the webs were extremely resilient. The daggers the soldiers had on them failed to cut through a single strand of the webs.

The soldier in the driver’s seat suddenly had an idea as he urged his comrades to seat tight and stepped on the gas pedal, but the jeep was struggling in the spiderwebs instead of breaking out.

On the other hand, the six soldiers nervously clenched the assault rifle in their hands and began firing at the twenty-meter-tall gigantic giant. However, the bullets that struck the armor didn’t even produce a spark and instead bizarrely lost their momentum and dropped onto the ground.

Although they were just tickling Leo, they soon became annoying. So, Leo gifted the six two thick spiderwebs, plastering them on the ground.

Finally, the surrounding areas were quietened.

Leo took out an empty box from his chest and enlarged it with his Mechanical Force. A moment later, the box turned huge and he dragged it along the ground. Grabbing the supply truck next to his feet with his leg hand, he tossed it into the box. Then, the second and third ones before he closed the box.

Circulating his Mechanical Force, the box shrunk before he shrunk Viper Mark VI as well. In an instant, he became ant-sized and left the crime scene.

The six soldiers frantically struggling on the ground suddenly stopped while blankly staring at the empty road, as if witnessing a ghost. When the soldiers widened their jaws in astonishment, Leo had flown into the sky along with the three boxes filled with supplies.

Leo flew as he reminisced about the feeling of becoming a giant just now and found out it felt quite great. When he was a giant, he had the illusion of watching a colony of ants as the soldiers didn’t even reach his knee. In addition, after becoming larger Leo felt his physical exertion accelerated, and the oxygen supply was somewhat inadequate.

Scott Lang could only maintain the giant form for ten minutes with his ordinary physique while Leo had the “Super Soldier Physique (Inferior)” talent, naturally able to last longer. And by that, it was only applicable in the non-combat state.

If he was to fight in giant form, the oxygen supply couldn’t keep up and his stamina would swiftly run out.

He inwardly decided he would improve Viper Mark VI’s air circulation system and add a new function to the system to regulate the air pressure within the armor. That way, he could fight longer while in the giant state!

Nonetheless, these were just Leo’s fleeting thoughts as in most of the situations, his combat prowess in shrunk form was more powerful and deadlier than in giant form.

After he shrunk, his flying speed was extremely fast and El Building was right before his eyes soon enough. He directly flew into his lab and returned to his original size.

Before he took out the boxes after taking off the armor, he heard Steam’s voice sounding in the lab, “Buzz! Master, where are Steam’s arms and legs? Why are they gone?!”

Turning around, Leo saw Steam at the corner was “alive” again. Its eyes were shining vibrantly in rainbow color while its round head was spinning around, trying to search for its mechanical arms and tread legs.

Leo was amused by Steam’s funny appearance. He shrugged and smiled, but he didn’t let his guard down as it could be Dr. Zola in disguise!

He shrunk down the armor first and put it into his pocket. Then, he picked up his laptop on the workbench and approached Steam with a smile, “Steam, come. I’ll open up your head and give you a checkup.”

“Buzz! Is anything wrong with Steam’s body?” Steam’s voice was slightly weak as though being afraid.

“You’re sick!”

God knows what Steam was feeling, but it didn’t have any arms to resist and any legs to escape. So, it could only stare at Leo removing the outer shell of its head and plugging in a wire.
