The Legitimate Daughter Doesn’t Care! - Chapter 22
Lou Xu excitedly held onto her phone as she quickly reopened the picture of Xu Xinduo’s WeChat picture, wanting nothing more than to bask in her beauty. In the end, Xu Xinduo didn’t mention a time where they would meet up, so she could only enjoy the picture.
Her picture was just a photo of a sunset as the presence of words weren’t noticeable.
Lou Xu couldn’t help but let out a sigh— if she had a face that looked like Xu Xinduo’s, she would have been obsessed with taking photos of herself all the time. Yet, why are these good-looking people not taking advantage of their beautiful appearances?
The next day, the school stopped the Interest Classes in the afternoon. Students of every class stayed in their respective classrooms and turned on the projector. There, they saw the live broadcast of the Asian Piano Competition.
Today, their school’s Tong Yan was going to participate in the finals.
This was undoubtedly a great event which brought glory for the school. This competition was of great importance to the school itself as they even made watching the live broadcast mandatory.
Xu Xinduo held the mobile phone in her hand and looked up at the big screen.
The live broadcaster was on a local platform so it was natural for it to pay more attention to the local competitors. Hence, from time to time, the camera would be directed at Tong Yan to show his present state of mind.
Tong Yan’s handsome face appeared on the big screen and he was holding a mobile phone in his hand. He glanced at it from time to time as he occasionally glanced at the other contestants.
Not knowing whether it was because he appeared on the big screen or any other reason, it made everyone feel like they were watching a movie. On the screen, they felt like Tong Yan was the main protagonist of a movie.
He was arrogant and rebellious, but his eyes were full of confidence and indifference both at the same time.
He looked elegant, just like a vampire in the classical movies—the most charming and the most dangerous.
Some girls in the class sighed as they murmured quietly, “Ahh, Brother Yan is so handsome.”
“I usually won’t even dare to look at him; this is my first time seeing him properly in such detail.”
Xu Xinduo looked at the message on her phone: [Ahhh, how annoying.]
Looking at the teenager on the screen, it was hard to imagine that he actually managed to send such a line while looking so graceful.
Xu Xinduo replied: [Are you nervous?]
Tong Yan: [It’s not me who is going to compete anyway.]
Xu Xinduo: [Let’s swap.]
Tong Yan: [Okay.]
Tong Yan’s body swayed slightly. Then, he changed his sitting position from a cross-legged position to sitting upright.
At the same time, Tong Yan went into Xu Xinduo’s body. He looked up at the projector screen and found that he was actually watching the live broadcast in the classroom. He couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wtf!”
Why is the school going this far to promote this?
He covered his face in embarrassment— it was a bit unbearable.
Xu Xinduo was the one who insisted on participating. Her skills were commendable to the point where she seemed to befriend the piano every time she played, and it would not rouse suspicion if she used his body to participate in those contests.
Tong Yan could only agree with her. As a result, over the years there were all kinds of trophies in his room.
Everyone thought he was very elegant, but in reality, he was rather annoyed.
At this time, Wei Lan turned his head and said to him, “That is your deskmate, Tong Yan. He is a very fussy person.”
Tong Yan looked up at Wei Lan and his expression changed instantly.
So you have been making snarky comments like this about me when I’m not in the country?
Wei Lan had long been accustomed to Xu Xinduo’s unwillingness to talk, so he continued to chat, “If our Brother Yan’s temper was even a little bit better, he wouldn’t have had such a bad rating amongst the school.”
“Is that so?” Tong Yan responded coldly.
“Yeah. If you act a little cuter, there will be a lot of people chasing after you, so don’t be fooled by Zhen Longtao.”
Tong Yan didn’t know about this incident, so he could not help but raise his eyebrows. With that, he tried to distinctly remember who this Zhen Longtao was.
Wei Lan simply didn’t wait for his response and continued, “But speaking of it, I still kind of envy Zhen Longtao. At least, he got to touch your hand a little; I haven’t even touched it yet.”
After saying that, he stretched out his hand, wanting to touch ‘Xu Xinduo’s’ hand.
