The Lying Counselor’s Eloquent Reasoning - Chapter 55
Episode 6 – Left Eye Pluto
It was two o’clock in the morning on the road. Even the plants were slumbering when suddenly there was a shrill cry of anguish, a thud, and the sound of a car braking.
The place was a sharp curve in the road that led through the mountains. The entire area was dead pitch, devoid of people, and barely lit by the streetlights that illuminated the car as it screeched to a halt.
Soon, a man emerged from the car. He looked about 40 years old and was wearing a suit. The man scanned the road surface. Nothing lay there. The only thing he discerned was a slight blood stain on a nearby guardrail. Beyond that was a cliff, with what was supposed to be a forest below.
“Well, I guess she was blasted off here and landed down there…”
The guy wiped the sweat from his forehead with trembling hands. Then, inching backwards, he slipped back into the car.
“There was nothing there. I didn’t crash into anything…”
Over and over again, he reminded himself, grabbing the steering wheel again and starting the car.
