“Haruka, are you going on a date with that girl today?”

“It’s not a date, we’re just going shopping.”

It was currently lunch break. The classroom was a little deserted.

Both Haruka and Yunika were eating lunch while sitting across each other.

Their main topic was about Haruka and Reika’s outing later that day.

“We’re just going to pick out a gift for Nee-san.”

“But you did slept with her, didn’t you?”

“That’s right.. though I did got drunk and accidentally did it.”

Haruka told Yunika and Shinku what happened to him with Reika, saying that it wasn’t a big deal. Haruka can never forget the cold look in their eyes at that moment. He was prepared to part with them right then and there.

“We were just talking about it yesterday, but it seems what Ria said was true.”

“Haruka, you’re too lenient and tend to accept anything as long as it doesn’t cross the line.”

While they were pleasantly chatting together, Haruka received a message from Ruriko, the president of the drama club.

[The script for the festival is ready. Here it is. You will play the delinquent.]

“I just got a message from the drama club.”

“Are you guys gonna perform at the school festival?”

“That’s right.”

“I think you’d play a good deliquent.”

“I just got casted as one.”

Yunika giggled with a smile full of charm and mischief.

Haruka skimmed over the script sent to him and realized that it was not just a supporting role, but rather an important one.

“This looks harder than I thought.”

“Why? Are you gonna get beaten up?”

“Nah. I have to repeat the same lines four times, and I have to change how I perform it very slightly.”

The script that Ruriko sent Haruka was a play in which the main character was a girl who got stuck in a timeloop.

The delinquent that will be played by him noticed the time loop but had to keep feigning ignorance.

For the time being, Haruka was determined to play his assigned role and strives to impress the audience.

“As long as things go smoothly, will you come and watch?”

“Yes, of course.”

Yunika beamed a smile at Haruka, which compelled him to pat her on the head.

There were still some classmates loitering in the classroom. But the both of them didn’t care.

Despite all the various problems, Haruka and Yunika’s relationship was well known.

As Yunika was getting patted she turned her head down with her cheeks flushed.

Whenever Haruka lifted his hand a little, Yunika made a regretful expression on her face.

Haruka patted Yunika’s head again to avoid such a face.

“Yunika, your face looks sloppy desu wa.”

“There’s nothing sloppy about it!”

Shinku came back from the cafeteria and stared down at Haruka with a cold gaze as usual.

“Sit over there. You can borrow Hibiki-chan’s chair.” (Yunika)

“……”

Shinku borrowed Hibiki’s chair without saying a word and sat down next to Haruka as she was told.

Haruka found it funny that despite her attitude, Shinku was honest with her desires.

“What’s so funny desu wa?”

“You’re pretty cute, Shinku.”

“Haa?”

Shinku’s straight face indicated that she didn’t understood Haruka. She stared at him with narrowed eyes.

“Come to think of it, Shinku. Aren’t you supposed to be running the clan war?” (Yunika)

“…. I wasn’t in the mood.”

Shinku replied curtly and slightly averted her eyes. Yunika realized that she had been ditching the VR game in order to meet up with Haruka more.

“Ah, Wait.. Haruka-san!”

Haruka smiled and pulled Shinku’s chair a little closer.

He casually laid his fingers at the back of Shinku’s hand.

Shinku looked around in a panic.

Many of the classmates who were spying on them dropped their eyes to their desks in order to escape Shinku’s glare.

The way Haruka and Shinku was seated is such that their intertwined hands can’t be seen at any angle.

“Good grief..”

While Shinku complained, he didn’t shook off Haruka’s hand until the other classmates returned to the classroom.

Time passed and it was now after school.

As Haruka promised Reika, he came to the department store with her.

“Obi-kun, please take care of me today.”

Reika was still polite and respectful despite her current flashy appearance.

“You don’t have to be so formal…”

“Fufu. I guess so. For now let’s pick out some snacks and accessories.”

“Let’s check out some clothes while we’re at it.”

“That’s a good idea. I want to know Obi-kun’s preferences.”

Haruka’s eyes widened and he broke out into a cold sweat from Reika’s blatant attraction towards him.

Seeing Haruka stiffened, Reika slipped her hand through his arm, grasping it tightly.

Reika did it as if it was natural.

“Let’s get going, shall we?”

Reika’s face was bright red, perhaps because she was embarrassed.

“Okay…”

Without rejecting Reika’s favor towards him, Haruka smiled wryly as they started walking.
