Ten minutes have passed since Haruka and Yunika hugged each other.

Yunika’s ears were bright red as she buried her face in his chest. As he touched her, Haruka could feel that Yunika’s body temperature was rising.

“Yuni-chan, are you okay?”

Though Miyako was showing concern towards Yunika, she was just trying to pull Haruka and Yunika apart from their embrace.

“Yuni-chan?”

This time it was Haruka who called her with her nickname.

Yunika responded by shaking her head that was still resting on Haruka’s chest.

“…. I’m so embarrassed.”

Yunika’s voice was so small and quiet that it was faintly audible.

“I can’t look up…”

“…Adorable.”

Yunika’s weak and fragile appearance is a complete turnaround from her usual brazen demeanor, Haruka couldn’t help but keep caressing her.

“I brought the piercer, open it.”

Yunika stared at Haruka with a solemn expression on her face as he began to prepare.

Yunika thought that even if it was pain it was fine as long as it was Haruka who does it to her. She quickly shook her head to shake off her distorted thoughts.

Haruka applied the disinfectant he brought from the other room to Yunika’s earlobe.

“This much is fine right?”

“Yeah.”

Yunika was quiet like a borrowed cat[1], her ears lightly stained red.

Haruka placed a marker a little lower than the center of the earlobe, and held the piercer ready.

“Here I go.”

Yunika squeezes her eyes shut.

There was a light sound, and Yunika’s ear ached. The pain inflicted by Haruka was spreading slowly.

“One down. Are you okay?

“I’m fine… It doesn’t hurt as much as I thought it would.”

“Right?”

As they talked, Haruka ejected the used needle and loads the next one.

Yunika’s other ear was lightly sterilized, it was ready to get pierced.

While Yunika was frozen from nervousness, Haruka quickly finished piercing her other ear.

“It’s done.”

Although Haruka finished piercing her ear, the placeholder earrings weren’t placed yet.

Yunika sighed in relief and released her tension at the sensation of Haruka’s touch in her ear.

The freshly pierced holes was sterilized again before putting on the earrings.

“You should wash your ears gently twice a day. If you have any problems, please talk to me.”

“How long do I have to wear the earrings?”

“About a month and a half. After that, you still need to put it on for at least four months otherwise it will close up.”

“Hmm…”

Yunika’s hand unconsciously tried to touch her earlobe, but Haruka held her hand and stopped her.

Surprised by Haruka’s suddenness, Yunika’s heart pounded again.

“Don’t touch it except when you wash them.”

“Ah, R-right. I’m sorry.”

“It’s nothing to apologize for.”

Haruka smiled and released her hand from his grip.

The part of Yunika’s hand that had been gripped felt faintly hot. Her heart was still beating wildly.

“I’ll get cursed if I don’t go.”

After that, Yunika had dinner with Haruka and the others.

The dinner table with Ria, Miyako, and Haruka was lively and enjoyable. Yunika’s sense of loneliness that tormented her heart somehow faded away. She felt that she had settled in nicely in Haruka’s harem.

A little while after finishing their meal, Yunika announced that she was leaving.

Yunika wanted to touch Haruka more. Feeling reluctant, she took a step backward. Yunika felt that the entrance was far away.

Suddenly, Yunika noticed Miyako’s expression.

Miyako had already turned her eyes away from Yunika, and was staring at Haruka’s side profile.

Her usual friendly smile was gone. Miyako leaned toward Haruka with a passionate expression on her face.

Miyako changed gears too fast, Yunika was already out of her mind as far as she was concerned.

The moment Yunika leaves, Miyako will most likely attack Haruka in earnest. Thinking of this, Yunika felt terribly lonely.

She couldn’t afford to lose. Yunika made up her mind.

Yunika walked back and said something in a small voice.

From reading the early chapters again, Yunika gave the piercer she bought to Haruka on chapter 60. Either Yunika had an extra one or this was an oversight by the author. It’s a minor issue nonetheless, just wanted to point it out.
