Chapter 120 – Glass Cannon

“There are more people here than I expected.”

Haruka muttered as he sipped his drink at the food and beverage booth.

The venue of the student band concert that Tsuyuri is going to participate in this time was more crowded than Haruka had expected.

Yunika, who was sitting at the same table as him, picked up some fries and said.

“It’s obviously going to be crowded since Tsuyuri is here.”

“Is Tsuyuri famous?”

Yunika’s statement surprised Haruka.

The current venue is a live house which claimed to have a capacity of two thousand people, but the current attendees was so large that it almost reached it’s maximum capacity.

Haruka, who had a preconceived notion that it would be a miracle already if five hundred people would show up for a concert where student bands perform, was forced re-evaluate his preconceptions.

“The band Tsuyuri is in is getting a lot of attention.”

Tsuyuri is a member of a band called Susume Girls. The band is apparently very popular at the moment. The members are as visually stunning as Tsuyuri, and their skills are also up to par.

“To be honest, they’re so famous that it makes me feel sorry for the other bands.”

Miyako, who was sitting next to Haruka, chimed in.

Indeed, after Haruka checked out the list of participating bands, Susume Girls was the only one that stuck out of the bunch.

“I’ve heard some of their songs, they’re clearly beyond the level of amateurs.”

“And they have sponsors too.”

“Eh, seriously?”

Yunika’s comment startled Haruka.

He thought that having a band with sponsors participate in a concert where it was mostly student bands was unfair.

“From the looks of it, the other bands ain’t too bad, but this time they’re definitely outclassed.”

“They’re smurfing.”

Haruka couldn’t help but laugh.

“Well, but thanks to Tsuyuri, a lot of people will be watching, so it’s a chance for the lesser known bands to make a name for themselves.”

“A stream for the concert is also up.”

Ria smiled as she held up a window showing the concert’s stream in the air.

“The stream is also packed.”

Even though there’s still more than an hour before than concert started, there were already more than 30,000 people tuning in to the stream.

The comments flooding the stream were all about Susume Girls. Once again Haruka felt sorry for the other bands.

But still Haruka thought that Yunika was right. This was definitely a good chance for the other bands to make a name for themselves. He hoped that they would do their best.

“Oh, you guys! You’re here already?”

A familiar male voice overcame the noise on the floor and reached Haruka and the others.

It was Haruka and Miyako’s childhood friend, Kureha Shun.

“Ah, Shun-kun. Hello.”

Miyako responded to Shun with a voice that was not quite upbeat.

“Yunika, Miyako. Everyone’s over here.”

“Well… I’ll go say hello.”

“Hm, that’s right… If it’s just greeting them.”

Miyako and Yunika stood up, intending to go to Shun’s table. Despite the fact that it would only be for a short time, a bad feeling permeated within Haruka’s heart.

Even though Haruka’s feeling of inferiority had eased up to a certain extent, seeing Miyako going to Shun still made Haruka’s heart ache.

“I’ll be going, Haru-kun.”

“See you later.”

Haruka managed to smile and saw the two of them off.

Haruka hated it when his lovers got along with other men.

Ria purposely scooted over and sat closer to Haruka who was looking a little bit depressed.

“It’s just the two of us.”

“That’s right.”

Despite the fact they were in public, Haruka pulled Ria’s shoulder and had her lean against him.

Ria closed her eyes and accepted Haruka’s affection.

*Clank!* A loud sound of a plate placed on the the table startled Haruka.

Ria and Haruka shook their shoulders together and noticed the sudden visitor.

It was Tsuyuri, who was frowning grimly and glaring at the two of them.

“Good morning.”

“G-Good morning… Tsuyuri.”

“Looking forward to your performance.”

“… Is that so.”

Tsuyuri quietly ate the small amount of carbonara she brought.

“Haruka.”

“What is it?”

“I’ll have you properly attend at the audience today, watch my performance.”

“I know. I’m looking forward to it.”

“Hm.”

Tsuyuri promptly finished up her meal and stood up, taking the empty dish with her.

“I’ll curse you if I don’t see you there.”

“Got it.”

Tsuyuri reminded Haruka again, he couldn’t help but let out a smile.

Tsuyuri raised her eyebrows and glares at Haruka, then she turned on her heel and left.

“She’s really into you, isn’t she~”

“I guess so.”

Just as Haruka leaned in close to Ria again, another person came over.

“Good day to you, Haruka-san.”

“Good morning, Shinku.”

“Greetings.”

This time, it was Shinku who came to their table.

“I thought you’re already with Shun and the others.”

“I just arrived desu wa.”

“I see. Why don’t you order something first?”

A menu was displayed floating at the tip of Haruka’s finger.

“Ah, uhm…”

“?”

“I would, like to take a moment of your time desu wa…”

Shinku bent down and gazes into Haruka.

Shinku’s eyes were hot and moist, her cheeks were stained red, a look of anticipation was clearly visible on her face.
