Chapter 17 – New Wind 1

Haruka woke up in the morning to find his sister Yuzurika’s face presssing up close to his.

It seems that they were not only about to kiss, but had already done so, the two slowly pulled their faces apart. At that moment, Yuzurika’s long hair tickles his cheek, and he has to make a small movement to escape from it.

Yuzurika’s eyes meet with those of Haruka. Yuzurika stares into his eyes and smiled softly.

Yuzurika gave Haruka a good morning kiss. Two or three times, she kept on kissing him as if she was nibbling on him.

Haruka put his hands on her shoulders and gently pulled her away from him, because it would go on forever if they didn’t stop.

“Nee-san, I know I say this all the time, but I don’t mind you kissing me in my sleep, but could you at least let me chew on some breath care?”

Haruka got up and prepared for breakfast. Since there was no housekeeping robot in the Obi household, it was Haruka’s job to do the household chores.

He made scrambled eggs at random as breakfast.

After washing his face once, he started to make a foam with the cleanser. Rolling the foam on his palm, he smeared it all over his face. After rinsing off the foam with lukewarm water, He took an appropriate amount of lotion and spread it on his palms, then spread it over his face and let it soak in.

Finally, he applied a moisturizing serum to complete his skin care routine.

Three simple titanium earrings and one green clover-shaped earring were prepared, each of which was cleaned and placed on a towel.

He lightly moistened a cotton swab with an antiseptic solution and gently dabbed the edge of the piercing hole. After wiping his ears with a steaming towel, he wore the three titanium earrings in his left ear and a clover earring in his right ear.

The clover earrings were a gift from Yuzurika, it was one of his favorites.

Now that he was all ready, he leaves the bathroom.

Yuzurika, who was relaxing in the living room, ran up to him as she saw Haru heading for the entrance.

Yuzurika puts her arms on Haruka’s shoulder. Standing on her tiptoes, she kissed Haruka, who was a head taller than her.

After their greeting, Haruka closed his eyes and drew his face close to Yuzurika’s. The latter made a small kissing sound. He kissed Yuzurika back on the cheek with a small sound.

This was an unusual routine for the Obi siblings.

It was rare for Yuzurika to be awake in the morning, so they were not able to do his every single day.

Haruka left his house and greeted Miyako who was standing at the usual meetup spot.

He was going to mention something about the Apocalypse game, but he managed to stop himself. He didn’t want to hear about Miyako’s love affair with Shun inside the game.

Haruka remained silend, he wondered where he should say something or not. Not along after, Miyako was the first to speak up.

“… By the way, the girl you were with yesterday was Ise-san, wasn’t it?”

“Ah, that’s right. Did you hear it from Claudia-san?”

“Rei-chan told me.”

Rei-chan was Kamizato Reika.

She was a small, innocent-looking, beautiful girl whom Haruka had a chance to meet inside the horror game. There was no doubt that Reika was high level in general, but she was a little shy and her presence was often overshadowed by the strong personalities of Shinku and Yunika.

“Did you have fun in Apocalypse?”

Miyako asked with a cold smile on her face. Pressured by the strange atmosphere, Haruka answered.

“Yes, well… It was fun.”

When Haruka asked back, Miyako said that she had been alone from the beginning to the end of the game and was scared the whole time.

It would’ve been very boring the play the game alone from start to finish, it wouldn’t have mattered whether one was a solo player that had a preference for horror.

While the two were talking to each other, Shun walked out from his house.

“Hi.”

“Morning.”

“Good morning, Shun-kun.”

They greet each other as usual and start walking towards the school.

Soon after, Shun and Miyako start talking about the game “Apocalypse” that they had played yesterday.

They have been talking about it in the group chat since they got home the day before. The developers must’ve be very happy about it.

Shun talked about his friend that was attacked by a swarm of large insects and died screaming after being eaten oll over. Haruka, who was listening to the conversation in the black, almost burst out laughing.

“… I’ve been looking for Miyako a lot, but I couldn’t find you until the end.”

“I see…”

“Let’s get back on track and play another game. Let’s play another game where we can all play together from the beginning.”

“Thank you…”

“You should come with us next time, Haru. You got along with Yunika and the others, right?”

“At least as far as acquaintances go.”

Shun smiled cheerfully and invited Haruka to join them. The latter guessed that it was a social call, since it had been a few years that he had been openly invited by him. He couldn’t help but a smile a little.

“By the way, Haru. Are you a homosexual?”

With a sarcastic smile and a teasing tone in his voice, Shun suddenly makes an outrageous comment.

In a calm attitude, Haruka responded.

Yunika was standing next to Haruka as she spoke.

“Shun and Miyako are still amazing, aren’t they?”

“I guess so.”

Yunika was watching the two as they were greeted by many students.

“They really are popular with the other students” muttered Haruka.

“Oh, and Obi… I’ll give you this.”

A holographic window appeared in front of Haruka’s eyes. It was Yunika’s friend ID.

As soon as Haruka received Yunika’s friend ID, his friend ID was also sent to hers.

Now the two of them can communicate with each other through their Talisman.

However, they could still communicate with each other by using apps or other means without exchanging friend IDs.

Somehow, Harruka felt that Yunika had acknowledged his existence, which made him a little happy.

“Would you like to have tea with me sometime?”

“Sure, when I have time.”

The two chatted lightly and cheerfully until they reached the classroom.
