When Yunika opened the door to the classroom, she found Ria and Miyako playing a card game inside.

“Aa, you finally came. Welcome, Yunika.”

Ria smiled cheerfully and invited Yunika, who is standing blankly at the entrance.

They quickly prepared chairs and sat around the same desk.

Yunika was puzzled. She couldn’t understand why the two of them were together.

Even though Miyako and Ria were sitting near each other in class, she had never seen them talking. She could not think of any other connection between them.

At first glance, there was no sense of distance between them.

On the contrary, they seemed to be on good terms with each other.

“Is it fine for Miyako to be here?” (Ria)

Miyako was tight lipped. She was the kind of person who’s interested in listening to unpleasant gossip but doesn’t spread it.

Yunika doesn’t have a problem with Miyako here.

“So, what’s the story?”

Ria asked bluntly.

Yunika stared at Ria’s face again.

Ria had a carefree face, the usual sleepy but smiling face.

She does it to everyone.

“Ria, are you going out with Obi?”

Miyako turned her face away from Ria. Unpleasant sweat ran down Yunika’s cheeks.

Ria doesn’t look apologetic, or perhaps it was natural.

What Ria was sorry about was that she didn’t tell her close friend Yunika about the fact that she was going out with Haruka. She probably had no idea that she had stolen Yunika’s love interest. There was no malice in her face.

Yunika’s sense of loss when her first love ended in heartbreak was unimaginably unbearable.

The usual Haruka that was close to her as a matter of course will be out of reach someday.

Yunika can’t be by his side when he’s gone. Because Ria was next to him.

There were more than five years till they graduate in high school.

One doesn’t know what will happen in life. There was a possibility that Haruka and Ria may break up.

But Yunika couldn’t even have that kind of hope. She couldn’t imagine a future where they would do so.

“I knew it, Yunika also loves Haruka, huh?”

Ria’s words penetrated Yunika’s brain to it’s core.

Yunika stopped crying instantly.

“You knew?”

Yunika refuted with her face reddening, her cheeks still wet with tears. Thinking back on it, she might had been giving out such an aura around Haruka. Though she wasn’t sure.

Thinking that Haruka might have found out too, Yunika suddenly felt embarrassed.

“I have something important to tell you, Yunika…”

“…. What is it?”

Yunika wondered what Ria, Haruka’s lover, will tell her.

Her thoughts accelerated in milliseconds. Will Ria say that she doesn’t want Yunika to be friends with Haruka anymore, or will she say that she’s fine with them being friends, but make her give up on her love?

“If Yunika is fine with it, why don’t you go out with Haruka?”

“Eh? W-What do you mean?”

Yunika was stunned and at a loss for words at Ria’s completely unexpected response.

“Exactly as what I said. I’m asking you to go out with Haruka.”

“Why? Are you breaking up with him?”

“Eh? I’m not breaking up with him. I’m saying that you should go out with Haruka too. As long as Yunika is fine with it, we can all be together.”

Of course, Yunika knew what Ria meant.

Miyako and Ria bantered in front of Yunika.
