40 Seconds [Part 1]
The next morning.
The three Stuart siblings and Leonard somehow barely made it on time to the evening party held in the royal castle.
Tonight, they were guided to the largest and most luxurious room among the several evening party venues in the royal castle.
Most of the guests had already arrived, and it seemed like no one would arrive later than the Stuarts.
“Emma-sama!”
When Emma turned towards the voice, her friends, who were also her classmates in embroidery class, were hurriedly heading her way but still at a pace that would not be considered improper.
“Oh my, everyone looks very beautiful in their dress.”
Francesca was wearing a pink lace dress that doesn’t come off as childish. Marion was wearing a one-shoulder jet black dress with a flower ornament on her shoulder. The twins were wearing off-shoulder dresses with marine patterns rarely seen in this world, sewed together with light blue and white fabric.
“I was worried for a while about what would become of today’s party. Thank you so much, Emma-sama!”
When Francesca put her hand on her chest and bowed in gratitude towards Emma, Marion and the twins also bowed.
“It’s my honor to be of some help.”
“Fufufu.” Emma had answered to their thanks.
“But is it alright for me to wear such a feminine dress?”
“It’s my first time wearing a fluffy, pink lace dress.” Francesca felt embarrassed.
“You look very beautiful, Francesca-sama. It’s perfect for a feminine lady such as yourself.” William showered her with the sweet words Emma had trained him to say.
Seemingly happy from the praise of a 10-year-old boy, Francesca was beaming with a blushing face.
“Oh, I too, never thought the day I wore a one-shoulder dress would come. You have kindly sent it to me, but because it takes some courage to wear, I hesitated between it and the knight uniform… Though my parents, older brother, and the servants all urged me to just wear the dress…”
While covering her bare shoulder shyly, Marion asked whether she looked weird in it.
“Marion-sama is tall and has good proportions, so you pull it off perfectly! That hair ornament also suits you very well and looks beautiful on you.” George said some sweet words he learnt from Leonard to Marion.
The tall George and Marion side by side were like a great picture together. If the two danced just like this, they would no doubt become the center of attention. Unfortunately, George would not dance as usual.
Marion smiled happily and said thank you in response. Maybe it’s because of the dress that her gestures looked more lady-like than usual.
“These stripes, we like it very much, right, Caitlyn?”
“These stripes, we like it very much, Catherine.”
The twins, too, looked very pleased with their dresses.
“Emma-sama, you really saved us. My dress was finished, but Caitlyn’s dress was not. We just can’t wear dresses that are not a matching set, right? Caitlyn.”
“Emma-sama, you really saved us. Uh-huh, we just can’t wear dresses that are not a matching set, Catherine.”
The twins’ dresses had the exact same design, with only the order of the light blue and white stripes inverted. The light marine patterns looked nice on their tan skin.
“Both Catherine-sama and Caitlyn-sama look very cute! I already knew marine patterns would suit the two of you!”
Looking at the dressed-up, silver-haired twins with tan skin, Emma kept nodding and said several times, “Yeah, yeah. Perfect.”
“This pattern is definitely going to be popular!” The twins said in unison.

This morning, the family heard a rumor that many ladies didn’t have their dresses done in time for today’s evening party from Joshua, who visited their house.
‘What if my embroidery class friends are also troubled…’ Thinking it would be better than not having a dress, Emma asked Joshua’s company to deliver the dresses made by the whole family.
She felt very fortunate that at the beginning of the week, Leonard, who was so lonely in every way after Melsa departed, sewed the remaining three dresses while the three siblings went to school.
Emma and the brothers, who couldn’t find friends to play with after school, also went home early to finish the dresses.
