- Chapter 79 - The Evil Dragon Finally Becomes the Dragon Slayer
The file is now available in Ko-Fi and Patreon for sale. It’s available in PDF and EPUB (EPUB is best for reader apps). I think I’ve missed some chapters on the Table of contents but don’t worry, it’s complete.
If you’re using iOS, it’s better if you buy in Ko-Fi because Patreon in iOS is subjected to Apple’s app store fee and you’ll have to pay a total of $13 in Patreon. If you have questions/problems with the files, send a message on my Ko-Fi or discord: Allthingsfluff#6145
This is what the EPUB looks like. I’m using Moon+ Reader on my tablet.
As Qing Li regretted not collecting the corpse, a pair of restless claws played with her hair.
“Eh, what’s this?”
Her master held a fake hairpiece, curiosity in his eyes.
A small bald spot on Qing Li’s head was exposed again, and a chill breeze blew over, leaving her expressionless.
“You old thing, I’ll kill you—”
Sensing the intense murderous intent, her master obediently returned to the umbrella before Qing Li could seal him.
“Boom boom boom boom boom…”
Numerous thunder talismans exploded outside, while inside the umbrella, the master shivered with his knees hugged. Beside him, a child version of Qing Li also shivered.
Little Qing Li: “Master, that woman outside is very fierce!”
Master: “Yes, don’t grow up to be like her.”
As she watched more and more deep pits form on the ground, the system, worried that the seal it had painstakingly repaired would be broken open again by her, spoke in a weak voice, “Don’t be angry anymore, I’ll give you another one for free.”
Qing Li then stopped.
For the sake of a free wig, she temporarily spared that old fool.
She reattached the ten seal talismans she had removed.
The sky was gradually showing the light of dawn, and Qing Li, remembering the hospital’s recruitment plan, knew she couldn’t delay any longer.
She took out an item the system had rewarded her with before — the skin of a fierce ghost. Using it, her body would emit the aura of a fierce ghost.
For her, already notorious at school, this was a perfect disguise.
After using the item, Qing Li’s aura underwent a dramatic change. Her skin turned an abnormal, ghastly pale, her face covered with corpse spots, and her little cotton-padded jacket became tattered and torn.
With her disguise complete, Qing Li began to roam around the school’s corners, carrying a spiked club.
Seeing a lone ghost creature, she raised the club and struck it down.
“Bang—”
The ghost creature wandering around the school suffered an unexpected disaster, its head caved in from the blow.
“Who, who… hit me with a sneak attack?”
The ghost creature, with brain matter splattered everywhere, felt the world spinning. In the last moment before it collapsed, it saw a fierce ghost dragging its legs…
“It seems I need to be gentler next time. Knocking them out directly won’t let me sign a contract of servitude.”
Qing Li learned from her failure and began looking for another unlucky ghost.
At this moment, Qing Li saw a familiar ghostly figure.
It was the top ghost talent, Gao Ming!
This man had escaped from Qing Li’s hands twice and had successfully caught her attention.
Qing Li didn’t approach him directly. Knowing the boy was very alert, she didn’t want to scare him off and make him run away again. She took out two immobilizing talismans and threw them at him. Gao Ming was immobilized before he could react.
Confusion flashed in his eyes, and before he could understand the situation, he saw Qing Li, carrying a spiked club, walking towards him with an evil smile.
“Man, you can’t escape from the palm of my hand.”
Gao Ming’s forehead throbbed. Even though Qing Li’s aura had changed, her face was already etched into his soul, becoming his shadow.
“Don’t come any closer, if you do, I’ll shout loudly.”
Qing Li moved even closer, coldly laughing, “Go ahead and shout. Even if you scream your throat hoarse, no ghost will come to save you.”
Gao Ming began to despair…
“Classmate, between becoming a ghost and a dead ghost, I hope you make the right choice.”
Qing Li handed him an employment contract with one hand, while the other hand held up a bloodied, bone-fragment-laden spiked club.
She was blatantly threatening him.
Gao Ming: “…”
Under Qing Li’s enthusiastic invitation, he signed his name on the contract of servitude.
Qing Li’s bound character information increased by one.
Name: Gao Ming
Occupation: Pending
Category: A foolish ghost who was bewitched by a ghost creature into committing suicide.
Capability: A diligent and eager learner, this student is full of positive energy and loves learning. They will surely become a valuable assistant in the hospital.
Level: Supreme Fierce Ghost
Growth: A+.
An A+ indicates potential for further growth; it’s very likely they could advance to an S level.
Seeing the system’s evaluation of their abilities, Qing Li felt gratified. This person truly lived up to her expectations as a top ghost talent.
Focus on nurturing them.
Suddenly, the pen in Gao Ming’s hand broke, and his face, shrouded in darkness, was expressionless.
No, it’s unfair for a ghost like me to be so unlucky.
He resolved to let more ghosts suffer at the hands of this woman.
The evil dragon eventually becomes the warrior that slays the dragon.
“How many more ghosts do you need?” asked Gao Ming.
Qing Li pondered, touching her chin. The hospital was large; for normal operations, at least 500 ghosts would be needed. However, as these were all unpaid laborers, more was always better.
“1000 will be enough,” Qing Li decided.
Gao Ming nodded, “Alright, I’ll handle it.”
As a Supreme Fierce Ghost, he was just one step away from becoming an Evil Ghost, ranking among the top in the school.
Wherever Gao Ming went, the tranquil school was filled with cries and howls of ghosts.
“Gao Ming, you really are heartless. You killed me when I was alive, and even after my death, you won’t let me be.”
“No, I don’t want to work. I will never work in this life…”
When Gao Ming returned, he had grown to over ten meters tall, his belly swollen and transparent. Through the thin belly skin, countless struggling ghosts inside were visible.
Qing Li had her bus ready in advance. Opening the door with a smile, she said, “Welcome, students, to becoming a part of Eastern Suburb Private Hospital. To congratulate you on joining, today’s ride is free.”
Gao Ming reached into his stomach, pulling out the ghosts one by one and throwing them roughly into the bus.
To comfort the weak and pitiable ghosts in the bus, Qing Li called out Duoduo and the Pen Spirit to entertain everyone.
An Evil Ghost, a Red-Clothed Fierce Ghost.
The thought of escape vanished from the minds of the ghosts in the bus.
Finally, the bus was packed full of ghosts.
Qing Li folded a paper crane and whispered to it, “Dr. Chu, I’ve recruited some quality interns for the hospital. I’ll drive them over shortly, hope it won’t disturb you.”
Considering Dr. Chu was a long-standing employee of the hospital, Qing Li thought it best to inform him in advance of the influx of ghosts, fearing he might get angry and destroy all the talents she had painstakingly gathered.
The paper crane circled in the air and quickly disappeared.
The bus started, and under the unreliable guidance of the system, Qing Li floored the gas pedal, whizzing along.
The ghosts, crammed inside the bus, were jostled so much that they vomited out their entrails. The short twenty-minute ride became an unforgettable nightmare for them…
