Outside, the little girl was no longer in sight.

After dealing with the rotting ghost, the weeds in the ghost house’s yard quickly withered, revealing an abandoned well built of green bricks.

A green stone slab covered the mouth of the well, with a fist-sized hole in the middle.

Threads of black air emerged from the hole, the strange yin energy enveloping the village.

Qing Li looked down the well through the hole, but saw only a blood-red color.

She shifted her gaze and realized that a bloodshot eyeball was pressed against the hole beneath the well cover, blocking her view.

Qing Li calmly took out a long, thin iron rod and thrust it into the hole…

“Ah—”

A scream came from the well, followed by the sound of splashing water, then silence.

Qing Li pulled out the iron rod, which now had a bloody eyeball hanging on it.

However, this bloody scene made many viewers in the live broadcast room think of barbecue.

[“Large iron skewer with eyeball, edamame and peanuts with beer.”]

[‘More cumin, less salt, I can’t eat too salty.’]

[‘To live a good life, eat small barbecues three times a day.’]

Seeing the barrage of comments in the live room, Qing Li brought the bloody eyeball close to the camera.

“Any iron brothers want to eat?”

As a host who pampers her viewers, she of course wanted to meet their needs.

The audience, who were just making sarcastic comments, suddenly fell silent.

Please step back, thank you!

There must be a secret hidden in the well. Qing Li kicked open the heavy well cover, and a damp, disgusting stench of decay hit her face.

Such a strong smell of a corpse – how many dead bodies were thrown into this well?

Qing Li threw a fire talisman into the well. The burning paper quickly lit up the inside of the well, revealing its mossy, muddy walls covered in claw marks. The bottom was piled with various decomposing bodies, some reduced to skeletons, others still fresh.

The fresh corpses had bulging eyeballs and rigid facial features frozen in terror.

They were scared to death!

Suddenly, the pile of bodies began to move.

A bloody, mangled hand emerged from beneath the corpses, followed by a rotting, one-eyed ghostly face. The other eye socket was nothing but a bloody hole.

“Return my eye to me.”

The voice of the one-eyed ghost was filled with intense malice. He crawled out from the pile, his body similar to the other rotting ghosts, with black leeches falling from his mouth. He raised his hand to the wall of the well, climbing up like a skinned gecko…

“So that’s it. This well must be where the villagers keep ghosts, and those bodies are food thrown down to feed them.”

Qing Li rubbed her chin, not at all concerned about the one-eyed ghost.

The one-eyed ghost climbed up rapidly. Just as his nail-less fingers were about to touch Qing Li, a purple thunderbolt struck down, instantly turning him to ash.

Qing Li’s palm stopped glowing with lightning. She threw more fire talismans into the well, igniting the bodies. Thick black smoke and the smell of burning flesh slowly rose from the well…

However, Qing Li’s words had caused an uproar in the live stream.

“[Feeding ghosts deliberately, are all the villagers in this village crazy?]”

“[Ghosts are evil and brutal. These villagers will definitely be bitten back.]”

“[What’s scarier is feeding ghosts with people. If those bodies in the well were killed by the villagers, then they are more terrifying than the ghosts.]”

“[I don’t understand why the villagers would do this?]”

In the silent night, the eerie and sorrowful sound of the suona suddenly rang out, sending shivers down one’s spine in the dark night.

When the suona plays at midnight, a hundred ghosts come to attend a funeral.

Qing Li left the haunted house, her body turning into a shadow, disappearing into the darkness.

At that moment, the village temple was brightly lit, with a row of white paper lanterns hanging under the eaves. The red candles inside burned, their tears weeping blood, emitting an ominous aura.

The villagers, looking like dried corpses, all stood expressionlessly in the courtyard of the temple. In the center of the courtyard were ten coffins.

“Bang—”

“Bang—”

Thudding sounds came from inside the coffins, as if something alive was trapped within.

At this moment, Qing Li was lying on top of the wall, stealthily peering down.

In the ghostly mansion, the dry wells were inhabited by minor spirits, but it seemed the real formidable ones were hidden in the ancestral hall.

“May the deities bless all the villagers of Yellow Grave Village. We are willing to serve you generation after generation, as your most loyal servants.”

“Pray for the blessings of the deities…”

All the villagers in the ancestral hall knelt down.

Hearing the word “deities,” a trace of disdain flashed in Qing Li’s eyes.

These villagers, in their desperation to survive, were using living people as sacrifices and worshiping ghosts as deities. What an immense irony.

“Creak—”

The tightly shut doors of the ancestral hall slowly opened, and a mass of black mist drifted out from the gap, converging in the air into a huge dark shadow, gradually forming a ferocious and twisted ghostly face.

At the sight of this ghostly face, Qing Li’s expression slightly changed.

It was a nearly fierce peak-level ghost, just one step away from becoming a truly formidable one.

The ghost face’s blood-red eyes fell upon the first coffin. The lid of the coffin was shattered, and inside lay a completely naked woman of exquisite beauty. Tears streaked her face as she looked at the ghost face in despair and helplessness.

The ghost face let out a sinister, grating laugh: “I am very satisfied with this offering.”

It swallowed the woman whole, its sharp fangs chewing on her flesh and blood, the sound of bones being crushed eerily clear in the night.

Finally, a jade-like foot fell from the mouth of the ghost face.

It then opened the second coffin with an unfulfilled craving.

Inside the second coffin lay a boy who appeared to be about fifteen or sixteen, with fair skin and handsome features. However, his eyes were lifeless and hollow, as if he had already accepted his fate.

“Why a man? I wanted tender and delicate women, succulent and plump babies. How dare you deceive me with a man.”

The ghost face, enraged, flung the coffin away.

The villagers trembled on the ground, the village chief’s voice shaking as he spoke: “Please, deity, calm your anger. Women and babies are increasingly hard to find, so we substituted with a man. But rest assured, this man is a carefully selected offering, even more precious than a baby. His taste will not disappoint you.”

Yet, the ghost face remained indifferent, cruelly stating, “If that’s the case, then use the women and children of your village as substitutes.”

Suddenly, it sensed something and its bloodshot eyes slowly turned towards the top of the ancestral hall’s wall.

“Heh, isn’t this a tender and delicate woman?”

Its voice was greedy, its tongue licking the saliva between its teeth.

Discovered, Qing Li’s expression was one of irritation and resignation.

Was it because she looked tender and delicate that she had become the object of desire for several ghosts?

It seemed she had to teach these ghosts a lesson – not to be so picky in their tastes.
