“Mistress, this place is falling apart!”
“I’m coming!”
The magic circle began to levitate, emitting an ominous red light.
As if swallowed by the light, the old castle began to crumble, and the chandeliers seemed to break one after another, and the roof collapsed.
“So that’s the teleportation gate.” As they sped away from the old castle, Lisa looked up at the black and cloudy sky.
A blood-colored magic circle was etched in the sky above the old castle, and a teleportation gate appeared as if tearing through the center of the magic circle.
From the open gate, a mud covered in the smell of blood spilled out with a disgusting sound, and the area filled with the stench of decay.
The smell of rotten blood emanated from the mud, and blood itself dripped from the gate, a mixture of undigested human bones, arms, legs, and the like.
They piled up in a heap, spreading human bones and rotting flesh and blood.
The mud-covered flesh and blood began to ripple and move like a slug.
“That’s…” Lisa murmured, her face contorted as she watched the horrifying form that the human bones and rotten flesh were taking.
“It looks like a golem…” Shen Hu responded with a forced smile while holding her nose.
“It must be about 20 meters long…”
A golem, a kind of biological weapon, emerged from the teleportation gate.
“A Demonic Plantation… is that what they want to transport?” As the characteristic hard shell of the Demonic Plantation began to appear, Shen Hu slammed her staff against the ground and looked at Lisa. “Here comes the Demonic Plantation. If the one who released the Lesser Demons in the underground canal also sent this, defeating it will attract the demon giving orders.”
“That’s how it’s going to be.”
The blood and flesh flowing from the teleportation gate ceased, and several skull-shaped shells emerged from the mud of bones and rotten flesh.
Every time the demonic plantations swelled and shrank as if breathing, the ominous evil patterns on their shells flickered.
The flesh, blood, and oozing mud twisted and invaded the ground as if taking root.
The stench of decay in the area became increasingly dense, and then, feeding on the rotten flesh and blood, the Lesser Demons began to appear one after another.
“Weaklings aside, I’ll go for the main body. I’m summoning Karin.” With both hands extended in a praying gesture, Lisa began to convert her magical power into ether.
“I knew you would do that, Mistress! Because ordinary attacks are no match for her!” Shen Hu turned to face Lisa and received the ether released throughout her body.
Then, Shen Hu knelt in place, pressed his own palm against the ground, and began to release the ether, opening her mouth wide.
“I, descendant of the exorcist family, the Sacred Fox calls upon you. I leave this body that belongs to me, and my fate to its right hand.”
Shen Hu’s summoning chant echoed in the air, and the ground began to shake.
As if drawn by the ether, a pentagram of light similar to foxfire formed, and a massive magic circle appeared around the two.
“Answer my call, oh Guardian of the flower garden. Your name is Karin!”
The magic of the dimensional gate activated by the summoning incantation pierced through the void like lightning.

The sound of shattering glass echoed throughout the area, and the space that should have been covered in darkness violently cracked. Like a broken mirror, the fragments of space reflecting the sky unraveled, and as if a dazzling light peeked through, the head of Karin, the spiritual mecha, was revealed.
Karin, with her head protected by armor resembling pink hair and adorned with a jet-black ribbon, directed her bright blue eyes towards Lisa and Shen Hu.
“You’re here!” Turning around with outstretched arms, Lisa looked at Karin and shouted, and in response to her voice, Karin opened space with her orange-armored arms and landed beside Lisa and Shen Hu.
The resonance magic reactor in her chest, protected by the same orange armor as her arms, began to blink in red.
“Activate the resonance magic reactor! I’m counting on you, Mistress.”
“Right!” Lisa closed her eyes and prayed, and Karin resonated with her. The torso door of Karin opened, and Lisa jumped onto the machine.
Lisa, who had boarded Karin, entered a space with glass walls surrounded on all sides by a video panel: an integrated man-machine control tank.
“Shen Hu, let’s go!” Placing her hands on the two crystal orbs that were the input devices floating on the control panel, Lisa activated the resonance magic reactor.
“I’m on it!” Shen Hu, in front of Karin, simultaneously sent ether towards the resonance magic reactor. In response to the ether from both inside and outside, the red blinking of the resonance magic reactor gradually increased in speed and finally lit up completely.
“Let’s go!!!” Following Lisa’s lead, Shen Hu jumped onto the back of the mecha, patted Karin’s back, and poured ether into her.
“Resonance magic reactor, activate!” At Lisa’s signal, the light of Karin’s resonance magic reactor changed from red to green and began to burn like a flame.
“Woooooah, I’m filled with power!”
Lisa’s ether was amplified by activating Karin’s resonance magic reactor. The amplified ether also affected Shen Hu, who continued to send ether, and her magical power was noticeably restored.
“The final combination is approved!”
At the same time as Shen Hu’s shout, the ground sank heavily, and a violent cloud of smoke rose. What cleared the smoke was Shen Hu’s gigantic tail.
Shen Hu, now as enormous as Karin, thrust her fist into the void. The armor drawn by magic materialized and covered her entire body.
“Gao Shen Hu! Here it comes![1]“ Shen Hu, who had taken the form of a celestial fox in battle mode, clad in armor, struck a mysterious pose with her thumb, index finger, and middle finger on her forehead.
“What’s with that all of a sudden?! That armor didn’t have a name like that, did it?!” Lisa, who was watching Shen Hu’s gigantic transformation through the video panel of the Karin-controlled tank, exclaimed involuntarily.
“It’s cool, right?! I came up with it earlier!” Shen Hu smiled proudly as she floated in the air.
“Earlier… I mean, what was that you were doing in the first place?”
She said it to herself, but it seemed to have leaked through the speaker, and Shen Hu turned around with a smile.
“Hehehe, it’s what they call a man’s romance.”
“Another incomprehensible analogy…”
The Demon Plantation was producing Lesser Demons one after another. Lisa let out a deep sigh at the sight of Shen Hu, who was smiling cheerfully despite the critical situation.
