The tsundere mistress and her fox-eared servant on a yuri journey to defeat demons
Chapter 7: The Battle of the Enforcers
“Let’s parley! Foxfires, go for the lesser demons with more heat!” Shen Hu, in her celestial fox form and very enthusiastic, sent her fox fires to burn down the hordes of Lesser Demons.
Along with Shen Hu’s gigantic size, the fox fires also turned into a massive purple fireball and mowed down the entire Demonic Plantation and the horde of Lesser Demons.
“High heat value… they’ve all been incinerated…” She muttered as she approached the image board, checking the damage on the Demonic Plantation.
The Lesser Demons that were spawned returned to the decayed ground, but the mud overflowing from the Demonic Plantation continued to flow incessantly.
“As long as the Demonic Plantations is not defeated, this battle will continue.”
The mud staining and eroding the ground transformed into Lesser Demons, and their huge eyes on their torsos moved as if searching for Karin and Shen Hu.
“If you already know, then quickly strike the main body!”
“No, that’s not my job.”
“Why are…?” Lisa was about to say something, but then she looked at the teleportation gate indicated by Shen Hu and fell silent.
“We need to finish off the mastermind.” Shen Hu pointed the way, and through the closing gate, a gigantic armored demonic creature appeared.
The humanoid creature, covered in beetle-shell-shaped armor, had a mantis-like head pointing towards the ground. In its hand, it held an ominously designed scythe, and the dragon-shaped wings on its back slowly unfolded.
“Sarg, what’s happening? Why did you accelerate the activation of the teleportation gate?”
A deep voice resonated through a speaker.
The demon’s wings on its back, cautiously beginning its descent while questioning, made a sound with its metallic wings.
“Those wings have a Gehenna Converter in them, which means it’s a Malevolent Armor Soldier.”
Malevolent Armor Soldiers were giant biological weapons used by demons. Their bodies and armor were constructed from shells and muscles of giant monsters living in the demonic world, and they freely flew through the sky equipped with wing-like flying engines called Gehenna Converters on their backs. The user of the biological weapon would climb into the pilot’s seat, called the “skeletal core,” and the biological weapon would activate through a neural connection with the machine. Attacks launched from its enormous eight-meter-long body had a formidable destructive power that could easily destroy even the walls surrounding a city.
“Furthermore, it’s a very prestigious one. I wonder if we can expect a bonus from the organization for this.”
The Malevolent Armor Soldier remained in the air, observing the figure of Lisa’s Karin and Shen Hu.
However, it didn’t seem to have given up on its search for Sarg, and, wielding its scythe in frustration, began to float around the old, crumbling castle in ruins.
“It’s alright, Mistress. I’ll take care of that big guy.”
“No, I’ll handle him. I’m on it.” She placed her palm on the crystal ball and let Karin sprint at full speed.
The Malevolent Armor Soldier, who could no longer ignore Karin as it approached the limit of its range, turned toward her, displaying its anger.
“Who are you!?”
“I am Lisa Edelweiss, a member of the Holy Cult Organization and an Enforcer. I am a demon specialist hunter. If you’re looking for Sarg, I would say it’s likely buried around here.” She pointed at a pile of debris, causing Karin to step back a bit.
She placed her hand on the magical shotgun, ready to launch an attack at any moment.
“The holy cult organization? Sarg, you were supposed to have them by the balls…” The Malevolent Armor Soldier that landed on the debris of the old castle stomped angrily.
“That’s what I mean. I don’t know what you’re up to, but it ends here.”
“Heh, whatever it is you’re up to, You won’t stand in my way. You’ll die here.”
There was a flash.
“……!!”
But she didn’t let her guard down.
She was expecting an attack.
However, the fiery lance embodied by the Malevolent Armor Soldier struck Karin, and with a roar, an explosion erupted.
A massive eyeball rolled on the ground, wet with reddish-black muddy soil that smelled of blood.
“It absorbed the mud from the underground channels and consumed a bunch of sacrifices… and it seems to have no end…”
Shen Hu, who seemed unable to hide her anger, murmured as she looked at the Demonic Plantation in front of her while using her sorcery to create twin swords: the Flowing Lotus Swords – Rukurenken. Although she managed to cut through the horde of lesser demons and approach, the Demonic Plantation, which was the main body, continued to produce new lesser demons. The canals filled with human bones deeply embedded in the ground moved awkwardly as if something were sucking them in. The mud seeping through the cracks further inflated the body of the Demonic Plantation and spread, creating blood-colored malicious emblems in the mud.
“It’s like a perpetual machine with infinite recovery. Couldn’t they teach me some of those tricks too?” She mocked aloud. The only response was the laughter of the lesser demons, devoid of any trace of intelligence, and the Demonic Plantation continued silently fulfilling its function of manufacturing them.
“I have no choice but to destroy the main body…” She exhaled, caught her breath, and slowly closed the distance between herself and the Demonic Plantation. Shen Hu moved within the space of the Demonic Plantation, paying no mind to the huge eyeballs of the lesser demons, still in the process of production, moving to catch her target.
“At this distance, how about…?” She readied her twin swords and slashed at the Demonic Plantation, aiming for a gap in its armor. “……!!”
However, the flesh and bones of the decomposing corpses and the armor beneath the mud easily broke one of Shen Hu’s twin swords.
“I guess ordinary attacks won’t work…” The remaining sword was enveloped in foxfire. The sword was shrouded in purple flames, and Shen Hu, holding it low in a stabbing position, howled and shouted, “Fox Thrust, point-blank!”
The sword’s tip thrust vigorously toward the Demonic Plantation.
Shen Hu’s close-range attack, launched with maximum firepower, shattered the moment it touched the armor of the Demonic Plantation.
“As expected of a Demonic Plantation, but this is nothing!”
The sword not only broke at the tip but also bent almost to the point of breaking under the simultaneous force of offensive and defensive attacks.
“It’s useless.”
The Lesser Demons, endowed with arms and legs, began to caw loudly as if mocking Shen Hu, who muttered to herself.
“But don’t be carried away; I have two more transformations left…” With that murmur, she quickly jumped backward, maintaining a distance between the Demonic Plantation and the Lesser Demons.
The Lesser Demons, produced in large quantities, pulled their limbs from the mud and began twisting their bodies as if about to pounce.
“What can we do? I guess it’s time for my last resort!”
Shen Hu, with her broken sword embedded, raised her hands high toward the sky.
“The sky, the earth, and everything that lives on the earth…”
One by one, foxfires began to ignite at the tips of Shen Hu’s fingers. Slowly, it began to rise to the surface and form a massive circle.
“Give me a bit of ether, just a bit!”
The circle drawn by the foxfires burned fiercely, transforming into an extremely large mass of foxfire.
Shen Hu, enveloped in purple flames and holding a foxfire that danced wildly with the flames, aimed at the Demonic Plantation and lowered her arm.
“This is my ultimate technique! Shen Hu spirit boooooooomb!”
The extremely large foxfire ball bounced off the Lesser Demons and exploded, engulfing the Demonic Plantation and its sturdy armor.
“Ha, those burns might not heal!” Shen Hu floated into the sky with an ironic smile and escaped the explosion, but her body began to descend despite her will. “Oh well~…”
The momentum of the lingering foxfire behind her slowed her down before she realized.
Shen Hu, who lost balance upon landing due to the speed of her descent, somehow managed to get up on her hands and one knee, exhaling.
“I’ve spent too much of my magical power… In my younger years, it wouldn’t have been a problem…” Exhaling sharply and leaning on her knees with her arms, Shen Hu’s eyes searched for the figure of Karin. “I should have eaten a bit more…”
The first thing that came to mind was the fact that the two had been together in the same room for a long time.
“I entrust the rest to you, Mistress…”
