What's Wrong With Seeking Death? - Chapter 7
When Gu Chenfeng heard this, he immediately became anxious, “You idiot, do you want to die?!”
Sports Committee, “?”
“The Snowstorm Villa Model(2), you know!” Gu Chenfeng watched countless movies and his brain finally felt useful at this time, “Which person dies first in a horror movie? It’s always the one who is alone!”
(T/N: Refers to a setting stage for a horror movie/plot that confides a group of 5-15 people in an enclosed space. To set the mood, the people would also have no means of contact with the outside world and have to complete ‘tasks’ to get out, even under the pressure of sacrificing someone every specific time frame)
This remark, no matter whether it was justified or not, seemed kind of legitimate at times like this. Xu Turan next to him suddenly nodded with understanding and said with a studious spirit, “What else?”
Gu Chenfeng, “Huh?”
“In horror movies, who else dies easily?” Xu Turan didn’t give up any learning opportunities, “Except for those who are alone?”
“Also… The ones who have nothing better to do and go to the toilet. The toilet is the most dangerous place,” Gu Chenfeng was stunned by her question and walked a few steps to the side unhappily, “That kind of confined space is dangerous, especially if the door is locked and it’s dark. Places without anyone present also tend to be dangerous. There are also spaces or areas that make strange noises or make you see weird shadows. Times like that, you must never try to go near and ‘check it out’. Whoever does that would only be met with a grim sight…ugh!”
He was halfway through his scientific explanation before he finally realised that something felt amiss, “Why are you asking so much? You… Xu Turan?!”
When he turned his head, he realised that Xu Turan, who was beside him, had disappeared.
Almost at the same time, there were light and swift footsteps on the stairs—there was no gap between the handrails of the stairs, so they couldn’t see the situation on the stairs from their perspective. Therefore, Gu Chenfeng processed the information in his mind before realising that it was none other than Xu Turan who was stepping on the stairs and running away.
“Hey! X-Xu Turan?” Gu Xiaoya cautiously approached the stairs, lowered her voice and called out, “Where are you going? Don’t run around!”
Xu Turan’s voice echoed down from above, “Don’t worry about me, I’m just going to go to the bathroom upstairs alone!”
Gu Chenfeng, “…”
Good god, the conditions would be complete.
Even though he spent all that time explaining why it wouldn’t be ideal to be alone.
Gu Xiaoya was still worried about her and wanted to catch up. However, after taking a few steps, she heard another ‘bang’ from the cabinet behind her, making her legs immediately go limp.
Gu Chenfeng hurried forward and dragged his sister back, “Why do you care about her? I told you earlier that she isn’t normal!”
After speaking, he glanced at the stairs. He was thinking about going to find her when the Class Monitor said, “Enough, time is limited,” He said whilst tapping the quartz watch on his wrist, “Let’s think about how we can survive.”
Xu Turan didn’t know how the others would react and what they would do after hearing her words, and to be honest, she didn’t care either.
Before she left, she gave the Class Monitor a look. That Gu Chenfeng guy had dealt with her the original Xu Turan’s confession and was pretty good at controlling the scene in certain situations, so he probably wouldn’t be initiating any sort of stupid ideas such as bringing the gang together to follow her.
Xu Turan’s goal was very clear, heading directly towards the toilet at the end of the corridor on the 3rd floor. But she didn’t forget to look inside each room along the way, trying to find any strange sounds or ghosts. Unfortunately, besides a really annoying cabinet, there wasn’t anything else worth mentioning.
